Nia is 19 weeks old!!!! Getting to be such a big girl!

Hi Ladies!!! It's been a minute but here is Nia @ 3 months doing her thing allowing mommy to get things done around the house!

Nia @ 2 months!! She is my heart! Ms. Nia is very advanced and I'm not just saying that because she is my baby. I have be honest! Nia has been holding her head up and turning it from the first 24 hours of being born. At 6 weeks she began taking steps with me just barely holding her under her arms. Now as of today - 9 weeks old - she is turning herself over from back to stomach and stomach to her side. The kicker is after she rolls over to her stomache she starts scooting (almost crawling)!!! I had to pick her up to slow her up. She is my miracle child and loves to chat - she has skipped the cooing stage!!!!!! I have axed the old myth of her getting out of the way for the next baby because after Nia there is no more babies!!! LOL! Take care and I TTY Ladies later!

Hello ladies... I just wanted to let you know that Motherhood is awesome and I am having a great time embracing the new life that I have been blessed with. Welcome to my page!! I'm so happy I found this website and I am very excited to chat with other moms to be and those that are TTC. Well let me start by saying I have been married for 5 yrs to my dude, my buddy, my best friend and the love of my life. We tried in the beginning to get pregnant and to no avail, it didn't happen!!! So after 2 years of trying we both just chalked it up to - IT WILL HAPPEN IN GOD'S PERFECT TIMING!

Well let's see where do I start with sharing this journey with you. I had just returned from Miami from celebrating my pre-birthday weekend with my best friend and family on 7/29/07 and on 7/30/07- God blessed me to see my 34th birthday. I was home alone trying to recuperate from my get away and thought to myself - I have not seen my monthly girlfriend who should have came by now and dropped her baggage off for her usual visit. WELL - ALL I CAN SAY IS GOD HAD A PLAN AND HIS PERFECT TIMING IS JUST THAT - PERFECT! That afternoon, something told me to take a pregnancy test (still had no thoughts I could be pregnant with my history of endometriosis). I got the best BIRTHDAY GIFT I could have ever gotten or ever had:

After the shock was over of these test results- God reminded me that I asked Him for 5 years to get to know my husband before we were allowed to bring a life into this world - 2 weeks after finding out my prayer had been answered ... My 5th year anniversary came around! When I say God has a plan and it is always PERFECT -IT IS JUST THAT - PERFECT! GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYERS! (*_*)

9/9 - Just finished enjoying dinner with my mom and best friend! This was one of my good days Morning Sickness let me out the house to enjoy company of others without pewking on them!!! (*_*)

10/16 - I had to have a sonogram to check to be sure all was well with my little bun bun due to being dehydrated prior to the sonogram. All was well!!! The sonotechnician looked to see if it was a boy or girl but I was only 16 weeks at the time and she was not sure but said if she had to BET -she didn't see any boy parts - SO until 11/8 - We won't know for sure if its a GIRL OR BOY - BUT EITHER WAY WE ARE HAPPY BUN BUN IS DOING WELL!! (*_*)

11/1 - I am beginning to feel my bun bun move around alot... It is amazing to me that God picked someone like me to carry something so precious!!!! (*_*)! God is Awesome!

11/2 - Today i'm feeling a little sluggish - my nights are just that - nights - no rest - I watch the clock and listen to my husband sleeping sound (grrrrr!)! I can't for the life of me get comfortable!!! BLAH! I'm hungry more often now but with the morning sickness not completely gone - it's still kinda hard to eat and enjoy without worrying if I will stay down :-(! But nonetheless - I'm blessed!

11/8 - TODAY WAS THE DAY - The Dr. was able to catch several pictures of the baby (although the baby was moving around alot - which the Dr. was happy to see) and the finding of what we are having are:

I am happy to be having a healthy baby - my husband really wanted a boy and at one time I thought I wanted a boy as well but was telling God that I would be happy whatever He felt fit for me to have because the baby being healthy is my main concern! GOD IS GOOD! How about that - A GIRL!!! I'm excited!

11/13 - I just got back from taking a trip and I am paying for it dearly! I am having pressure and stretching pains out of this world! I have the heating pad working over time for 30 min. at a time! Little Ms. Nia is moving around more and more and her kicks are getting a little more intense on mommy! But I love every minute of her moving, it gives me a sense of security that she is doing fine. I am due for the sonogram to check the baby size and for abnormalities - I DECLINED AGAIN! Those test are a set up to me - I mean really - if it came back one way or another - I'm having my baby and I do not plan to stress out off of WHATIF's the rest of my pregnancy! SO we are moving forward with TRUSTING IN THE LORD!!! (*_*) as we have thus far and EVERYTHING looks great each sonogram we have taken!

