Myspace Backgrounds - Welcome To My Page

Hi! My name is Stacey and my husband is Steve and I am expecting my third child, Steve's First! We were very shocked to learn that I was pregnant as this was not planned but now the initial shock has subsided and we are very excited and happy! I have 2 boys from my ex-husband and they are so excited about this baby. Both Steve's and my family are very excited to be having a new addition!

Due in September

Photobucket boy or girl

Friday 27th June

30 Weeks!

Home stretch now! Finished work and moving house so not really putting my feet up just using my energy to unpack boxes... my lower legs are massively swollen, i think it may be something to do with varicose veins. i've totally been overdoing it and gettting horrible pelvic pain at night. plus bubs has head right down already which feels like constant pressure 'down there'

but im loving it.

looking forward to exercising and getting into my old clothes. oh and holding the baby of course! im convinced its a boy. cant wait to find out.

Thurs 3rd July

I am now married and loving it, also off work. had a bleed 5 days ago and ended up in hospital for 2 nights, I was so frightened. thought bubs was coming early and had to have steroid injections... seems to be ok, no more bleeding, but on bed rest, arggg!! will update more after..

Wed 9th July

My sister had a long early labour and eventually delivered her daughter naturally on the 4th of July. I have been trying to take it easy but its not possible and I have been in and out and up and down like a jack rabbit! I just have too much to do and two young boys to entertain.

there is nothing you can do about your babys size.. sorry, but your doctor is right. Im 35weeks and my dr told me two weeks ago he was big... i'm either going to be early giving birth, or hes going to be a 9 pounder! if hes that big im asking for c-section.. will be better in the end. Dont want to risk him getting stuck on the way out.. thats not a good thing.

I have a 3 year old boy, and we are expecting another boy in September. Working from home today and Monday - YAY! and then on leave for a week next week (last time before mat leave). I see from your page you are a nurse - one of my friends was a nurse, really hard (but rewarding) work I understand. It's great you can finish at week 30. I finished at 6 months when pregnant with Zac, I think I really needed the final 3 months of me time I was likey to get in a loooong time... also helped me transition to a slower pace. Best wishes, and keep in touch :)

Well I didnt notice the sex of the baby during the ultrasound, because I wasnt even looking. I was too busy talking to the tech, is the baby ok, is everything normal etc. But when I got home and watched the dvd, it was so obvious it was a boy. I have compared his 'package' to about 50 scan pictures of boys on the net and there is no doubt its a boy. I even did the online ultrasound test where you have to guess what sex the baby is, and I got it right everytime. Its probably a good thing as most of the baby clothes I have been given are boy clothes.

T2 is definitely the easiest one.. I have some energy again - lacking in sleep a bit waking at 3 - 4am and not getting back to sleep til 630am... then getting up at 7am. Also having really vivid dreams about people I forgot even existed - some are really disturbing!! I'm still working 5 days a week, phasing down to 3 days a week in August, and going on mat leave in September. Not sure how I'll do it, getting harder and harder to focus. I work as an IT solution consultant, so there is some flexibility to work from home when I'm not customer facing - which helps me keep going. Are you working too? When do you wrap up?

aafreen - Thursday, 1 May

Hi Stacka, I see you are not only nesting and spotless, but a Melbournian Aussie too :) How is your pregnancy going? How are you coping with this bitter cold spell? I need to get the cleaning nesting going soon - and de-clutter the wardrobes full of crap in the nursery... my nesting has been more focussed on shopping the past few weeks.

I am going to the Mercy in Heidelberg as well! How funny if we ended up there at the same time. We are in Croydon, near Ringwood? Are you familiar with those suburbs? I have no baby things at all from my kids. We laybyd a pram, a Mountain Buggy Elite from Baby Bunting, laybyd a car seat, but still have to get a cot. I have been given a baby rocker chair, heaps of baby clothes and have just started to get a few things like bunny rugs and wraps, cot sheets etc. We didnt want to find out what we are having, and didnt ask at the scan, but I saw anyway, its a boy. Havent told Steed that I know what it is though. How about you, are you leaving it a surprise?

tracmac - Wednesday, 30 April
Yes very rusty. Feeling my age with this one. A lot more tired thats for sure. We are really excited, but a bit anxious to see if we will all cope. The cot has to go in our room as I couldnt possibly make one of the kids share, either with the baby or each other. Its our cross to bear so cant wait for a crying, screaming baby to be standing in the cot a foot away from the end of our bed! We are renting at the moment, as buying is off till I am back at work, so we are stuck here for awhile. I am trying to really enjoy this pregnancy as it is our last, and I really want to enjoy the baby as a baby for as long as possible. Oh just saw your blog on getting married, congratulations! We did exactly that 3 years ago at the registry office too. Nathan is from my previous relationship but Steed is 'Dad', and Steed and I have Keely together. The first thing I said to Steed after the wedding was thankgod we didnt spend the money on anything lavish. The day couldnt have been anymore perfect and we didnt spend thousands and thousands on it. Where abouts do you nurse, and where do you plan to have the baby? We are going to the Mercy, and I just do share care with my GP apart from key visits at the Mercy.

I work for the Coles Group Accounting Service at Mulgrave. My department is being transferred to Tooronga in the next month or so though, which will be a pain, as I am in Croydon. I work Wed, Thurs, Fri 8-5, so I am very lucky to have a four day weekend. I worked this monday for one of my colleagues, so I get this friday off, so a five day weekend coming up, yay! I will have to work pretty much right up, like a week or two before, as I just need to keep the money coming in for as long as I can. I am saving all my annual leave so I should have about 6wks of paid leave then on maternity leave till about Feb or March. I have to get back asap because we have the kids in Catholic schools so gotta keep paying those fees. We will be right financially for me to have about 5-6 months off, then bubs will have to go into creche the days I work. Like I said to hubby, at least i have 4 out of 7 days off, so I am hoping to manage that ok. Its very hard isnt it. I feel for you full time.

tracmac - Wednesday, 30 April
Hi, do you work nightshift? I only work 3 days a week, but tonight I am just stuffed. Just sitting with a cup of tea for a bit till I have to get up and iron school shirts, do lunches etc. I have been feeling pretty good these last couple of weeks, but I have really bad insomnia at the moment. I had it with my son and it drives me crazy. I am so tired, I fall asleep straight away, but then I wake at 3 or 4 or 5 in the morning and cant get back to sleep. I have to explain to the girls at work that I have been awake since 3am otherwise they might mistake me for a zombie.

Hi Stacka, I am in Melbourne too. Love seeing other Aussies online. Message me anytime.

Most hospitals give out a lot of materials, I had a sheet that listed all the things to have on hand for an infant... Those come in handy, because they have a check list on them... Good luck with everything....
