Hi all ! This site is great , like myspace for preggers lol. Anyways I am working on my third baby here. I have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My husband and I will have had a child (together believe it or not) in our teens , 20's and now 30's. It's round three and we are so looking forward to it.

Monday, 10 Dec

so I am still stumped for baby girl names that flow well with Skylar and Dylan......suggestions.....
also what do you guys think of Stella , Cheyann , or Ashlyn?

Friday , Jan. 4th

So I feel as if I'm in the full swing of pregnancy now. The heartburn is here , the swollen ankles , and all that weight gain. However my favorite part is here too.....feeling my little girl move around all over the place ! She seems to be shy though. She'll be rockin' and rollin' in there and as soon as I have my hubby or daughter try to feel...she stops ! Everytime ! She is so active and nobody but me seems to be experiencing it. Thats kind of frustrating. I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I won't be having my shower until Feb 10th and we have nothing for my little one. Not one thing. We haven't even started on the nursery yet. Luckily for me my daughter moved out of her old room and we redid a new more grown up room for her so the nursery is already painted pink and green. If I can find coordinating bedding she'll only need closet organizers put in , things on the wall , curtains , a changinf table , and crib as she will be using my daughters old furniture (dressar etc.) Still , I feel an urgency to get started. I'm going to register for the shower this weekend and am really looking forward to doing something "baby". Sometimes I just feel fat and not pregnant because the baby really hasn't been the focus here lately with so much other stuff going on. Guess thats just how it goes when your hubby has a new position/title at work , you have a teenager , and an overly social daughter as well as the college class I was taking and I do housecalls ( I'm a hairstylist) on the side. Anyways , I'm really starting to get excited for my new baby girl to arrive. I have dr app on the 10th and will be going every 2 weeks after that. I'm measuring right on target for my due date and have had 2 unltrasounds that both put me at March 14th. I'm going to be a crazy person and go with my daughter and her Girlscout troop to her 1st weekend camp in Malibu next weekend. It will be so tiring but a special memory for the 2 of us before baby. I've been batteling a cold that has left me even more tired than usual but that will pass. Unfortunately it's just a little more misery/discomfort to deal with. I'm not one of those people who loves being pregnant. I pretty much hate everything about it EXCEPT feeling her move and knowing that I am growing a beautiful child in there ....thats pretty amazing. Well , I felt the need to blog today so there it is. Happy Pregnancies to all..lol

Hubby's name picks :

Carly Rae

Cheyanne (maybe Elizabeth ? What goes w/ this one?)

Let me know what you guys think............

my prego brain just can't nail down a name. It was sooo much easier with the other 2.

So I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe how fast it's going by. Things have been moving along well lately. My husband bought me a glider without me even asking for it or seeing it first. It was so nice to see him take some interest on his own. We have stepped up "date night" knowing time is running out and he's been shopping online for the nursery furniture , which we finally ordered last week. I hope to get it this weekend. We went to Babies R Us together and he helped pick out a stroller and a mattress. I have been so happy about his interest level. Now that it's getting close he's really getting excited and int o it. My son who is 14 had a great experience wit the baby the other day as well. She was moving a lot so I had him touch my belly and she kicked. He thought it was crazy so I said do it again. She wasn't moving so he leaned in and sain "Baby" in a deep voice and she kicked his hand , so then he put both hands on my belly and said "baby, baby move.." and she jumped all around in there making my whole tummy bounce. He was so pleased with himself and said that the baby likes him ! I am so happy that my family is finally feeling her move ! It took forever. She would always go still before. Now when she hears their voices she moves all around. It's like she wants to play ! I was hugging my daughter this morning and she felt the baby kick on her tummy because we were pressed up close like that. She thought that was funny. This is the part of preganacy I enjoy most. When the belly is big and everyone can feel the baby moving ! I have been suffering way more aches and pains that my previous pregnancies which is a bummer but hey , at least I'm not throwing up like I did with those ! I get the numb hip , it hurts to roll over in bed , the round ligament pain , I had the pain under my right rib that prompted a dr visit and now the pain on my side/flank that prompted another dr visit , the heartburn , swollen hands, feet, ankles etc. (heck it's all swollen) and on top of that I fell pretty hard recently. Luckily all is well though and all in all I'm so much happier pregnant at this stage that I have been the whole rest of the time. I can't wait for the baby shower and to start decorating and putting away baby stuff. Now if only I weren't so tired.........................

