My profile

UPDATE: 5/4/08---I can't believe that it has been 5 weeks since I found out that we are having another baby. Things have been great, other than all of the all day sickness, but at least that is lessening a whole lot now. I feel pretty good, other than the bloating and mood swings. My husband is having all of the same symptoms, but he is eating way more than I am and he is way moodier than me. Everyone is still excited and waiting for time to go by. We decided to find out what gender this baby is when the time come, well, actually, I was outvoted. I never found out for the other 2 but all want to know. I think it is easier to know nowadays ahead of time because I have been shopping and you really can't find too much gender neutral items in the store. and I don't want everything either yellow or green.

We are so excited! I just turned 40 and found out on April fools day that we are expecting. This will be my third child, I have a 19 year old and a 15 year old. This will be my husbands first child. He is 40 also. It was quite a surprise but wow what a blessing. We are full of laughter and love in this house.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Its funny your hubby is having all the pregnancy symptoms...minus the sickness. I hope that ends soon for you. I do not wish that upon anyone. I am very happy to not be pregnant anymore! I hope you are having a good day.

Well congratulations on your pregnancy. That is just fantastic! This is my hubbys first too. He loves being a Daddy though it has had its challenges for sure.
I had a very rough, long and hard pregnancy. The birth was a beautiful experience. Of course not pain free but pretty dang close to it. MT daughter is a little doll. I love her...to pieces...despite beiong such a good looking child. :)

Well "Welcome Back" to pregnancy Momma! Are you excited? Planned baby or shock still fading? I am overjoyed for you!

I left you a message on the AMA page about tests during pregnancy. I hope it helps.

sgray126 - Monday, 5 May
I had that done and was told that no chance of Down Syndrome. Then I had AFP test that stated the baby had a high risk for DS. I then did the Amnio to find out that the baby is fine. The special ultrasound isn't that great of a test. Your best bet is to get the Amnio!

Hi, I am 36 having my 6th baby. The skin fold test often gives false positive results causing great anxiety for the mum. I have opted out of having this done for that reason. I have seen too many people stressed over results that are not accurate.

hello springtime...i just had my screening done on tuesday of last week...they took blood and measure the baby and took my blood pressure. just waiting on my blood results to come back! but i got to see the baby moving all over the place...very active! it took a long time to get the measurments like i said the baby wouldn't keep still.

I know, the ms is ridiculous, I even had to take a few days off work. But you know what....i read a posting on here yesterday from a woman who said the only way around it, for her, was to absolutely eat something every two hours, night and day, well I started doing that vigilantly yesterday evening, and I got up every two hours all night, and I can't tell you how much better I feel today: apple sauce, carrots, rice, crackers and cheese.....im not 100% but this worked better than the diclectin pills did. every two hours! or even 1.5 hours! try it! it's the first day in a week that I have felt close to my normal self, even did a bit of housework!

Goodearth - Thursday, 24 April
yikes. im with you on the ms. I'm almost 8 weeks and I have been sick all day and all night for almost a week.

Thanks for your note! The weird thing for me is that I didn't go full-term in my last pregnancy (lost baby at 18 wks due to infection). My muscles aren't totally stretched out, so I thought it was kinda strange. Oh well...in the shower this morning my DH told me that I'm looking pregnant :P
