UPDATE: 7/09/08-- We had another sonogram today! the 20 week one. We took the eldest with us, our boy was visiting friends out of town. For almost 1 hour, we got to see our new little one and all of HIS parts. she even gave us two 3d/4d pictures, which we didn't even expect. all and all we got another 11 pictures! It was great to see his little hands and fingers, his legs and toes, and his privates. We will have another scan on 8/14 because he wouldn't turn over so we could really see his heart chambers. The doctor said there was nothing to worry about, they saw everything and everything is normal. She said we could have the scan if we wanted or not.

UPDATE: 6/26/08---This is our sonogram day! We loaded up the kids, 20 year old daughter, 15 year old son and headed to the doctors office to find out the sex of this baby. We were all so happy and excited. With everyone surrounding me, the tech covered me in gel and started the scan. Within the first 2 minutes, we were sure that we are adding a boy to the mix, but as we went on, for the next 15 minutes, the little bugger covered its parts, so we didn't get a real clear picture. Oh, how frustrating. the tech jiggled and tossed this baby around, it stretched out and turned over, but kept its hand over its parts and hide. So, we have the 20 week scan scheduled on 7/9/08 and hopefully my prize will be legs open wide. Unfortunetly, my son won't be there, he is going to visit a friend out of state, but my daughter will be there, she wouldn't miss it.

UPDATE: 6/5/08---Well we are over 14 weeks along and I am feeling movement. The m/s has mostly gone, it just rears its ugly head once in a while. We had the 1st trimester screening done on May 27, and it was stressful; but great to see our love child actually inside me. It was moving and turning and sucking its thumb or hand. We got some pretty good pictures and the doctor was very friendly. The sonogram tech was a doorknob. She didn't have any personality whatsoever. but we made it through. We recieved the final results the other day and our chance of D/S is 1:1500 and the others stuff is 1:3000, so we are feeling pretty good.

We have our next appointment at the end of June, meanwhile, I am getting a fetal doppler to enjoy the heartbeat at home and am really going to enjoy all of the movement I am feeling. I am also going to relax and take it easy this summer.

My husband is the best. He is really taking care of me and will not let me lift a finger. While this is nice, it is a little annoying. but he means well and I decided to enjoy it rather than fight it. Can't beat them join them?!

UPDATE: 5/4/08---I can't believe that it has been 5 weeks since I found out that we are having another baby. Things have been great, other than all of the all day sickness, but at least that is lessening a whole lot now. I feel pretty good, other than the bloating and mood swings. My husband is having all of the same symptoms, but he is eating way more than I am and he is way moodier than me. Everyone is still excited and waiting for time to go by. We decided to find out what gender this baby is when the time come, well, actually, I was outvoted. I never found out for the other 2 but all want to know. I think it is easier to know nowadays ahead of time because I have been shopping and you really can't find too much gender neutral items in the store. and I don't want everything either yellow or green.

We are so excited! I just turned 40 and found out on April fools day that we are expecting. This will be my third child, I have a 19 year old and a 15 year old. This will be my husbands first child. He is 40 also. It was quite a surprise but wow what a blessing. We are full of laughter and love in this house.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Thank you for your reply on week 21, great reassurance i only asked as sometimes it feels a little low. I have felt him around my belly button but mostly lower in my pelvic area.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, do you know what you are expecting?

Thank you for encouragement. The calculation said I conceived on October 2nd, but I always believed that it happened on October 5th, since it was my hubby's birthday and we went a bit wild that night:) So if this is true, then my due date should be June 27, not 24th. I think I will just set up my mind on that new due date:) Good luck with everything:)

44 weeks! and did you went into labor on your own? I don't want induction, I am afraid it will be longer and more painful then normal birth. Stupid relatives keep telling me things like "Do you know how dangerous it is to go overdue?" What a thing to tell to a pregnant woman! Well, my due date is still only tomorrow. let's hope for labor soon:)

CONGRATS on your pregnancy! do you know what you're having? We chose not to find out. I will be 40 1/2 when my baby is born. My Mom had me when she was 39 and her last child at 45! Hurray for older Moms!

I found out on June 3rd which was my 18th week. I could have found out at my 15th week but the baby wouldn't cooperate. What do you think you are having? I felt all along it was a girl...but then I thought it would be the opposite. My feelings were right !!!

Hi! I am doing great! My ultrasound isn't until July 6th. I can't wait!!!! How are you doing these days?

I hear ya. I'm thinking that at my 'mature' age getting up in the middle of the night won't be as mentally challenging. Man I remember hating that. But life was a lot different then too. I'm up now at 3:30 because I keep thinking about work. Then I find myself laying there waiting to see if I can feel baby move lol...I think so a few times and it's also like a lil ball of pressure moves about now and then. It's all good.

Hi there. Read your last post in 'advanced age' - damn they make us feel old here lol...I think its fantastic that your hubby was able to feel baby move. We had a m/c last October and are currenly at 13wks with our latest pregnancy. Everything seems very good this time around. I also have a 12 and 13 year old(s) from a previous marriage...but this is hubby's first biological child. At 13wks I might have felt a few little moves but man I am just waiting to feel more. That worry sure creeps up on us fast!

Thanks for the reply. I read that the nuchal testing is more accurate than the triple screen, but we weren't offered this test. I'll definately ask my doctor about it.. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy :-)
