My First Baby...On Her Way!

Hello, I guess I’ll tell you a little about my self...I’m 24 years old and expecting my first baby with my husband. I have been married for a little more than a year but have spent eight years prior to marriage with him! i am high risk due to diabetes, i was considered boarder line diabetic when i was 18 but now i currently have to use insulin. also at the age of 18 I was told i had pcos and i do not ovulate. do to the pcos it was a extra small chance that i would be able to conceive, by the way let me add that i hardly ever got my period do to unbalanced hormones...making it hard to get pregnant. well I gave up! what do you know 5 years later I’m expecting my blessing, i hank God every kick i feel!

I'm now a few days away from being 8 1/2 months! i am just now experiencing heart burn, once again morning sickness and shortness of breath. i see my ob/gyn once a week, starting this week. he has ordered NST ( non stress testing) once every other week due to the fact of one dizzy spell i had. i have gotten ultra sounds once every month and as of today gained only 12 lbs. i cant wait to see what we have created!

Caracaya - Tuesday, 24 June
I am in week 38 of my pregnancy, and my baby is head down and engaged now. She was traverse most of the pregnancy, though. She turned pretty late. I think it was in week 36 or so. My doctor told me not to worry until I hit week 37 or so, so you have nothing to worry about at this point. Good luck.

Head down... Has been for a month. But he could still flip and become breech..... Ugh! So far down, but not engaged yet.

My little one was head down from week 31. BUT she changed to breech 3 days ago, week 34. Mine is especially small, which is why I have weekly ultrasounds and know what her position is. It also makes it easier for her to change position since there's room for movement.

What a sweet photo. Nice moment to capture!

My baby is head down and has been since about week 30/31. I'm now 37 weeks and 2cm dialated and 50% effaced. She is engaged in pelvis and I'm hoping she decides its time for her arrival any day now!! Good luck!!

armywifeash - Tuesday, 24 June
Mine has been head down the whole time for all I know. I had my first ultrasound at 19 weeks and she was head down. Then at week 30 the doctor felt where the head was and said she's still head down. Keeping my fingers crossed she stays that way!

JoMaBaby - Tuesday, 24 June

Hey :-) He was head down at 29 weeks then he went breech at about 30 weeks till about 33/34 weeks and then he went head down, they thought he was still breech but my ultrasound today confirmed he is head down! His head is in fact engaged.

mamajohnson - Tuesday, 24 June
I learned mine was head down 32 weeks, but I know she was there long before...that's just when I first asked for them to check...

My baby is head down, he was breech at my 28th week appt. but I actually used a flashlight at the base of my stomach....really low and did that for maybe 4 days (whenever I thought about it...or was laying down) and he flipped right around.. really the coolest thing to feel lol.

DonnaMarie - Friday, 30 May
Best of luck on your trip, enjoy it before baby takes over in a few months ;)

angelbabies14 - Friday, 30 May
All i can say is frequent stops to get up and walk so your legs and feet don't swell and of course you'll have to pee so it works out fine :) don't forget to stay hydrated and bring snacks. I've done that trip many times (not pregnant) so I know from PA to FL is about the same time 22/24 hours or so. If you guys are tired or your achy please pull over and maybe get a cheap room to relax in it'll be worth the few bucks just to feel better and then continue on. have fun let us know how it went!! be safe!

tamian - Friday, 30 May
How is it a 21 hour trip? Are you driving?
Sounds fun!

SandraD - Friday, 30 May
Hey there, I live in central florida and I my first husband has been to Celebration hospital and they are good, or at least they were for us. I am sure things will be just fine. Your body will let you know what you can and can not do even if this if your first baby. Be ready to come and enjoy the heat....lol....bring lots of light clothes to help keep cooler. Enjoy your trip