Ashlyn

Carly

Shyann

Lily

These are the top contenders. Still welcoming input and comments on these names.......yes STILL undecided.

Well she is here...........

baby Ashlyn Rayne

born 3-14-08 8lbs 9oz 21 inches

She is a sweet baby. Not too fussy , very alert , smiling, loves being held........we are over the moon with her. Her big sister is a huge help and has so much love and patience with her , she has Dads heart and big brothers as well. Life was a pretty big adjustment the first 3 weeks but now we are pretty much settled in and enjoying every minute of it. Definately starting over for us but knowing she will be the last baby makes it a very special time. She loves being in her Bjorn carrier and we take walks every morning in it. She hates baths still though. Nights are for the most part pretty good , she eats and falls right back asleep. Its amazing to see my pregnant photos and now a pic of her and know thats who was in there all that time!

Hey Girl!!! Thanks for the congrats! Oh, and yes the babies always look so cute when they're not screaming in your face for something, LOL!
How are things with your recovery? Mine was extremely slow at first, but my hubby was able to take 2 weeks off, and now it's a lot better. I'm just waiting for my 6 week appt. so the doc can tell me what exercise I can and cannot do.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Can't wait to see pics!!!

Don't feel bad I was a wreck the first time I left Addyson with her dad. I called every ten min. it seemed. But, you have to let him do it. You gotta remember he may make mistakes and not do everything right but how else will he learn? Besides he loves her he won't let anything bad happen to her so you at least know she will be okay. Maybe not happy as she is with mom cause we just have that touch. I know it is hard but go ahead and do it and enjoy the time with your other daughter. Just give him specific instruction. Men like to have everything in order. leave bottles diapers, ect. layed out and explain how you want it all done:) It is sooooooo hard but it will be good for him and the baby. I even let daddy take her on an outing to his work last week. WOW! Was that scarey. He did great though. I was supposed to be relaxing and getting some rest while they were out but got none:) When he got home he thanked me for letting him take her. It felt really good even though he didn't have to thank me. It is his daughter too afterall. Hope this helps and if you do let me know how it turned out!

I've been going through the same thing as you. I found out yesterday my little man lost 5 ounces because my supply went way down. I had no idea he lost weight! I called the visiting nurse to weigh him after he ate so I could see how much he was getting and when she put him on the scale he was lighter than 2 weeks ago! I felt horrible and cried! I had no idea I was starving my child! I finally came to the conclusion that formula would have to work. I feel really guilty, so I nurse him like you, a couple of times a day and pump if I have time. It's nice to be able to go anywhere though and not have to worry about pumping before you go!

I'm so glad you are your baby are doing well. Sorry to hear you had to cut down on nursing but oh well. You still are able to do some. You tried very hard and that is what counts. Lots of women would have given up by now. You should pat yourself on the back for the work you've done. Also, maybe in time you can add feedings. I started out slow and then added in some. Just a thought. Anyway, I know there are may breastfeeding nazis out there that say never give formula, just feed more. But you and I both know that just isn't right when your baby is starving. I had to use formula the first few months too. It was what I had to do so Kekoa would gain weight. You do what is best for your baby. I'm proud of your work. You've done very well!

I read that you had your little girl! Congratulations! I bet she is beautiful! Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about your birth story! Good luck with your recovery!

aprilmedina - Monday, 17 Mar
Hey! How are you? Haven't seen any posts from you for a couple of days! Have you had your little one yet? You better let me know! I go in today again to see how its going. My dr. is insisting on an amnio cuz she moved my due date up after my ultrasound. She is afraid he might just be large instead of me being further along. Couldn't do the amnio last wed cuz his cord was in the way, we were supposed to go in last night to be induced but now we have to wait and go in today and hopefully do the amnio! Wish me luck!

If they are hurting I believe they are the real thing. You should call L&D so you can have your peace of mind. Let me know how it goes.

babygirlgabi - Thursday, 13 Mar
My doctor suggested spicy food, sex and beer :), not a lot of beer of course maybe 2oz :)
Well did all of the above plus I took long walks….nothing helped:(…
Cheers!

