Monday, 9 June Hey Lady!!!
How are you? I havent spoken to you in a while! How is Laney doing?
Madison is doing great! Although she still has the acid reflux daily...I guess its getting a little better...maybe??? She still takes the Axid twice a day but I dont really think its helping her at all? She started rolling over last Sunday...a week ago from today. She's an active little thing. She stands on her legs all the time and acts like she wants to walk. When she's on her belly she kicks those little legs as if she wants to crawl somewhere but cant seem to figure out how to do it yet! She's just too cute...I am so in love!!! She's still not sitting up on her own yet...but tries real hard with the Bebe Pod seat!
We went to a wedding this weekend and the hotel had a swimming pool. It was her first time in a big pool. She didnt like it at first but I held her real close and she started to relax more.
I am thinking she's probably around 13 1/2 pds now, but I dont know for sure. She was 12pds, 5ozs at her appt two weeks ago. But I feel like she's growing like a weed. I went through her clothes the other day and started putting the newborn stuff in boxes.
Hey..how much does Laney eat at one feeding? Madison still only eats 4ozs, every two hours. At night she usually goes from 9:30-4:30am, but after that she eats every two hours. I guess maybe because of the acid reflux???
Okay...well I thought she was finally asleep but she's crying so I gotta go.
Hope yall are doing well!

Thursday, 5 June Evan just got put on an antacid too. hes been a super spitty baby since he was born. The doctor told me that in a few weeks he might have to go back and get the dosage changed because he will likely pak on the pounds. maybe this is your problem. i owuld talk to your ped and go in for a check up maybe they need to up the doasge, there is also other medicines they can go on so maybe she just got use to this one and needs another. good luck and keep us posted! :) llivory79 -
Friday, 30 May Hey!!! Geez...I havent been on here in a while! Madison had her 4 month check up last Wednesday. She weighed 12pds, 5ozs (25-50th) and was 23 1/2 (25th) inches long. I feel like she is soooo big these days!
We also started her on the rice cereal. She doesnt care much for it either...I have been mixing it with a little of that apple/banana gerber juice. She likes it at times, but other times she just spits it out and isnt interested. I just try her on it once or twice a day until she is ready for it!
I have stopped pumping....completely. I stopped last Tuesday so its been over a week. I cried and cried for the first few days, but its so much easier on me now without pumping all the time. I was only getting 1/2 oz each time I pumped so I just said to heck with it! It wasnt even worth my time at the end!!!
Madison is doing good though. She still has the reflux...pretty bad at times! The doctor said it usually peaks around 4 months and hopefully it wont get any worse! She stil takes the Axid off and on! Still has gas problems off and on but we give her mylanta and milacon...per doctors orders and it really helps her for the most part!
She is trying to sit up on her own but still hasnt figured it out yet...almost there. She pushes up on her legs a lot now and is working on rolling over or crawling...I dont know which she will do first!!! ITs so much fun watching her grow!!
Okay...hope you guys are doing well! I need to update my picts...Lainey is way TOO cute!!! hawaiimommy -

Thursday, 22 May LOL I think all of Paige's weight is in her cheeks!
I read your post about Lainey laughing, that's great! I'm jealous!!! That is the one milestone I am hoping to see sooner rather than later... I think Paige is close, she'll make a straight line with her mouth but refuses to curl up those sides into a grin, little bugger. When she is sleeping she smiles, laughs and giggles, it is so adorable, I want her to do it when she is awake.
How much does Lainey eat now? Paige is eating 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. She is getting the higher-calorie preemie formula.

