Hi all ! This site is great , like myspace for preggers lol. Anyways I am working on my third baby here. I have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My husband and I will have had a child (together believe it or not) in our teens , 20's and now 30's. It's round three and we are so looking forward to it.

Monday, 10 Dec

so I am still stumped for baby girl names that flow well with Skylar and Dylan......suggestions.....
also what do you guys think of Stella , Cheyann , or Ashlyn?

Friday , Jan. 4th

So I feel as if I'm in the full swing of pregnancy now. The heartburn is here , the swollen ankles , and all that weight gain. However my favorite part is here too.....feeling my little girl move around all over the place ! She seems to be shy though. She'll be rockin' and rollin' in there and as soon as I have my hubby or daughter try to feel...she stops ! Everytime ! She is so active and nobody but me seems to be experiencing it. Thats kind of frustrating. I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I won't be having my shower until Feb 10th and we have nothing for my little one. Not one thing. We haven't even started on the nursery yet. Luckily for me my daughter moved out of her old room and we redid a new more grown up room for her so the nursery is already painted pink and green. If I can find coordinating bedding she'll only need closet organizers put in , things on the wall , curtains , a changinf table , and crib as she will be using my daughters old furniture (dressar etc.) Still , I feel an urgency to get started. I'm going to register for the shower this weekend and am really looking forward to doing something "baby". Sometimes I just feel fat and not pregnant because the baby really hasn't been the focus here lately with so much other stuff going on. Guess thats just how it goes when your hubby has a new position/title at work , you have a teenager , and an overly social daughter as well as the college class I was taking and I do housecalls ( I'm a hairstylist) on the side. Anyways , I'm really starting to get excited for my new baby girl to arrive. I have dr app on the 10th and will be going every 2 weeks after that. I'm measuring right on target for my due date and have had 2 unltrasounds that both put me at March 14th. I'm going to be a crazy person and go with my daughter and her Girlscout troop to her 1st weekend camp in Malibu next weekend. It will be so tiring but a special memory for the 2 of us before baby. I've been batteling a cold that has left me even more tired than usual but that will pass. Unfortunately it's just a little more misery/discomfort to deal with. I'm not one of those people who loves being pregnant. I pretty much hate everything about it EXCEPT feeling her move and knowing that I am growing a beautiful child in there ....thats pretty amazing. Well , I felt the need to blog today so there it is. Happy Pregnancies to all..lol

Hubby's name picks :

Carly Rae

Cheyanne (maybe Elizabeth ? What goes w/ this one?)

Let me know what you guys think............

my prego brain just can't nail down a name. It was sooo much easier with the other 2.

So I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe how fast it's going by. Things have been moving along well lately. My husband bought me a glider without me even asking for it or seeing it first. It was so nice to see him take some interest on his own. We have stepped up "date night" knowing time is running out and he's been shopping online for the nursery furniture , which we finally ordered last week. I hope to get it this weekend. We went to Babies R Us together and he helped pick out a stroller and a mattress. I have been so happy about his interest level. Now that it's getting close he's really getting excited and int o it. My son who is 14 had a great experience wit the baby the other day as well. She was moving a lot so I had him touch my belly and she kicked. He thought it was crazy so I said do it again. She wasn't moving so he leaned in and sain "Baby" in a deep voice and she kicked his hand , so then he put both hands on my belly and said "baby, baby move.." and she jumped all around in there making my whole tummy bounce. He was so pleased with himself and said that the baby likes him ! I am so happy that my family is finally feeling her move ! It took forever. She would always go still before. Now when she hears their voices she moves all around. It's like she wants to play ! I was hugging my daughter this morning and she felt the baby kick on her tummy because we were pressed up close like that. She thought that was funny. This is the part of preganacy I enjoy most. When the belly is big and everyone can feel the baby moving ! I have been suffering way more aches and pains that my previous pregnancies which is a bummer but hey , at least I'm not throwing up like I did with those ! I get the numb hip , it hurts to roll over in bed , the round ligament pain , I had the pain under my right rib that prompted a dr visit and now the pain on my side/flank that prompted another dr visit , the heartburn , swollen hands, feet, ankles etc. (heck it's all swollen) and on top of that I fell pretty hard recently. Luckily all is well though and all in all I'm so much happier pregnant at this stage that I have been the whole rest of the time. I can't wait for the baby shower and to start decorating and putting away baby stuff. Now if only I weren't so tired.........................

Ashlyn

Carly

Shyann

Lily

These are the top contenders. Still welcoming input and comments on these names.......yes STILL undecided.

Well she is here...........

baby Ashlyn Rayne

born 3-14-08 8lbs 9oz 21 inches

She is a sweet baby. Not too fussy , very alert , smiling, loves being held........we are over the moon with her. Her big sister is a huge help and has so much love and patience with her , she has Dads heart and big brothers as well. Life was a pretty big adjustment the first 3 weeks but now we are pretty much settled in and enjoying every minute of it. Definately starting over for us but knowing she will be the last baby makes it a very special time. She loves being in her Bjorn carrier and we take walks every morning in it. She hates baths still though. Nights are for the most part pretty good , she eats and falls right back asleep. Its amazing to see my pregnant photos and now a pic of her and know thats who was in there all that time!

Hey about your baby shower...since your daughter is a little older, and possible the kids that are invited to the shower will be too, could your friends set up an activity for them to do in a separate area? Maybe then you could enjoy your shower with the other adults there. Then once you open gifts or at some point get everyone together, so your daughter can enjoy being with you during that part of your shower. I just got done student teaching, and have lots of activities that kids can do pretty much on their own if you need any ideas. I hope that helps.