I had my membranes swept Monday, w/o much happening--I did lose my plug yesterday but not much of anything since =(

bellybumbles - Thursday, 13 Mar
lol, the procedure was totally akward i thought. My doc was really rough and right after he was done there was light pink mucus, which i thought was my plug, but when i asked he said i had probably already lost it, so who knows. I was really crampy right after and excited, but that faded and i've had contractions since, but some are just BH and some are real, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I've also had the discharge, but when i wear a pad it's uncomfortable and there's not enough to wear one all day...actually i usually only notice it when i wipe. I went walking at the mall today, I plan on having sex later and I'm hoping something starts to work, lol. It's reasuring to know she will be here before April, but at the same time i would love to see her right now!! Ugh, these are going to be a long few days i feel :P

dawnybobs - Thursday, 13 Mar
hiya, they say your waters will be either clear or straw coloured (which i guess means pee coloured or browny??) - I would recommend you tell your midwife as they can do a internal check and if your waters are trickling you will have a pool of water inside your vagina, i went monday and didnt but last night i did - i am going in in the morning where they will break my waters (as i am just losing my back waters at the moment) but saying that in the last half hour i have been leaking alot more so maybe its happening sooner that i thought!

bellybumbles - Wednesday, 12 Mar
that's as far as i got with it too, lol. It was neat, but kind of freaked me out because i was scared i would do something that i shouldn't be doing. Have you had your membranes swept? lol, that was an akward experience earlier today, but hopefully it kicks things into gear!

bellybumbles - Monday, 10 Mar
thank you! We got the flowers at babies r us, they're all glittery which you can't really see in the picture and I love them! your pics look great! when did you have them done? Check target and see if they have those tables on sale by you! they had them in white and black. Ahh, i'm so excited but it seems like she's never going to get here! lol. Let's hope for early deliveries in the next couple days :)

soon2bmummaof2 - Sunday, 9 Mar
That sounds frustrating about your husband! You know what I would do? Call one of those all purpose handymen and just get them to do it. If your husband gets mad at you spending the money, just say it had to get done and he wasn't helping you, so....
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and have a safe, healthy delivery! We're on the home stretch now!

:) susan

kim123 - Sunday, 9 Mar
Hi, what you do is make a list of all the things your husband needs to do and put check boxes next to each thing. Post it on the fridge. That is what I do when I need my husband to do lots of things, especially when I was on bedrest! Believe me, I know what you are feeling right now because I was going through that too in a bad way!

nikkit - Saturday, 8 Mar
Man that sucks I'm glad my MIL has not asked to be in the room..I'd Bluntly Say.. Its a personal thing and I'm not asking anyone to be in the room w/ except him..Not even my MOM, And if she does not get it, then oh well..My question is to you??Why isn't he saying something to her like Hey Mom this is one of those times when its not happening..Will he be angry w/ you?? Make him be the bad Guy..And if they don't like it Tough I know I don't even want my Close friends all looking at my Business LOL.. I could not even imagine My MIL...LOL Good Luck. But I think you'll just have to flat out tell her I'll Call you after the baby is born..Seriously I feel your Pain..LOL

NikyGyrl - Friday, 7 Mar
Hmmmm? From what I understand, Posterior is opposite of what I told you. In my esthetic studies (during biology) posterior is 'facing away from', but I just googled it when you said your doc looked disappointed. Here's what I found... What's a posterior position?

Some babies go down into the pelvis with the back of their heads towards their mothers' spines. This is called a POSTERIOR position and it can lead to several things happening:

• Your waters are more likely to break at the beginning of labour.

• You have a lot of backache during and in between contractions.

• Labour is slower.

• You may need forceps or ventouse (a suction device) to help you give birth to your baby.

The close proximity between the baby's bony skull and your spine can be very uncomfortable, and you might well find that the best position to labour in is on all fours. In this position, your baby drops away from your spine, helping relieve the backache.

When your baby gets to the bottom of your pelvis, he'll need to turn through 180 degrees to get into the best position for him to be born. This can take quite a while, or your baby may decide he's not going to turn at all! In this case, he will be born with his face looking up at you as he emerges. He might need forceps or ventouse to help him out.
Hope this helps! Sorry for the false info at the start :(
