A Bit About Me, and the the rest of my Family.........

Antony and I have been married for 16 years this year! We left it a while before starting our family so I was 28 when our first daughter Bethan was born on 24th October 1999. By some strange coincidence our second daughter Kate was also born in October - four years later on 14th October 2003 when I was 32.

It was very difficult to decide whether or not to have a 3rd baby, but somehow our family didn't seem complete with the two girls, so this year we thought we would give it a go. As I am now 36 we thought age would be against us, but unbelievably I fell pregnant straight away and guess what ...... our 3rd baby is also due in October! This time about 08th October.

I'm not sure if there are any other mum's out there with 3 children all having birthdays in the same month - I am sure it isn't a record or anything - but October is already a busy month with two birthdays to organise, so it will be interesting to see how things work out with 3 birthdays to fit in to one month!

Bethan and Kate are very excited about the prospect of having a new baby in the house and being 'big sisters'. I am going to try very hard to enjoy every minute of it this time as I am pretty sure this will be the final addition to our family!

UPDATE: 23rd April 2008, (16 weeks) My pregnancy seems to be progressing well, if the size of my waist line is anything to go by! I have somewhat belatedly discovered that there is a blog facility on this site, so I have moved my pregnancy diary there....a much better place for it as it probably isn't all that exciting for anyone else to read!

Thank you to everyone for visiting my page, and thanks especially to everyone that writes me a little message! I don't always get a lot of time on the computer, but I always write back (eventually!) :-) Best wishes to everyone Valerie x

Yes that is what happened to me, I typed a long message to you in response to an old comment, and added in the sex of the baby and it said it posted it, yet it was not there, and I re wrote it once more to havei t do the same thing. I gave up real quick lol

Yes I am excited to have a girl, I have gotten lots of pink stuff and little socks, just figuring out bedding and crib for nursery. We are going to do tinker bell theme and put up those wall stickers nad boarders of tinker bell. Yeah, time has certainly gone by fast since I last talked to you. I am now 26 weeks and obviously they are not flutters that I feel now haven't been for a while. She is laying side ways so my poor hips are killing me.

Oh yes you don't have very long to go ooo that is soo exciting=) I can understand why your doing last minute things too!! I would be doing lots of house work near the end of my pregnancy that way house is nice and clean for a bit=)

I have been good though, what about you? feeling big and uncomfortable I am sure. I know I do.

Hey I tried to message you awhile ago, but it kept saying it was posting my message, but yet nothing showed up.
So what is new with me well I found out the sex of my baby on August 12th, and it is a baby girl=) so bring on the pinks lol.
September came and I am starting my attempt at potty training, earlier in the summer I TRIED it but realized they were a little too young still, and did not mind sitting in wet pants, but now they absolutely hate it. Jake started pooping in his pants the other day and we asked if he wanted to go potty and he ran to the bathroom day saying yes, and we put him on and he finished it in the toilet=). Also, they cry everytime we go to take them off the toilet so I guess that is a good sign. What about you? what is new?

Welcome back from your vacation!

Hope it gave you a nice chance to unwind before B-day as it were!

Hope your big baby is slowing down in growth as well :)

Jeff and I are slowly settling into a routine here in the big apple, but the homesickness is much present. I realized what it is the other day -- aside from missing the people we love, Americans know NOTHING about us. As Canadians we grow up with their tv, food, culture along with our own -- side by side. We know both. They only know to say things like "must be cold" and "do you use the euro in Canada" (honest to God that was asked of us by one of Jeff's co-workers)

So sometimes you just want to cuff them in the head even though they mean well! My visit with brother-in-law's sis went well though and it was good to be social with someone.

We started birthing courses and they are pretty interesting. At the very least they are sort of helping bring Jeff into the picture. It's started to dawn on him this is real.

Glad to hear that even if your baby is big, it's facing a position that is beneficial to you.

Hope you are well and welcome back :)

Hello! How was your holiday? Hope you had a great time. Where did you go?
So you're measuring 2 wks ahead, huh? I wonder if you'll go a bit early! My dr would never change my due dates, but I measured a bit ahead during my pregnancy, and sure enough Maisie came 2 wks early... so you never know! I think that's great if you've only gained about 24 lbs at this stage in pregnancy... I gained a total of 42 I believe, and I finally seem to have taken it all off. But it has not been easy! If I have another, I will definitely be watching my weight gain a bit more carefully. Although I kind of think there's only so much you can do about it... I swear a certain amount of it is out of our control! I hope you are feeling well otherwise.
I am doing ok back at work. I have to admit, I'm doing better with it than I thought I would. I think it helps that she's still at home, and not in daycare yet. If she gets up early to feed, I've been staying up, going to work early, and coming home early. It really helps, because Maisie often sleeps until 9 am, and I'm often home between 3:30 and 4 pm. I still miss her to pieces, though, and usually hold her from the time I get home until she goes to bed! Work will also pick up for me over the next few months, so I anticipate things could get more stressful for me. I'll just worry about it when I have to, I guess!
I sent a msg to my friends network, so this'll be duplicate, but I have to brag because Maisie rolled over this evening! I was soooo excited! She was grunting and working so hard, and she finally did it! I just cheered and cheered. I am such a proud mama today. :)
I do hope you continue to feel well with the pregnancy. Please keep me posted! :)