Hey! I went to the doctor yesterday and they still say the pain I have on my right side is stretching of the muscles, etc. I guess I have no choice but to deal with it until he gets here. It seems to be getting a little better. My shower isn't until the 16th of Feb. and My girls are going to be there. I figured I would let them help me open the presents and participate because my youngest who is 6 is already asking if she will still be loved, etc. I didn't think I would here that from them since they are older but they really are excited for their little brother to be here. Well, good luck with your shower and let me know how things go. Brandi

I just read someone's comment on your page about raspberry leaf tea...I was just told in my pre-natal class that I should be drinking it every day! It doesn't induce labour, it induces contractions! Its like a primer, she said like training your uterus for the marathon its about to run!
Oh, and Lily is my favorite from your list. It was on mine too...I'm having a boy, but someday I'll get to use one of the girls names on my list (Emma, Josie, Sophie or Lily)

Thank you for the message. I feel a little better this morning...not crying at least. I know I can not think of all the days left I just need to think of getting through today. Its such a sad way to live though! Day to day living. I see the doctor in a while. I am going to ask him about some different meds for the nausea and about just scheduling the birth. I have a 16 yr old, 13 yr old, 11 yr old and now this one. I really am starting over again. I do not know how I will keep after an infant and 3 teens at the same time. I can only pray God gives me really good intuision to steer them out of trouble before it finds them. I will be quite distracted with a new child. I AM A LITTLE SCARED HERE! God bless and thanks for writing.

i went to the doctor yesterday and they also said i had gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks...only gaining 12 the whole time..thats a bog shoot up in weight for me! lol well to make you feel better, they told me it could be from not having regualr bowel movements everyday OR water weight OR from just eating prior to the appointment...either way..im sure NEITHER of us gained that much in two weeks! i dont even look that different! lol

Sorry had the letters backwards. Symphyis Pubic dysfunction. Any activity that involves lifting one leg at a time or parting the legs tends to be particularly painful. Lifting the leg to put on clothes, getting out of a car, bending over, sitting down or getting up, walking up stairs, standing on one leg, lifting heavy objects, and walking in general tend to be difficult at times. Many women report that moving or turning over in bed is especially excruciating.

I just want to say that I read your comment on th week 2 week page, and it's weird because I have the exact same problem! The hip going numb thing, hard to turn and when you do get up, it hurts so bad you wanna lie back down. Sucks doesn't it. What r u doing for it?? I hear it's PSD.

636brandi - Tuesday, 22 Jan
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I know exactly what you mean. I too am pregnant for the third time and I have so many different aches and pains that I do not remember with my first two. I thought maybe it was because it has been so many years since going through this that maybe my body isn't use to it. I go to the doctor Friday for an appt. and I am going to ask him to do some kind of test to see what is going on. Thanks again and good luck with your little one. P.s. I really like the name Cheyanne!

momagain - Tuesday, 22 Jan
You shouldn't be drinking any tea with raspberry in it. Red Raspberry induces labor. There are other options. Do a 'net search on herbs that induce labor, and AVOID THEM UNTIL IT'S TIME!

mommaof3inohio - Tuesday, 22 Jan
Awwww!! That is horrible about you falling!! I think as long as the baby's heart rate is strong and she is moving around then you should be good to go. But always follow your instinct. If you would feel better having an ultrasound, then demand it!! You are the mom and you know what is normal and what isn't!! Good luck. Keep us informed!!! Hope the rest of you heels soon :)

navywifemomof3 - Wednesday, 16 Jan
I had the exact pain but on the right side and it ended up being my kidney. I have two children as well and never felt that pain before (it explains it on my web page). Also, I read your post about a name. I have an 8 year old named Cheyenne, so I am partial to that name..lol. If your pain persists, you might want to talk to your doctor about getting an u/s of your kidney (you might be able to see the baby then too). Good luck and keep in touch!

Names are hard. I really like Carly Rae for your daughter. Cheyanne is nice too and goes with Rae as well. But I think I like Carly better. Not too big on Stella but Ashlyn is pretty since you are asking for opinions. Are you from So Cal as well as me? I see you are going to Malibu.

creepswifey - Saturday, 5 Jan
Hi SRM, I read your blog and noticed that you are looking for a bedding set with green and pink in it.. The set i picked out for myself has those colors in it and its gorgeous. Check it out, www.kidsline.com It is a ladybug theme, it had white, green, pink, red. Let me know if you like it and ill give you a site that had good prices and free shipping. Good Luck, your 1 day ahead of me.

MommaJ - Saturday, 5 Jan
We havent decided for sure. I think we will prob end up waiting until she is here to decide. lol. How about you?
Only 10 weeks left. Crazy! Feeling very pregnant these days!!

majah9 - Thursday, 3 Jan
Carly Rae ia a cool name. My daughter's middle name is Noel and she hates it...but then again she's a teenager. lol. Good Luck.

TIffanymom2almost4! - Wednesday, 2 Jan
I saw that we have similar issues at night! I toss an turn all night and never seem to feel rested in the morning!1! All I keep thinking is that i have 10 1/2 more weeks left!!!

I am shocked that your kids are going to be so far apart. How was that first transition? My youngest is 7 now and I'm scared that my kids now will never bond with the baby like my 3 I already have. Is there hope?

OH and I like Ashlynn ( I also like Brynlee)! It goes well with Skylar. I have a son named Khyler :). Girls names are so much easier to pick out I think. I am having a boy due the day after you and all we have picked out is the name Trey. I like Treyson Reid and he likes Trey Zion (?). I'm hoping I win that battle :)
