My profile

Well, I am 33 weeks today! I have been on this site almost everyday for the last couple of months. I love reading everyone's comments and experiences...they totally make you feel like you are not alone. This is the perfect venue to complain and express your feelings about pregnancy without witnessing the eye-rolls from friends and family.

I am a mommy to two beautiful little ones. I am married to my high school sweetheart...we have been together for almost 17 years - married for nearly nine years. He is an amazing daddy and extremely wonderful husband and partner.

We are expecting our third baby and couldn't be more excited. I can't wait for him to be born and hold that sweet, soft, little body in my arms.

oh yes, about becoming human pacifier - this is how I feel:) When he cries - the only thing to calm him down is to give breast. No calming touches, no songs or sothing speach, no rocking - nothing work. SO I got caught up in this cluster feeding patern when i stuck in our room with baby at my breast and cannot go anywhere until he is calm. HOpe it will pass and he strats to react on voices and faces. I am so tired of being all nipples for him:)

William Ji-Whun was born on June 29th, 2008! I posted some pictures on our page. Thank you for being there for me during the last 9 months. I don't know what I would have done without the support of the ladies on this site!

Well my daughter hasn't had a chance to try because she's gone with her biological dad for a couple weeks but it looks like she won't have any problem. Right now I've got the rear-facing seat in the middle and the other two on the sides but I will prob move the booster to the middle so it won't be hard to get the baby's carrier in and out. I hope it work out. What kind of car do you have? Mine is a Chevy Trailblazer so I can see it being hard to fit them all in a small car...

mommy@21 - Thursday, 12 June

The three carseats that I have crammed into my back seat are a Graco Turbobooster, an Evenflo rear-facing seat, and a Cosco front-facing seat. I don't know what the exact names of all of them are but I can give u model #s if u want. None of them are new... All bought in 2003-2005. Hope this helps!!!

I think only you know what is right for you and your daughter in this case. Trust your instincts (and don't forget your own needs). Maybe it's her destiny to become a midwife or doctor, who knows. Or maybe you need the relaxation and privacy. Good luck with your decision, either way I'm sure your daughter will be fine.

I know there is a big difference between 10 and 5, but I was 10 when I watched my mom give birth in the hospital, and it was a great experience for me. It made me realize how strong my mother was, and it didn't scar me for life or anything like that lol. It's completly up to you though, make a judgement call based on your daughter not on her age and go from there. she doesn't necessarily have to get the birds eye view either, she can just be in there with you giving you support. Good luck with whatever you choose, and congrats on your baby

I know what you mean with the drool! It's been bad the last month. I wake up every night with a big puddle of drool on my pillow. Pretty gross..lol

You know I have a very intelligent 5 year old as well. She watches the birthing stories. Her favorite show is Bones, how weird. If there could be more than 3 in the room than I would have let her watch. I had my husband and both of our mothers. I would just say that there needs to be someone else in the room with her besides your husband. He will be focused on you and someone else needs to be there if she gets scared. My births are so easy that I talk right through everything, well except for pushing I guess you kind of have to hold your breath for that. Anyways it is a decision you and your husband should decide. I wouldn't worry about what others think. Oh yeah ask your doctor they may not let little ones in. Good Luck

Just tell her that anyone under the age of 21 is not allowed in the room until after the baby is born--it will work

You would have to have high blood pressure with protein in your urine for pre-eclempsia. If I were worried, I would pop in to the doc's and pee on the glucose/protein test stick (I have to do them every appt. and in my Doc's they just leave them in the washroom) and go get your BP checked at the drug store. Might as well be sure. But at this late in preg's you should be ok...

Hi there - I commented on your toaster story last week and had to share something that just happened to me today! Our first car payment is due on our new car next week and the other night my hubby was asking me if we'd gotten anything in the mail for it. I told him no, and he was like 'are you SURE you didn’t throw anything away?' - right like I'd throw something out like that!!! So anyway, he's all pissed off calling the dealership making sure they filed the paperwork w/ the bank and all this. So last night the finance guy told him to call the bank b/c they'd filed everything and we should have received something by now. Course by the time he calls the bank it's closed - go figure. He was planning on going to the bank today on lunch but I told him he oughta call the customer service number to make sure we could make a payment @ the local branch. So this am he calls me on his break this am and was telling me that he talked to a customer service lady who told him they'd sent out a payment book and she was surprised we hadn't received it. As soon as I heard the words 'payment book' I went 'uhoh…' he was like 'what?' Yeah so turns out we received that payment book like a month ago, and it's at home in the office - whoops! He was so mad at me - LOL! He's fine now and thankfully just laughed it off saying I had the worse case of pregnancy brain EVER!!!!!

LOL...I thought I was the only one who had such wonderful bathtime experiences. I know it's not funny but it is so nice to know I'm not alone. My husband is in Iraq and it has been a long 3 months still 3 months to go. He is due home right before the baby is due, I can't wait...

Oh my goodness! I can't do half of what I could do with the other two pregnancies. I have a 3yr & one that is getting ready to turn 2 i have my hands full. I just got my 3yr potty trained:o)

christelle - Friday, 16 May
Thanks for your advice on week 35 about being prepared for the water breaking. I was just planning to put something on my bed to protect my mattress. Didn't even think about having a towel in the car and/or wearing a pad (which would be good for either water breaking or bloody show I guess). Great advice!

junebb08 - Thursday, 15 May
My gosh - your a riot - seriously!! On a positive note, at least you wont have a house fire w/ the toaster in the fridge!! :P

peanutontheway - Thursday, 15 May
LOL! I am having unbelievable forgetfullness too. Yesterday I opened up the pantry door b/c I was gonna get the milk out. It took me a second before I realized it would not be in there! I also keep forgetting words. I will be talking and my brain just goes completely blank. So then I have to get the person I am talking to to come up with the word for me. It's very frustrating sometimes

Rachel918 - Wednesday, 14 May
Thanks! My husband got them out of the wall and put them in the cage.. They were soo freakin cute!!! No animal league would take them for some reason, they said they have soo many animals coming in right now that they have no room. So my husbands friend and his wife took them, she went to vet school and loves doing stuff like that so she bought all this stuff so she can be their mommy until their big enough to go out on their own, They were aboot 6 weeks old and tiny maybe 3 inches long. So Im glad they no longer live with us:)
