So here is a bit about me... I am currently 21 years old and in college to get a second diploma. I have graduated from the early childhood education course and am currently taking the child and youth worker course, which will be completed long before the baby is due. I got married August 18th 2007. We both are excited that i am pregnant!

June 10th- BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! Hcg level is 16. need to do another blood test in 48 hours
June 12th- Hcg levels are at 69 now! YAY!!!!!
July 10th- had my first prenatal appointment. got weighed, filled out paperwork. she didnt even examine me.. is that normal? anways i have an ultrasound july 30th to check for downs and spina bifida. can't wait to see my peanut!!
Symptoms so far: Heartburn, more frequent urination, mood swings, bloated feeling, tender breasts, constipation, waves of nausea
Cravings:, potatoes, crackers, veggies and dip

Thanks so much for your reply on the trying to conceive page. I'm going back to the Doctor's Monday to get more blood drawn. I also took a HPT today to compare to Wednesdays and the second line was much darker....hoping that's a sign of my levels rising!!!

I've had every symptom that you can think of other than fatigue. Today is the first day that I actually haven't felt that bad as far as the m/s goes. But tomorrow is a new day and it will probably kick my butt then. Tonight is the 2nd time I'm cooking since I found out I was preggo at 3 1/2 wks. My hubby said to me this morning "Auna I just would really like for you to cook" so he picks spaghetti. I'm going to try and eat a little b/c I don't want to throw that back up--yuck!

Re: u/s- when I lived in the state of Indiana I got one u/s at 20 wks for gender and overall growth...I currently live in the state of Virginia and I get 2 u/s- one at 8 wks for dating and then one between 18-22 wks for gender and overall growth. Unless something was wrong I am only going to get 2. I think each area is different as well as each dtr! My first dtr made it a policy not to tell people what the gender was so he wouldn't get sued if they were wrong.. take care!

I have had them between 12-18 weeks all depends on ur Dr. As for the sex statement i am having simular problems. I found out june 14 on our anniversary we planned the baby and has hardly touched me since then. I feel like i have the plauge! he is usualy very loving..grrr MEN!! Am i over reacting..it making me feel so unloved at the moment.

i read your post about getting an ultrasound and how early. 18 weeks is not the norm. i have never heard of anyone waiting till week 18. here in ontario you are given the option of getting the tripple scan, which is two sets of blood work and a ultrasound at 13 weeks. most doctors give ultrasounds no later than week 12...sometimes you will get a dating ultrasound (i got my first at6 weeks 1 day)....but ya 18 weeks is defiantly not the norm. and you WILL be able to see a lot...at 6 weeks the baby just looked like a little shirmp but i seen the heart beating and that was the best thing ever. ask your doctor for one while you wait to see your OB. good luck.

hey Im from Ontario Canada too and i read your post about when you will get your ultrasound...they didn't give me one till 18 weeks, but it turned out to be a good thing becasue any earlier and they woudln't have been able to see much..and you won't be able to see much on the screen either. I know its a very exciting and anxious thing, but the longer you wait the better you will see your little one. I had to go back at 20 weeks and go for another ultrasound becasue 18 weeks was even to early...and at my second ultrasound they were able to tell me the sex. but I know everyone is different.