Hello, friends, I just thought I'd take advantage of my mama-bragging-rights... Maisie rolled over for the first time this evening! I'm so proud of her. She was working so hard at it, and her hard work finally paid off. I cheered and cheered for her... you would've thought she just hit the winning run in the World Series! :) Hope you all are well...

Hi, there:

I hope you had a great holiday weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

I am fine. Still enjoying my husband and busy all the more. I was just informed that this construction project will over soon enough...perhaps in a couple of weeks or less, so I am ready to move onto my next big adventure.

Also, looked at my new potential design studio....LOVE IT!

We will see how this goes....

Also, held the baby of one of my clients this weekend. A son...I asked him to give me baby blessiings!

Anyway, I am fine on the idea and know that it will happen soon enough.

Smiles,

Debora :-)

Hi, all:

Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you. I have been so busy getting settled with my husband that I can't even breathe!

Anyway, I hope you all are well rested these days. I desperately miss checking in, but since I am on a small construction project out of the house everyday, I don't have time for myself. In fact, it's been so bad that I actually had to take a day off from here to work from home yesterday to get caught up on pending design projects. Things are moving at lightning speed. And it's just not easy!!!

I can't wait to hear all the buzz for the new babies coming this Fall! Since the Fall is my favorite time of the year, it just makes things all the more wonderful.

Keep your fingers cross, I am hoping for a massive belly soon enough in the coming months. Then I will make myself slow down. This running around is too much at times! On a lighter note, I am seeking a small space to take my business out of the house, so I can be centeral to all my clients. Going to and fro has taken it's toll on me finally. I no longer have any control over my time any longer. I DON'T LIKE IT!!!!

I am enjoying all of the wonderful time with my HUBBY and am so, so happy that he is finally here.

Cooking and cleaning is taking its toll, but I would not trade it for one moment. I love serving my husband. He is such a delight!

Write me soon, I want to hear what's going on!

Smiles and many hugs and kisses,

Debora:-)

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Yes, this was the big weekend and I posted a blog (my first every - I'm so technologically inept!) about it. AND I put my first photo, a bikini, belly pic up from just over a week ago. Whoa, I'm on a roll!

My c-section is scheduled for 9/30 but I'm going to talk to my Dr. about that on Thursday. I scheduled it very close to my due date (3 days) and I'm a little concerned about going into labor and forcing a more emergency situation. I definitely do NOT want that.

I can't believe you are measuring 2 weeks ahead. You can probably bet on another big baby unless you go early. What happened with your girls - did they come early, on time, or late?

You must be getting excited about your pending vacation. Hope you are all packed! Have a marvelous time and I'll look forward to hearing ALL about it!!!

That is a really beautiful quote, I have been reading it on and off and it certainly does help so much. Thank you

mummydawni - Friday, 22 August
Where you off for your hols? Somewhere nice and relaxing I hope? Well next Friday I am finished woohooo but been off since Wednesday as spent 5 hours up hospital on Tuesday with a tiny bleed but enough to panic me. Hospital gave us the all clear but the hysterical thing was I needed an internal and the light was broken so midwife had to hold a torch for the docot to get a look, Neil was trying not to laugh at the whole scene!

On a sad note, hospital rung and said I have a group B strep infection, unfortunately the lady didn't speak very good english but I managed to understand that if I have any fluid leak I have to go to hospital immediately and will need antibiotics during labour to ensure no transfer to the baby. SO of course I googled it and made myself cry reading what I found, not a good idea! Will speak with my own midwife on the 1st and find out the situation.

I measure two weeks bigger from about 18 weeks onwards which MW says isn't a problem, they allow up to 4 weeks difference then they will investigate so I am alright lol. I think we may have had a somersault as my bump feels different! I was in a lot of pain y'day afternoon and my belly button is practically an outy now so we shall see, fingers crossed!!!

Have a fab holiday and a good well earned rest xx

irishbaby1 - Thursday, 21 August
thanks so much for your message, it is really comforting to have such kind wishes and thoughts from people. It is so difficult but I am going to try to stay positive. DH and I have decided we are going to plant something in out garden just a s mall reminder that this little one has moved on but will always be with us in our hearts. Take care.
