Hi all ! This site is great , like myspace for preggers lol. Anyways I am working on my third baby here. I have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My husband and I will have had a child (together believe it or not) in our teens , 20's and now 30's. It's round three and we are so looking forward to it.

Monday, 10 Dec

so I am still stumped for baby girl names that flow well with Skylar and Dylan......suggestions.....
also what do you guys think of Stella , Cheyann , or Ashlyn?

Friday , Jan. 4th

So I feel as if I'm in the full swing of pregnancy now. The heartburn is here , the swollen ankles , and all that weight gain. However my favorite part is here too.....feeling my little girl move around all over the place ! She seems to be shy though. She'll be rockin' and rollin' in there and as soon as I have my hubby or daughter try to feel...she stops ! Everytime ! She is so active and nobody but me seems to be experiencing it. Thats kind of frustrating. I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I won't be having my shower until Feb 10th and we have nothing for my little one. Not one thing. We haven't even started on the nursery yet. Luckily for me my daughter moved out of her old room and we redid a new more grown up room for her so the nursery is already painted pink and green. If I can find coordinating bedding she'll only need closet organizers put in , things on the wall , curtains , a changinf table , and crib as she will be using my daughters old furniture (dressar etc.) Still , I feel an urgency to get started. I'm going to register for the shower this weekend and am really looking forward to doing something "baby". Sometimes I just feel fat and not pregnant because the baby really hasn't been the focus here lately with so much other stuff going on. Guess thats just how it goes when your hubby has a new position/title at work , you have a teenager , and an overly social daughter as well as the college class I was taking and I do housecalls ( I'm a hairstylist) on the side. Anyways , I'm really starting to get excited for my new baby girl to arrive. I have dr app on the 10th and will be going every 2 weeks after that. I'm measuring right on target for my due date and have had 2 unltrasounds that both put me at March 14th. I'm going to be a crazy person and go with my daughter and her Girlscout troop to her 1st weekend camp in Malibu next weekend. It will be so tiring but a special memory for the 2 of us before baby. I've been batteling a cold that has left me even more tired than usual but that will pass. Unfortunately it's just a little more misery/discomfort to deal with. I'm not one of those people who loves being pregnant. I pretty much hate everything about it EXCEPT feeling her move and knowing that I am growing a beautiful child in there ....thats pretty amazing. Well , I felt the need to blog today so there it is. Happy Pregnancies to all..lol

Hubby's name picks :

Carly Rae

Cheyanne (maybe Elizabeth ? What goes w/ this one?)

Let me know what you guys think............

my prego brain just can't nail down a name. It was sooo much easier with the other 2.

So I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe how fast it's going by. Things have been moving along well lately. My husband bought me a glider without me even asking for it or seeing it first. It was so nice to see him take some interest on his own. We have stepped up "date night" knowing time is running out and he's been shopping online for the nursery furniture , which we finally ordered last week. I hope to get it this weekend. We went to Babies R Us together and he helped pick out a stroller and a mattress. I have been so happy about his interest level. Now that it's getting close he's really getting excited and int o it. My son who is 14 had a great experience wit the baby the other day as well. She was moving a lot so I had him touch my belly and she kicked. He thought it was crazy so I said do it again. She wasn't moving so he leaned in and sain "Baby" in a deep voice and she kicked his hand , so then he put both hands on my belly and said "baby, baby move.." and she jumped all around in there making my whole tummy bounce. He was so pleased with himself and said that the baby likes him ! I am so happy that my family is finally feeling her move ! It took forever. She would always go still before. Now when she hears their voices she moves all around. It's like she wants to play ! I was hugging my daughter this morning and she felt the baby kick on her tummy because we were pressed up close like that. She thought that was funny. This is the part of preganacy I enjoy most. When the belly is big and everyone can feel the baby moving ! I have been suffering way more aches and pains that my previous pregnancies which is a bummer but hey , at least I'm not throwing up like I did with those ! I get the numb hip , it hurts to roll over in bed , the round ligament pain , I had the pain under my right rib that prompted a dr visit and now the pain on my side/flank that prompted another dr visit , the heartburn , swollen hands, feet, ankles etc. (heck it's all swollen) and on top of that I fell pretty hard recently. Luckily all is well though and all in all I'm so much happier pregnant at this stage that I have been the whole rest of the time. I can't wait for the baby shower and to start decorating and putting away baby stuff. Now if only I weren't so tired.........................

Ashlyn

Carly

Shyann

Lily

These are the top contenders. Still welcoming input and comments on these names.......yes STILL undecided.

Well she is here...........

baby Ashlyn Rayne

born 3-14-08 8lbs 9oz 21 inches

She is a sweet baby. Not too fussy , very alert , smiling, loves being held........we are over the moon with her. Her big sister is a huge help and has so much love and patience with her , she has Dads heart and big brothers as well. Life was a pretty big adjustment the first 3 weeks but now we are pretty much settled in and enjoying every minute of it. Definately starting over for us but knowing she will be the last baby makes it a very special time. She loves being in her Bjorn carrier and we take walks every morning in it. She hates baths still though. Nights are for the most part pretty good , she eats and falls right back asleep. Its amazing to see my pregnant photos and now a pic of her and know thats who was in there all that time!

