My husband was in the room. Then I wnet for a pedicure and the girl told him how to stimulate labor through rubbing certain pressure points in my feet. I told him he had a very busy week ahead of him! I honesly think he is over me being pregnant though, my "issues" have been wearing him down! He is very supportive, but feels like me - it's time. The tests they did last week were a 24 hr urine and 2 blood work ups. It was to check me for pre-eclampsia. Early, early stages doc said - but will be in good shape if I deliver next week. My bubbly is chilling, how about you? I had a glass of tea last night, the first caffine I have had in almost a year. It was my birthday and I thought since I was this close, why not? That is so sweet that your daughter is getting so excited. Our girls are so lucky to get to have little sisters - I always wanted one so bad. Enjoy your u/s, when I had mine last week it was so different than what I expected because she was so big and it was hard to see everything. But we got to see her breathing and her heart and ribs, I really wanted to see her hands and feet, I guess I should have asked.
P.S. I'd rather walk than have sex too. Right now it's done with the agenda of completing a mission rather than for fun or love. It sure isn't fun. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you at your visit Friday, maybe the doc will have good news about your dialation and efacement! I bet with your contractions you have made some progress. These are our 3rd babies, aren't they supposed to come faster?

I feel great today. I had a doctors appt this morning and feel like the end is in site. All my test results came back fine, not perfect, but not enough to worry about. My cervix is thinning out nicely, so my doc is going to sweep my membranes next Monday, she said that should bring on labor within 24 hours. She almost did it today, but decided to wait, which is fine with me, I still have plenty to do before she gets here. Doc told my husband he needed to be stimulating my nipples daily and that he should have lots of sex with me, she even told him he may want to take a couple days off to "help things along". I thought he was going to die. She also told me walk a lot, I think he liked that idea better, because that is what we have been doing all afternoon. Sex right now freaks him out, especially now that the doc said the baby is down so low. Honestly, I go totally go without it too.
We looked at the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Seinna (i love the Toyota I have now), but I just haven't been able to make the move. Are you feeling okay? My doc said the pulling we have been feeling down there is from cervical thinning. I don't mind being uncomfortable as long as the discomfort is leading to progression.

mine were 3 minutes coming every 4 minutes- I was 3cm 50% effaced- I go back tomorrow to see if anything changed- I hope so- this has been going on since Friday- Im exhausted

Our fourth bedroom is on the opposite end of our house and has french doors out to our patio, so I do not feel good about putting the kids down there, so the baby will be sharing a room with Grace. Maybe when the real estate market gets better we will move out of the area we live in and move towards one of the outer suburbs where we can afford more house. My husband wants me to get a mini van, so do the kids - I think at some point it will become inevitable, but right now I am happy about keeping my gas guzzling SUV. I am feeling strange things down there too, and cramping especially over the past few days. Thought about you last night, I had contractions all night, thought about you having the same issue a couple nights ago. I go to the doctor tomorrow, I am anxious to see if anything is going on. I hope I am making some progress, but I am trying not to get too hopeful. This kids gotta come out sometime, right?

I have been sleeping pretty well, but I feel like I just cannot get enough! I do not know if it has anything to do with my BP but, my eyes just ache and burn. I would like to have another baby, but only if I can afford to quit working. Four children would also mean a larger car and home b/c we only have 4 bedrooms, so who knows. This is my second marriage, and this will be my husbands first child, so I hate to do anything permanent because I think he would probably want another. It's hard to think about right now though! Have you lost your mucus plug? I haven't, thought I might today - I was having a stretching feeling in my cervix and I started having a bad discharge (sorry for the detail). I never lost it with my first two kids.

Wow, that is a lot of contractions! I hope you have been able to rest this afternoon. I am so fatigued, my eyes hurt and I feel like I could sleep for days. 60% effaced is exciting! Sounds like it will be soon. You know, it is surreal to me that we will having babies here in a couple of weeks. It blows my mind that I will be a mommy to 3!! My maternity clothes have gotten too small! I think I should just go to bed now and wake up when it is over!! Think you will do this again?

I am so sorry you are having problems with your hips and back. Sounds like you have had some rough pain. We are so close, but when you are miserable it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am okay, I thought I was doing great, till the dr said I had hypertension. I have had several tests run this week. I have not heard anything yet - should by tomorrow. But I was told to be prepared for induction. So yes, I have been nesting like crazy. My daughter has been helping me too, it is so special. In a way I would love for them to go ahead and induce me, but afterwards I would have to go on magnesium sulfate treatments for 24 hours, and I was told I would be very ill during this time. I don't know what that would mean for breast feeding, so i am a little freaked out. We'll see, but I had a feeling that something was going on with my BP. Are you having increased pressure in your vagina? Mine has gotten to where it feels like the baby is pinching me down in there - not pleasant. They did not check my cervix at this weeks visit, I was a little disappointed. They did do an ultrasound to make sure she was head down, and that is when the U/S tech told me she was way down in my cervix. Hope you can get some sleep tonight.