Heartburn is the ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRR!

11/15 - Well as of today I am feeling better from the weekend travel!!! Thank God! We have a new found favorite food this week- OREO'S and SUNKIST ORANGE SODA (I never liked soda before preggers)!!! They are sooooo good, not to mention it puts Nia in overdrive. I enjoy the kicking and moving when she gets those favorites she wants! NOW this is all great to me because up until this past weekend - I was not able to eat anything SWEET AT ALL!!! Now I am starting on the sweet tip and want a Pepperidge Farm Fudge Cake and Butter Pecan Ice Cream!!! Hummmm, I will have daddy stop on his way in from work to get that for Nia (Yep Nia is the excuse for all store runs at any given time of the day or night!) LOL!!

11/18 - Nia and I have really been enjoying the fudge cake and ice cream - ummm so good! I'm doing pretty well today - not many complaints other than I am fighting a cold or sinus issues - one or the other but nonetheless - I'm blessed and doing well! (*_*)! Hope all the rest of the expecting mothers and TTC are blessed as well!

11/20 - Well today I am 21 weeks! Whoo oHooo! I am fighting a cold still and it is driving me babana's!!! I hope it is coming to a end especially with Thanksgiving coming - I want to be able to taste my food! Otherwise - I'm doing pretty good! My back and hips are flaring up in pain again but hey it's apart of what comes with the territory! Either way - I won't complain - I'll just bask in it!!! (*_*)!

11/25 - I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving and an awesome time with family and giving thanks for one another!!!! I had a good quiet holiday weekend!!! Nothing really to complain about but THANK THE LORD THIS COLD IS GONE!!! I have a little congestion going on still but nothing like it was!!! (*_*)!

12/3 - Well how is everyone doing? Me, I'm better now that I know that the cold is gone and my new finding is that I am going through the sinus/stuffy nose thing - which I have found that the HUMIDIFIER is a life saver!! So ladies if you are having issues with your nasal passages being stuffy - please invest in a humidifier if you don't have one already! Now on to other things - I am in SHOCKERVILLE - I have gained more weight and I'm in awe as to how - YEAH RIGHT - I know how - LOL!!! Cookies and ice cream, Chocolate donuts and hot chocolate to name a few... LOL!!! All in all - I'm happy I am not sick anymore and able to enjoy the foods Nia is asking for! HA!!! It's all her fault in a good way! Be Blessed Ladies!

12/5 - The funniest thing today has happened!!! I just finished having my daily cup of hot chocolate and was sitting back letting Nia bounce around as she does after she has a surge from the sugar/chocolate. All of a sudden, I watched my stomach jump 12 -13 times and started laughing because I realized that Nia had her first hiccups!!! It is amazing!!! How cute! (*_*)!

12/7 - I had a Dr. visit today that went well, I'd say! Being that I left my old Dr. (who is an hour away verses this one that is 7 min. away) I was able to coax this Dr. into writing me a script for a sonogram!!!! He asked did I know what I was having and I told him well - The first sonogram I had at 16 weeks - they were saying "If they had to guess - it was a girl"! The second one I had at 19 weeks - the Dr. did and said that the middle part looked to small to be a wee wee - so he said if he had to "guess" it was a girl!!! SO with that - I will for sure know next week what I will be having - I hope! As of right now - I'm still saying "GIRL" - NIA GISELE!! and looking foward to her coming on April 1 - Okay not really - I don't want an April Fools Baby for jokes purposes anyway - BUT if GOD says April 1 - April 1 it is!!!! My husband said maybe she will April Fool Us and be a BOY - He reaching- I feel this is a girl - she is picky just like me and moody already!LOL! We will see! I'll let you all know the true findings next week!! Until then Be Blessed!

12/10 - Great news - I was able to get a sonogram scheduled for today @ 5pm - So I'm really excited to find out if I'm carrying a girl for sure - STAY TUNED! (*_*)!!

12/17 - Hi ladies! Just thought I would just drop a few lines to say - Nia and I are doing well. I must say ladies, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't believe everything you read on the internet regarding your baby and health and so forth!!! It will cause you more heartache than needed!!! I just had an experience that I was digging knee deep into the internet researching and finding myself in a tizzy until I was reminded who my faith lies in! Whew... What a relief to know who I can trust under all circumstances and situations in my life! I said all of that to say - Trust in God that all is well with your little one and that they are in perfect health! Speak positive, encouragement, life, and perfect health over your child and rest in God that it will be well! Peace and Blessings!!!