Ya, if I were you, I would at least go part time. Do you have a cutting stool you can use? I have heard those work well. I am only working 4 days a week, but two of those are friday and saturday and my ob had to perscribe me massages because I could hardly walk! Doing hair is not a typical job, so I would take it as easy as possible! PS You are cute pregnant! And do you since you look young, like myself, get; Oh this isn't your first? This is our 4th! People act like I am some looser with a van full of kids just because I look young!

nicci - Tuesday, 12 Feb

You are too darn cute! I love your picture, you look great! Thank you for the comment about the baby showers. I don't know what people are thinking! I use to own a bridal shop and it was interesting; most brides only think of themselves and everyone else is mud. I guess that can be applied to this situation too, maybe these new moms feel it is only important to celebrate the first baby. I guess when they are on their secon, third, or whatever, they might feel different. I know brides who were getting remarried felt like they were important enought to have a wedding and a shower or two. Maybe it will be the same with these moms. The only bummer is we will never know!! Oh well.... Here's to hoping for a baby shower! LOL!!

Lily is a gorgeous name. Im having a girl and we are naming her Abigail Lillian but Lily for short. Im not a fan of carly rae, my husbands cousin just named her daughter that and i just think it sounds too much like a fat boys name.

LOL, it's so funny like that..how people get sooooo upset, my mom is sooo upset at me right now, she is just going on and on to my brother and asking him what she did to me to make me so mad...she doesn't understand...my dad cornered me and told me she cried for 3 days when I told everyone the name...when I first found out I was pregnant I said if it's a girl it'll be Alana Jenette Darlene Anderson, after her and my MIL..the first thing she said was, well where did you get Jenette..so it's not so much the name, it's she's pissed that I think so highly of my MIL....but I thought it was too long...so I got rid of Darlene, bc I didn't like it...OH well...your right, people are touchy..

onmywayto3 - Thursday, 7 Feb
Thanks for your response...I think going neutral is a way to go...even though I love that middle name...I don't want to hurt her on purpose, I just hate how she and my dad is holding this against me...I bet even if I go neutral, she will act the same...she did with my first daughter...that's why I named her after myself to avoid any confict...I think I'll go with Nicole...it's still after a loved one, my cousin who passed...but I don't know...GRRRRR ...thanks for your advice though :)

They inject a saline like solution into the tiny spider veins in the office and generally they will go away. Several women I am friends with and work with have had this procedure done and it's quite simple. I beleive they had it done at the dermatologists. Some veins may take more than one injection, depending on how bad they are.

We recently bought a 3-in-one crib from Target. It's the Milan Crib and Changer combo from Simplicity. It was around $200 but I had seen it online at Walmart for around $150 about a week later. It looks adorable and was very easy to put together. I'm 8 months pregnant and did it myself in under two hours, with minimal frustration.

I talked to the doc about immunization and he reassured me that the risks are very small and the benefits are big, so I will be immunizing. Good luck with your choice :)

mamagarces - Thursday, 31 Jan
sorry it took me so long to reply to you. i haven't been on today.
if you are at all concerned, go to your doctor, as my doctor said, better safe than sorry.
but, as we get closer to the end of the pregnancy, many babies slow down a lot, because they are cramped for space in there.
wishing you a healthy, happy pregnancy, and baby! :)

mommaj - Thursday, 31 Jan
i ahd decreased movement and went in for monitoring and it turned out I have low fluid so they monitor me with ultrasound twice a week. sometimes the baby just has lazy days too though. i would call your dr and see what they say?

mommaof3inohio - Wednesday, 30 Jan
I've noticed recently that if I lay on my left side that he starts moving. They say also if you are concerned to drink a really cold drink, like water and lay on your side. But like everyone else has said, they are growing out of their lil apartment in there lol. So its hard for them to move as much.

RichelleH - Wednesday, 30 Jan
from my understanding, the babies have less room to move and they sleep alot more now. They are like newborn babies in a way already. I dought you have anything to worry about but if it makes you feel better call your doc to ask questions so that you will feel better and not worry : )

onmywayto3 - Wednesday, 30 Jan
Hey...your baby is running out of room so it's very normal to feel lack of movement...but to be safe drink something cold and sweet and lay on your left side and see what happens and call your dr if your still worried...there is no such thing as a mom who worries too much :) good luck!

bellybumbles - Wednesday, 30 Jan
i like shyann the best :) did you decide on middle names yet?

March - Wednesday, 30 Jan
Hey, about the baby movement - I know my dr said if I ever get worried about a decrease in movement let him know and he's happy to do an u/s to check things out. So you could definitely do that. But also a few weeks ago I went for several days with very little movement, but that hasn't happened recently. Try drinking a nice tall glass of cold water, & see what happens. I think my little boy moves more the more water I drink.

bellybumbles - Wednesday, 30 Jan
thanks, i'm really glad i got them done :) Hopefully she's really a girl or I'll be explaining the pink stuff to a boy one day, haha.
