Monday, 17 Mar sounds to me like your doctor sucks, just like mine. Normal Docs check their patients starting at 36 weeks, and they have an internal exam every week up until they deliver. I asked my Dr. to check me last week at 37 weeks and he refused and said that Docs who check are dumb. He said that the only way he will check me is AFTER my due date, in which he will need to check to see how far along i am for the induction i suppopse. Hopefully your Dr. is not as big of a jerk as mine. I think the reason mine sucks so much is because i am on medicaid :( and he hates me. BABY3 -

Friday, 14 Mar My doctor is like that as well, he has never checked me, it seems like all the ladies on here know measurements, effaced this and that, andif it wasn't for this web site Iwouldn't know what any of it means...not that it matters cause my doc doesn't tell me much. BABY3 -
Thursday, 13 Mar You might be having braxton hicks contractions, or it just might be the baby moving around, other than that, is everything ok? I went to the dr this morning, everything the same, I haven't dilated anymore, but we are still on for inducing on the 18th, I am so ready. When do you go back to the dr? lucas-N-logansMama0708 -

Saturday, 8 Mar I figured that I would be dilated because this is my 3rd, and usually you dilate sooner after the 1st. Just the usual discomforts of pregnancy, and I have been having braxton hicks for a long time. What are you having? BABY3 -
Friday, 7 Mar 1 to 1 1/2 dilated, and about half way thinned out. But then Thursday I started getting like flu like symptoms and of course they can't treat it, so I'm at home feeling terrible. bridgepooh -

Tuesday, 4 Mar Your ultrasound pics turned out good....I did it with my last child but they didn't turn out real good. BABY3 -
Tuesday, 4 Mar They could tell when they done the 3-D ultrasound, but I would ask when you go back. I think if he hadn't turned they would have told you. BABY3 -
Tuesday, 4 Mar They could tell by just feeling my belly, but the internal exam starts this week--since I am 36 weeks now, my Dr said that if he still was not a 100% sure that they would do an ultrasound to be sure. Keep your fingers crossed. This is my 3rd, my other 2 had already turned way before now, so I am very nervous. I'll let you know Wednesday. Do you know what you are having? 2nd-time-mommy -

Monday, 3 Mar I totally agree with newbaby1: ignore the horror stories. I guarantee that people exaggerate some of it. If you are super scared, it will hurt more, so you need to find some way to relax. Read about gentle births. I just keep thinking of my friend who said that birth was the most amazing feat she's ever accomplished. She said that it hurt but that it didn't matter because it just meant her baby was that much closer to birth. She said it was beautiful. She had no drugs and laboured for 3 days, but she still feels that it was powerful and wonderful. newbaby1 -
Monday, 3 Mar Hey girl.....DON'T listen to the horror stories! Everyone has a different experience and experiences pain differently. Just b/c one person had a horrible experience does not mean you are going to. My sister had her baby at home with a mid-wife and had a wonderful experience......almost no pain. This is my first also and I was really freaking out about it so my sister gave me her hypno-birthing book and it really helped calm me down. It suggests when people start to tell you their horror stories...just ask them to wait until you have had your baby. :) Don't stress...you will be fine. :) lexzee -
Monday, 3 Mar Go for a C-Section!! Its pain free (except for a slightly longer recovery)! This is my second one and if I had to have a natural birth I would be freaking out, too!! I had a csection with my first and now with this one I am totally anxiety free because I know what to expect.. its really not bad at all Rachel918 -
Monday, 3 Mar Thanks for your comment! Yea mine is right under my breast, almsot between the two ribs where they would meet. But I think from touching it so much yesterday I irritated it lol.. Monday, 3 Mar HI,
Listen, you will be alright I promise. It will go by so fast you won't even be thinking about pain. Your mission will be to push that baby out. To me it felt like I had to go to the bathroom(#2) and the pain is maybe a little worse period cramps. IF you can get thru a bad period(cramps) then you can do this. I promise. You will be fine. Try not to freak out b/c then your muscles will get all tight and agitated. Well hon good luck to you and I promise when that baby comes out you will not even remember what it was like. Your going to be so happy. Take care. :)