I have 4 songs by the artist "Plumb"......she's a christian artist that makes amazing songs for her children. :) I don't know which one you are refering to because I have them on shuffle mix. They are called "In my Arms", "Always", "Me", and "God will take care of you"......everyone likes the 1st one I mentioned so probably that one. If you go onto my page and look at the bear you can see the name it's just really small....change the song if it's not the one you mentioned. :) I love her songs also....."Me" makes me cry when I hold my daughter...ha. :)

Hi! Sorry, I have not been on here in a few days. I have had a sinus infection, then I find out I am mildy pre-eclampsic (sp?). I may have to be induced any day because of my BP , so I have been struggling to get to the point to where I feel like I can have a baby! It is all happening so fast. I have already had blood drawn ywice this week and have done a 24 hour urine collection.
I am sorry to hear about your hip, I hope the adjustments help ease the pain. It sucks here at the end when sleep would be so precious to help us get prepared for what is ahead, and sleeping is so uncomfortable.
Are you dialating yet? My baby finally dropped! They did an ultrasound this week to make sure she is head down and they said she has hair! I couldn't tell, but I guess they know what they are looking at. Jack and Grace were bald from birth till their first birthday.
One of my favorite champagnes is "J". It is a Russian River Valley Brut. It is really yummy and not too expensive. My husband is supposed to be choosing a birth wine for the baby. We have them for Jack and Grace too. We buy a bottle of this years vintage and save it for their 18th b-days. Are you nesting yet? I am supposed to go to work tomorrow, but think I may make it a short day. I have way to much to do!

Yeah, I know how you feel about those exams! My doctor rams his hand up there with no hesitation! I feel fluttering and scraping... sometimes pushing and tons pressure! My tailbone hurts, but more my pelvis and groin. It is super difficult to walk, and my groin hurts so much! I have had really bad cramps lately, like I'm going to get my period... And today, at the height of the cramps, I lost more mucus plug. So, I think the groin pain, along with the scraping, is me becoming more dilated/effaced... I hope to find out again on Thursday when I see the dr. I don't know if he will do exams every week until delivery?? Tell me about your symptoms :) What do you feel? Oh, and checking your own cervix? I can't even reach down there very well! Nevermind be able to stick my hand that far into me! That's a little bit of crazy right there... So, what are you feeling?

Thanks for the photo compliment. I'm glad I got them done. Eyes healed up pretty good. The scars are still red, but at least my eyes look better and I can wear eyeshadow. I just made my hospital tour appt. today for the 9th. I hope he doesn't come before then!!!

Tell me about it! I love being pregnant, but I sure miss feeling sexy. 36 weeks and still no stretchies! Hope I'm not one of them that gets them at 39 weeks. :-( Yep, sushi is on my list too! I wonder which of our babies will come first. I've had no contractions thus far so I have no idea what a BH feels like. I just started feeling pressure down there today. He must have started his descent. My hips started feeling a little funny recently. Not painful at all, but different. I can't believe how much my butt starts to hurt when I'm up for long. Not sure if it's sciatica or not. It's local to that one area and doesn't shoot down into the leg. I was so active and healthy before, I thought I'd be invincible until the end. NOT! Other than swelling and my butt, I am fine though. Oh, me too, I despise clutter, but I do smile when I walk by and see the swing, bouncer, stroller, etc. I bet it never gets old, huh? Even on your third? I want to cherish every moment, good and bad, with my one and only.

How's it going? I'm still working away and trying to prepare for Jr. Just washing his clothes today, putting up the wainscoat in his room and putting together the crib, etc. My colors are tan (base color of the entire house) and pastel green and the theme is animals. I hope to have pics up by Tuesday. I'm at 21 pounds too. I think we're doing pretty darn good, huh? I wonder how much this last month will put on me. If I don't go above 25, I'll be ecstatic, but 30 is what I really do not want to hit. We still need to get a carseat. I mentioned to Kevin about an appt. with CHP and he said "I know what I'm doing!" Ok, fine!! :-) I'm still doing great, outside of working what seems to be around the clock. Is the next 4 weeks going to be the most difficult? I have my next prenatal on Tuesday where she'll perform an ultrasound too. I can't wait to see how he's going, weighing, positioned, etc.

Getting nervous, excited, SCARED TO DEATH! Not really, but know our lives are about to change so dramatically. I think I'm most excited to see what this little guy looks like and how big he is (cause he's killing me!). I can't believe it's only 3 days and I still have a ton of things to get done and ready before being "out of commission" for awhile. Was a little nervous earlier at my daughter's soccer game, stomach was tight for a long while and almost painfully so - different from the BH I've been having. Thank goodness it stopped after awhile but the baby is moving tonight a lot and it really is hurting. I hope not to go any earlier than Tuesday - tomorrow is my hubby's birthday and I want to enjoy his day first.

Don't know if I told you my final weight gain total was 23 lbs. which was the least of all 3 pregnancies. I hope that means it will all disappear within a few weeks. Although with all the junk food eating I plan to do now that the GD will be gone, maybe I'll be gaining more!

Hope all is well with you - enjoy these last few weeks, they seemed to go the absolute fastest for me. I will post again as soon as I can!!!

Is that when you go back in again, in 2 weeks? If you see your dr before then, just ask for an internal exam. Tell him you've had some feelings down there and you'd like to know if they can validate what you're feeling. My first internal exam was 3 weeks before what it should it have been, and only because I told the dr that it was getting more difficult for me to do my kegel exercises. When he checked me (then) he said that the baby had just started to drop, but that I wasn't effaced or dilated. Thursday when I saw him, I told him that the hospital checked me on Monday and that they said I was -2, 80-90% and almost 1cm... So he decided to see if the hospital was right, and I was already further along... So when you go in again, which should be this week, (aren't you on every week visits now?) just ask to be checked. They typically won't tell you no. And as for your plug, you will KNOW when you see it. You may have already lost yours if you are already dilated... It typically comes out with dilation. :) Hope your hips feel better!!!

I lost my plug over a course of 3 or 4 days. Discharge is typically thin and wet... Plug is like a jelly... Kind of solid, but still runny, like raw egg yolk, only stickier... Like it would stick to something and hang there like slime :) How's that description?! HA!
