I do have a bit of luck on my side, but I'm sad because we got everything from his side of the family they think I don't need a baby shower, so I don't get one. I guess its just hormones but that really bums me out.

hi soexcited this is my second and on my son ryan i got big at the very begin i found out i had diabetes when i was 6 months gone on him and it was so hard 4 me to deal with but i did. after 13 hours of being in labour they told me they had to do a c section but i didnt care i just wanted him to be ok and he was thank god so all i can say is dont b worryin about it cos its all worth it in the end. o and congrats

I'm supersticious, so all i have bought are a few lil outfits. we have all the necessities from the baby's cousins, so its not like we don't have a nursery. I am going to buy diapers and wipes tomorrow though...lol...I know i'm a little odd

hi hunni im 15 weeks on sunday and i too am diabetic i have also been having to up my insulin regularly and pricking my fingers 4 times a day is becoming a nightmare hurts so much i inject 5 times a day now, im not sure about the c-sections im sure they wont let you go pass 40 weeks though, i have asked for a c-section with this one but only due to complications i had with my first 6 tears ago i see the diabetic doc every 2 weeks and have monthly scans to check the babys growth , good luck hunni

Finally had the ultrasound the baby is growing well. Per the tech the anatomy looked great. The tech is pretty sure it is a girl. It was great to hear the baby was doing well. They are still adjusting my insulin.

Congrats!! we are holding out until lil porkchop is born to find out what it is. so everything is green, yellow, white and orange. only 11 weeks and 3 days left before my due date! Can't wait!

The picture was done at 19 weeks. The picture was done at the hospital when they sexed the baby. During the whole ultrasound they had it on a regular ultrasound and at the last minute they switched really quickly to 3D-4D. They snapped 2 quick shots and it was done. I had no idea they even had that there. I wish I saw more. The pictures also did not show up as well as I liked them to. I have another ultrasound when I am 30 weeks so I think I might ask if I can see him 3D-4D more closer. Glad everything went well with your appointment and who knows you might just gain weight in the next couple of weeks.

don't worry, the further you get the more you'll see the doc.
and remember one more good diabetes thing, you'll prolly see your little one before most people on your week! not much chance in going late!

Once you see the baby everything will be fine. In fact up until last week I also never gained a pound. But at my 19 week ultrasound he weigted 12oz which was big. Now I am 25 weeks and I have gained 5 pounds. Just wait your time will come with the weight gain. Good luck.

not a problem, I'm at the endo every week now...then the ob/gyn every 2 and apparently I'm supposed to have many scans too...oy...diabetes isn't fun, but we have to live with it and if you think about it our children will never be scared of needles because mommy takes em all the time!
