Well here i am at 27 weeks pregnant, and counting! This pregnancy was a surprise to me and Roger. We had just recently gotten together, after he found me on the internet (My space) we knew each other from back when I was 16, and him 19. ( I had a crush on him back then for awhile, although not really sure he knew that back then) Well he finally came out to chicago from seattle, and we are now together, happily. I thought that i was never going to have children again, One because I figured I was too old and done with just my 16 year old, and second, because both me and Roger thought we could not have any more children, but here I am 17 years later, defenitely nervous, and excited!!! My son, who is 16, is starting to get more excited about his little sister coming, at first, becasue of the age difference, i dont think he was sure. She will have 2 big brothers, my son and Rogers 2 1/2 year old son Brandon. This has not been the easiest pregnancy for me, in the beginning, i was doing a lot of bleeding, and at one point the doctor even told me that i was miscarrying, and had asked me if i wanted a D&C, I said no, and thank god, cuz she is one heck of a fighter!! After that I bleed 2 other times, alot, and each time i went to the emergency room, the doctors would tell me i was dialated and most likely miscarrying, but then i would go for the ultrasound, and there she was jumping around like a little monkey!! So she is defenetily a fighter, and she really wants to be here, we both cant wait to meet her!!! We have had the nursery done now since September, and i already have a closet full of clothes, not to mention her dressers are full already, she is going to be sooo spoiled, and will be a daddys girl for sure!

Just about the time you think you can't handle hearing one more 'when is that baby going to pop?', your baby will decide to make it's appearance. We predict your baby will be born 3-7 days before your due date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 7.5 pounds and that your labor will be about 11 hours long.

Well I'm glad your little one is doing better! I can't imagine going through all of that, you must be exhausted. She looked too cute in her little Easter dress! We are doing well. Alyssa is great, and I am trying to get myself ready to go back to work in 3 weeks. Not looking forward to that!!

dolphinloves4 - Saturday, 5 April
Omg that is awful! I'm so glad to hear that she's doing much better now. I know how scary things like that can be and how you want to take them from the doctors and nurses. My second son, Adam, went through hell and back when he was born and then six months later ended up with RSV. I couldn't take it at some points and had to leave the room.

Your daughter is sooooo beautiful! ^^ Just too precious for words. I wanted so badly to have a little girl and be able to dress her up for Easter lol I just adore all the little dresses they have for baby girls. Dressing up boys isn't nearly as fun on the holidays as all the outfits look geeky lol I prefer every day wear for little boys, they look so cute in jeans and hoodies/fleeces. I just love the Baby Gap and Old Navy!

Evan is doing great. He just had his one month check up today and is nearly 10 pounds already! He's just getting so big...it's amazing how fast time flies.

I hope that you and your daughter continue to do well and I am so happy to hear that she's much better from the RSV ^^

She is PRECIOUS!! I look at my little girl the same way..only another mommy understands this kind of love. I'm so happy for you!

Thank you for the congrats! What you said is SO true. Even though it's exhausting at times, there is nothing better than taking care of this little angel. I couldn't be happier. Let me know how you and your baby girl are doing!! And I hope you are enjoying your time off of work...I know I am :)

dolphinloves4 - Monday, 3 Mar

This is a general message to everyone who left a comment on my VIP page: I thought I would let you know that I have just posted a very detailed birth story on my VIP page. You can read it under 'olga83's children' in the top menu on my page. Good luck :) P.S. Thank you for your comment and congratulations :) I am sorry I cannot reply to everyone because with the new baby in the house I really have no time to log in long enough to reply to everyone :) Please let me know when you give birth by sending me private message. I would love to hear your story and see the pictures!!!

momma2bagain - Thursday, 21 Feb
Thanks! Best of luck to you. I hope you have a smooth labor and delivery!!! :)

dolphinloves4 - Thursday, 21 Feb
Congrats ^^ I hope all goes well for you and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow :)
I'm really hoping beyond hope that I've made enough progress to where she'll be willing to induce me over the weekend but I doubt that I have :( All I can do is cross my fingers lol
Anyways good luck tomorrow! ^^

dolphinloves4 - Tuesday, 19 Feb
Ouch :/ I had to go to the lab on friday for a urine test but no one has called me for the results so I'm assuming that I'm in the clear for any infections. I'd almost rather have the infection because at least that way there would be SOME reason for why I'm in so much pain *sigh*
I'm just so frustrated atm since I'm in all this pain and seem to be no closer to giving birth :( I just want to give birth and be able to cuddle my baby and be on the road to recovery lol
Hopefully we both can have our babies soon lol

