just wanted to let you know a little about how UPS works. At least in the US. If your item is tracked and it shows that it was left at the door step or wherever with no signature, you can contact the shipper and they will file a UPS claim. Once that is completed they shipper will then ship you out a new item, most likely with a signature request. It is a pain in the butt, but you will not be out of your item and no money will be lost. There are so many places out there that don't require signatures and it can be frustrating. I actually had the reverse problem happen. I ordered something and found out it HAD to have a signature after the first attempted delivery. I tried to have it rerouted to another address so I could get the signature and the shipper refused. My item ended up being returned to the shipper as undeliverable. It took me over 2 months to finally get the item I paid for.

What a drag, I know here in the US we have the option of having our packages signed for. I always have my items shipped to work so I know I get them. I wouldn't want something left on my front door either.

Great advice you gave about the Down's test results. Glad to see someone look for positive and not all the negative and worry wort action that is mostly out there. I have been putting off having tests done because my husband would want to abort if they showed a problem and I would NEVER do that. This baby is our third try we have miscarried two. Anyway, congrats to you doing YOUR OWN research...I do the same all the time and read a lot. We ALL have to take our health into our own hands to some degree. Kara

Gosh that sucks about the downs syndrome scare! I just did my blood tests yesterday to screen for Downs and some other genetic defects. I also go back on Aug. 27 for my full fetal ultrasound so I'm hoping they can CONFIRM it's a boy....I already bought some blue stuff lol

Girl... I didnt even bother w/ that test! It didnt make a diff even if the baby did have down syndrome, and plus those tests are 50/50! How crazy... why even have a test done if it isn't even close to 80% accurate! I didnt feel the need! Like I said, its not gonna make a diff anyway. I knew someone who had that test done and it came back + and they had an abortion! How sick, considering that test wasn't even 100%!!! Good lookn out for others on those tests though!

Thank God you found that out before an amnio or worse a CVS. I had a MC due to a CVS at 14 weeks and a friend had a horrible experience as well. Amnio procedures can have the same effect and then it can turn out the baby was fine all along. Very scary. I am so happy for you. I opted to not have the AFP testing because of the high amount of false positives. My Dr. also discourages the testing himself so I thought that was a big sign right there not to do it. I am so happy for you. Breathe easy and concentrate on your HEALTHY beautiful baby YEY!!!
