"sometimes miracles arrive
so tiny that we cannot feel
the weight of them –
and yet we are still changed,
and we are blessed none the less…"

Hello ladies. My name is Sara. My husband and I are from Massachusetts. I'll tell you about my story. In February 2008 we decided that we were going to begin the TTC journey. The week of Valentine's Day was my ovulation week. On March 2nd AF never showed! I went to the store to buy a pregnancy test because I am NEVER late with AF! I ended up taking three tests, 2 regular and one digital. To my surprise they were all positive! I couldn't believe it! We only BD'd twice and I was pregnant! All the signs were there but I was in denial. I had nausea, temps of 99.0, very tired.

On March 31, 2008 I went for my 8 week ultrasound. Immediately I knew something was wrong. I watched the sonogram screen and there was an empty sac! I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum. They said that there may have been a baby early on, but that my body may have reabsorbed it because there was something wrong during cell division. I was in complete shock and I just started crying! After that I met with a midwife and she pretty much told me to go home and "let things happen naturally" . She told me to come back in one week so that they could do one more ultrasound just to confirm the blighted ovum. I went back one week later and things were still the same. Sac grew slightly larger, still no bleeding or cramping and of course still no baby. I met with a doctor after the ultrasound. He was wonderful! Very empathetic and personable unlike the midwife. He asked me what I wanted to do and I told him that I wanted a D&C. He agreed that the D&C was my best option. He told me that he doesn't like to prescribe women the pill and he told me that miscarrying natural isn't always the best thing to go through. I had the D&C on April 11, 2008. I was very scared but everything went really well and I am glad that I made that choice. The doctors told me to wait for two AF's and then I can start TTC again. So here I am, going crazy and waiting for the first AF to show...today is May 3, 2008.

The loss of this pregnancy has made me a much stronger person. I believe that all things happen for a reason, whether good or bad. These things are what makes me who I am today. I know that I will be a mother one day and when that day comes I will be so thankful! This has made me look at life in a different light. Babies are miracles. So here is my update. Little Molly is still breech so my Dr is going to put me in the schedule for a C section for 2 weeks from today. Oct 29th at 8 or 10am. If both times are taken, I will choose another day. So for the next 2 weeks I will try everything I can to get her to turn and if she stays breech than we will just go for the c section. I don't want to have to worry about anything else, like an inversion and more pain etc. Now I can just try to enjoy the last two weeks of life with just the 2 of us. Unless she decides to come earlier. So thats it for now, I will hear by friday as to what date and time we will meet our little princess. Thanks everyone!

Hi Girls! I need some advice. My baby is still breech at 37 weeks and I need to make a decision by tomorrow as to what I'm going to do. Have a C section or try the inversion which is not pleasant and could end in a c section anyway. Its such a hard decision. I feel like I will be missing out on a natural birth by not trying but it seems safer to go with the C section for me and the baby. And I guess it would be nice to skip the labor part! Its all I can think about and I loose sleep over it. Anyone going through the same thing?
Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for babies!!!!!