I'm thinking the same thing. I was told to take 2 tylenol for pain and it's a joke as it doesn't even touch it. I understand that I'm limited to what I can take with the baby. I don't want anything that's going to hurt him but certainly there is something that is safe that is stronger than tylenol.
I understand what you mean about not doing anything. I had to sit here while my mother and husband were picking up my house and omg did it annoy me. My husband has also been doing the laundry, dishes, and all the cooking. I know it sounds horrible to sound ungrateful but I just want to scream at him lol I am far too anal with how I like things done lmao but I just can't do anything but sit here. It's horrible, I can't even go to the bathroom by myself, my husband has to help me. I can't even put my own pants on ; ; I cant lift my legs to get them on...it's THAT bad.
If I'm still like this tomorrow, I think I will have no choice but to call and find out what I can do. I've already tried heating pads, warm baths...my husband even tried a lotion rubdown. I've tried to do pelvic excersises too (couldnt manage the pain to do them right though)
I know that I'm going to have an epidural if I go into labor with this pain, there's no way I can handle it.

amber6189 - Sunday, 17 Feb
Hey!! I agree, work is really tough right now. You are so lucky to be done soon. Good luck with your induction. I know you will be busy, but definitely let me know how it goes and post some pics of the baby!

dolphinloves4 - Saturday, 16 Feb
I've been having bad period like cramps myself for the past week accompanied by really bad lower back pain. I'll also have strong braxton hicks contractions, some regular at times but mostly irregular. I brought this up to my midwife today and she said these are all pre-labor signs, which only means that the body is making it's preparations for getting itself ready for the big day. She said that this usually happens a week to two weeks prior to actual labor. I've also had loose stools with mine, which is another sign of prelabor.
but she checked me today and my cervix has only soften but has yet to really thin out or dialate. So hopefully I'll make some progress soon lol
If you are concerned with what you are feeling, you can always call your doctor and see if you can't go into labor and delivery to get yourself checked out, it's always better to get some peace of mind. Good luck to you and hope that helps some ^^

CaseyLynn - Saturday, 16 Feb
I have those menstrul cramps too sometimes. I was told that they are pretty normal and it is just part of your body getting itself ready. You are almost there so just hang in there and good luck. If you are really worried about it call your doctor.

nellybelly - Saturday, 9 Feb
I'm going through almost the exact same thing you are right now. Yesterday had my weekly internal, and was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Last night, I felt contractions and had some brown discharge. Talk about excitement!!!! I ran around the house making sure that everything was ready. This morning however, nothing..... I'm wondering if the discharge was a result of the internal exam? Well, I know how you feel, and how excited you are right now. Escpecially with what you've gone through with the pregnancy. Hang in there!! Your precious baby girl will come out as soon as she's ready! By the way, I'm also 36 and having a baby girl!

momma2bagain - Saturday, 9 Feb
Not to dissappoint you but I've been 3cm and 90% effaced with baby's head fully engaged for about a week and half now. I had been having tons of contractions but haven't really had any the past few days. :( It's different for everybody though so hopefully you will go soon!!! Best of luck to you.

hawaiimom - Thursday, 7 Feb
My husband is military and his schedule was conflicting with my due date. The only way he was going to be able to spend time with me and the baby was if I had the baby on the 14th and then he can take off until the 19th. I explained that to her and she said 'So you would like me to induce you on the 14th?' and of course I said yes, so she called the hospital and set it up and said 'I guess we will see you at the hospital at 7:30 on Valentine's Day'.

ikmg80 - Thursday, 7 Feb
I've been swollen for a bit now and is mostly on my left side lol My doc says that as long as my blood pressure is good and no protein in urine I'm fine....

first-time-momy - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Last week I started to swell, but it was just for 2 days. I was just like you one foot and wrist was bigger than the other one. I said to my doctor and she told me the reason is because the baby will come down more and block blood to come up and stay more in foot. Drinking more water will help a little bit. But keep in mind if you are swelling and your blood pressure is high you should call your doctor with no hesitation. Take care
