I am a mommy to three beautiful, happy children. My husband and I have been together for almost 19 years, married for 11. He is an amazing man, one who I can share anything with. We believe in co-parenting...we share the responsibilities of home and kids 50/50. It works for us.

I love this site...where else can you get so many varied opinions and so much support? If anything, this site has taught me that even with three kids, I am not an expert at parenting. I love all my mommy friends on here too! I have been so blessed to chat with some of you for the last two years; you have made me a much more confident mommy.

Carter and Mommy...

almost one year.

Eight Months Old

Carter baby, you are now eight months old. I loooooove you so much. You are such an easy-going baby. Very rarely do you get upset, only if you are sick or very, very tired. You smile almost constantly and laugh with ease. You got your very first tooth on Monday, February 23rd; it's barely peeking though but I can feel it and you have been putting your finger in your mouth constantly. Crawling isn't your thing...rolling is. You know exactly where you are going and figure out how to get your body into the tiniest of locations. I have not found a food that you won't eat. You love it all. You are very excited to eat too. Very impatient once you see the kids sitting at the dinner table...you know yours is coming too. You are still breastfed and now have a "drinking game." You pull off and give a little grunt, proceeded by the biggest smile. You do this many times during your 5 minute nursing sessions. Little man, I love you with my whole heart and I get giddy just thinking about you.

Happy 4 month birthday Carter!

I can't believe he is already four months old. What a happy little baby we have! The first couple of months were really difficult; he had to be held constantly or would cry. I thought, oh no, what have we gotten ourselves into, but now he is the sweetest thing. He actually woke up in the middle of the night two nights ago growling and giggling to himself. As soon as I said hi, he looked up at me and gave me the biggest smile. Being a mom to three has its difficulties...logistically getting around town is much harder, getting all of them ready for bed at night is a little crazy, but these little ones are the most amazing kids. I truly feel that I have a purpose in life because of them.

In Just a Few Short Days...

Carter will be three months old. I can't believe how incredibly fast time is going. I feel like I am living in a blur...like I am not able to capture or even remember all the little milestones. I don't regret for one second having another baby; I just wish time could stand still for a moment so I could take a breath and truly appreciate all my little miracles.

A Family of Five

Carter will be 10 weeks tomorrow; time has flown by quickly. He has fit in so well with our family. We are now five including my husband and myself. I was really worried how difficult it would be going from 2 to 3 kids. So far, it hasn't been bad at all. His big sister and brother are loving him to pieces. I have to peel them away sometimes. The only thing we really have had any difficulty with is trying to find a car that seats three kids in carseats. I think we are going to stop at three kids, so I am holding Carter closer, kissing him as often as I can, and trying to remember everything little babies do because I won't experience any of these "firsts" again. Sniff. Sniff.

Update on Carter

Well, I am 33 weeks today! I have been on this site almost everyday for the last couple of months. I love reading everyone's comments and experiences...they totally make you feel like you are not alone. This is the perfect venue to complain and express your feelings about pregnancy without witnessing the eye-rolls from friends and family.

I am a mommy to two beautiful little ones. I am married to my high school sweetheart...we have been together for almost 17 years - married for nearly nine years. He is an amazing daddy and extremely wonderful husband and partner.

We are expecting our third baby and couldn't be more excited. I can't wait for him to be born and hold that sweet, soft, little body in my arms.
