This is my first pregnancy and I am nervous about it all. We started trying as soon as I was married in September and we were pregnant by the second cycle. I don't have much experience with babies and hope I can learn all I need to know by the time this one arrives!

20 Weeks

I had my ultrasound a couple days ago and found out we are having a boy. He was looking very normal and healthy and I couldn't be happier. I am so excited and looking forward to meeting my 'little fish' (our surname has fish in it and it is my husband's nickname) in another 20 weeks or so.

23 Weeks

Getting a really big belly and feeling so many kicks this week from my little fish. I'm depressed though that I can't fully enjoy my pregnancy because I've been so worried about having lost my full time job and therefore worried about finances. I'll try to post up a new belly photo soon. I certainly am already in love with my little boy and hope his mum can be a bit more happy and confident by the time he is born.

I must recommend an excellent book for caring for babies, all the practical things you really need to know, it's called "Kid Wrangling" by Kaz Cooke.

31 Weeks

Getting big and slow now and the little fish is constantly moving and kicking and poking. I had another gestational diabetes test this morning as blood sugar is high. Find out soon. Started hospital birth classes and found that really good and informative. Looking forward to next week's class. Less than 9 weeks to go and being both anxious and excited.

ha ha ha i'd already been told ref the passing of stools (get my less technical term than yours) when pushing!! Yuck im stressiing about that - my bloke would be mortified!! possibly a good idead to have an indian before hand to clear out the system! if only we knew when they were going to arrive so we could be prepared.
When i was in Oz think it was 03/04 they have droght warnings then (on gold coast), its a nightmare 40 degrees is ridiculous how can you cope, im so used to cold weather, our weather is still freezing NO snow now know, but usually in March espcially at the end it perks up and gets ready for Spring and it normally mild, weather is all f**ked up i tell ya. Right off to add you to face book Shaz

I laughed when I read your comment about the baby kicking the cat when he lays on your stomach. My little kitty loves to lay on my tummy since I have been pregnant. I always say, 'Oh, you're laying by your sister again!' I always wonder if he can hear or feel the baby!

thank you.Off shopping for as long as my elephant feet allow me on Sat so will look out for the book.Need to start reading up on something, i keep meaning to but then think 'ah well i'll do it later' before you know it tiny tot could be hear, i mean realistically we / anyone could have baby early, so it could only be 3 months left not 4! my mums convinced that im not gonna go full term with all my ailments. feet are getting worse, dreading to see what they'll be like by week 30+ which is when feet swelling normally starts. been feeling proper kicks from Zane all week now and i love it, not sure how much i'll love it in the coming weeks when they go none stop and through the night! but for now its a novelty and i find it funny. in a way im glad ive not felt the kicks till now, some/most people especially when its there 2nd/3rd etc child feel it from week 12! my friend did and she was demented by week 20!! so at least i should become demented by around week 32 and by then he'll be getting so big they kick less as dont have a much room to move, hope my theory is correct.
So whats hubby doing to celebrate meeting you? you best make sure he has something nice planned you are after all carrying him child - ha ha ha ha Eeee we can get away with murder whilst our babies are in our internal homes!.
Look after ya self, off to the job from hell (my new place - very stressful and a nightmare at the moment) but its friday last work day then its weekend!