12/23- 12/28

Happy Holidays to Everyone!! I went away for the Christmas Holiday's to be with family and I had a blast. I ate so much food and not to mention the sweets - OH MY GOODNESS - Red Velvet cake, sweet potatoe pie, and coconut pie were Nia's favorite all times of the night. So between eating good- I slept good! LOL! Nia got so many cloths for Christmas - I can only imagine what it will be like when she gets here. I am already loved dearly by all my untes and uncles that this little girl is going to be hard to not let everyone make her rotten! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and pray that you have a great New Year!

12/30- Well today has been a rough one!!! I feel so huge and round. I can't move around easily and sleeping is the worst at night. I tell you one thing subsides and then another comes along!

1/5 - Today was a good day!! I got a ton of thing accomplished! I had a sonogram done that was wonderful. I was able to get all my registries done for the babyshower!! Thanks to my best friend who kept pushing me!! Lately though I am feeling overwhelmed. There is so much out there to choose from and it is getting the best of me because I want the best for Nia. OH WELL... I will have to live and learn as time goes on! Physically, I'm feeling pretty good, backache, ankles swelling (hamhock look), and sleepless nights are all apart of it! OH, the Braxton Hicks are really kicking in - GGGGGGRRRRRRR!

1/22 - Well ladies I hope everyone is feeling great and thus far is having a great pregnancy! I am hanging in there and counting down the weeks! My Bestfriend and I have been working on Operation Nia Nusery and thus far it is rolling. Still kind of moving like pond water in getting it done in my mind. These days I noticed that my body is changing and I am not able to get around like I used to or nor can I hang as long as I like or used to but it's a part of the pregnancy! I just pray daily for strength! Ladies until the next time- Be blessed!

2/13 - Hello to all the preggers and TTC!! It's been a while since I last updated. I have just been trying to get my arms around this pregnancy thing and preparing for Nia's arrival in everyway possible. I am nearing the end and can see the light at the end of the tunnel approaching fast. Let's see where do I start- I have no complaints - althought I want to but no need. Nia is growing and her space is becoming crowded and I can really feel every move she makes. She has fallen into a pattern of sleep and awake time. 2/21 - It's been a while since I updated my page like I'm supposed to but things are getting a little hectic around here for me. I have a few speed bumps I'm dealing with in the road right now but TO GOD BE THE GLORY, I will take my time and go over them as if I am driving a scenic route through a beautiful park! Anywho, Nia is doing great, getting big and running out of space, she is head down and kicking me where ever her little feet give room for her to do so! It often takes my breath away sometimes but it brings me joy at the same time to know she is doing her thing in her space - yes it's her space, because nothing is mine right now on my body or at least it doesn't look like it belongs to me, I didn't know pregnancy takes you out of who you are all together - it is a selfless act of God showing us how to be unselfish under all circumstances unconditionally! I love her and I am counting the days to see her beautiful face. Take care ladies and be blessed!

3/3 - Well were do I start??? This weekend was a busy one for starters but nonetheless it was SO well worth it. I had a house full of guest and I enjoyed every minute of it- not that I can say the same about Nia, everyone was touching her and talking all loud into my stomach and she would move from wherever they were speaking into her. She even kicked once at someone... LOL! This is my child all the way with my temperament! LOL! Anyway on to more exciting things that took place over the weekend. My mom is here - which I am totally happy about, my mother-in-law came, which I was so happy to see her and spend time with her. My sister's and niece came, they were a wonderful help to me in finishing up the nursery. I just love my family and they obviously love me to come from so far away to be with me as we had my BABYSHOWER THIS WEEKEND!!! WHOO HOOO! It was a beautiful event, the decor was awesome, the people were having a great time, including the men, and the food was plentiful (it was so good that it had me twitting my toes (as I unconsciously do when something is good to me...) The cake was beautiful and light, must have had whipping cream for icing! It was so nice and such a blessed occasion and I have to give the props to MY BESTFRIEND - CYNTHIA for doing such a great job with it all - her words to me were "TRUST ME, I GOT THIS, YOU JUST CHILL OUT AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT A BABYSHOWER" SO I did just that, and MAN I was totally blown away by her imagination to get every nook and cranny of it all!! Thanks also to my mother-in-law for the good food and her pitching in, and my girlfriend Pamela - who keeps it hype. I will post pics later.