Wednesday, 21 May Yay, someone who understands what a BIG DEAL drinking from the bottle is! It's insane when you think about all those early milestones our preemies had that everyone else takes for granted. I remember also the first night Paige got to wear clothes I was literally jumping up and down with excitment in the NICU. LOL She was over a month old! The nurse surprised me with the news and helped me pick out which outfit she would wear that night.
On this site I am hanging out on two seperate months... 0 (Paige's developmental age) and 3 months. I can relate to the giving of shots and passage of time in the 3 month forum, but I try to judge her progress in milestones in the 0 month forum. I'm finding it hard to keep my expectations for milestones in check... I realize that Paige is having an extended newborn phase but time seems to be standing still! Did it seem the same when you had your son?
BTW your little girl has the sweetest face. Precious! And by the photos, big brother looks like he is doing an awesome job already. usagi -

Love the family photo!!! jesslf -
Tuesday, 20 May Hi Tanner is our 3rd. My daughters are 4 and 21/2. It can be a challenge at times. It wasn't hard being pregnant w/ Tanner and having the girls and after he was born the girls loved him! They weren't jealous or nothing. As for keeping up w/ them that's a different story,LOL It seems to be a bigger step going 2-3 instead of 1-2 kids. They can all be demanding at once and want your one on time. We did have to get van last yr for our growing family and for more room. The perk of it we had all the baby stuff, just needed boy clothes. You can get worn out no matter how many kids you have. If you plan on a 3rd you will just work him/her right in the family. It's all worth it! We are even going to try for # 4 but not any time soon! Only thing is going for walks, unless you buy a 3 seater stroller! LOL baby bug -
Tuesday, 20 May I read your message regarding having more than 2 kids. i have 2 sons aged 3 and 6 and a daughter who is almost 4 months old. I can honestly say that being pregnant for the 3rd time was way harder seeing as keeping up with 2 kids who didn't nap was exhausting! Bringing home the baby was easier than with our second as our sons don't have any sibling rivalry or jealousy and they are at the age where they are fairly independent. However, being a mom of 3 now past the early days, is definitely a lot of work!! I constantly feel like one of the boys is being left out, because our baby girl is so demanding. I feel like it is hard to balance all of their needs ( that probably will get easier as the baby gets older though). In terms of lifestyle changes, our sons were already sharing a room long before I got pregnant and we have a vehicle where we can fit lots of passengers. Really and truly though, I always wanted to have 3 kids and I wouldn't change it for anything!! hawaiimommy -

Monday, 19 May Thanks for the tip about saving some milk. I thought about pumping but it was 2 in the morning. I didn't want to get out of bed. I actually got up and expressed some into the bathroom sink. ha ha ha, whatever it takes to get me back to sleep while baby sleeps. melSue01 -
Thursday, 15 May have you checked your local craigs list for a saucer? The newest evenflos are nice, and they make interchangeable toys you can swap out. All you gotta do is sanitize it, they're usually in good shape, babies are only in them for a couple of months, once they start crawling/walking they'll be out of them anyways. llivory79 -
Thursday, 15 May Hey! I am feeling kind of guilty! Madison will be 4 months old next Wednesday. She never latched on so I have been pumping for the past 4 months for her. My milk production is slowing down a lot, especially since I came back to work. I usually only get an ounce each side and she eats around 4 ounces every feeding so I am already supplementing with formula. I am going to stop pumping and totally formula feed her the end of the month. She still has the acid reflux pretty bad at times and I just hope its not because of the formula or anything that I am doing!!! I dont know why I feel so bad about switching completely to formula???? Hey Girl!!! I posted that on the 3 month webpage a few minutes ago! I dont know why I am having such a hard time right now with the whole pumping thing. Madison was sick this morning. I called the doctor and they said theres really nothing they can give to her right now. She has a stuffy nose, coughing, runny eyes etc. She sees her doctor Wed and they told me to just keep my eye on her and make sure she can breath! I cant wait to see how much she weighs!
Sorry it took me so long to write you back and sorry I am so scatter brained...I have been so busy with the baby and work I just dont have time for myself these days! Not to mention she's not sleeping good at all. She wakes up every 3 hours to eat...or has gas. I think she might be going through a growth spurt??? How much is Lainey eating these days? Madison is still eating between 3 and 4 ozs every feeding...usually every 2 hours but she still spits up pretty bad at times! Poor little thing.
K...sorry but I gotta run!
