Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sunday, 18 May So are you all set for tomorrow morning? Hubby and I are still running around getting odds and ends together - or I should say HE is doing it all....I am sitting on the couch feeling exhausted and achy. I am sure I will not be able to sleep tonight......but right now tomorrow morning's inducement still feels YEARS away for me. Anyway, Good Luck tomorrow and many wishes for a speedy and pain-free (as much as that is possible) healthy delivery! JES76 -
Saturday, 17 May Cool - we are getting induced on the same day. Hopefully it will be quick and relatively painless for both of us! I am very excited but also pretty nervous and scared as well. I feel the same way as you and really, really, REALLY do not want a c-section. My Dr thinks if I go to my due date I will be more likely to need a c-section than if I am induced on Monday, but you never know. I am not really scared of the pain (will be going for an epidural as soon as possible) but just worried about the baby being OK, there not being any complications, etc, etc. My husband and I are trying to spend this weekend doing the final odds and ends around the house and trying to spend as much alone time together as possible. But I am so uncomfortable and miserable I don't think I am much fun at the moment! Well I wish you the best of luck on Monday! JES76 -
Friday, 16 May Hi! I am getting induced next week as well - Monday morning at 7:00 am (unless all the L&D rooms are packed). I had my final prenatal check-up yesterday and my Dr said it could take up to 24 hours for the baby to be born. My cervix is effacing (around 60%) but I am not dilating yet so they are going to have to insert this gel to finish ripening my cervix and then they will put me on pitocin to start contractions. Some people have said pitocin induced contractions are more intense and painful but I have also read that if the medication if dispensed properly there is no real difference. Also they say the risk of a c-section is increased cause if the induction does not work but the contractions stress the baby they may have to do an emergency c-section. I am having to be induced cause the baby is measuring pretty big and the placenta seems to be aging a bit faster than it should. My husband wishes I would wait for natural labor, but if I waited I would have to go ino for daily fetal monitoring and that would completely stress me out! When are you being induced? 1sttimemommy2be -

Thursday, 1 May hi there.. I just wanted to comment on your post from earlier. Someone else mentioned the poopy diaper game-- its a good game. Its funny to see people looking really hard to determine what kind of candy bar is in the diaper when it looks like poop. As far as the hospital bag goes, you can find a list on here if you go under pregnancy, then packing for hospital I think it is. I put gowns that button in front, a pair of pajamas, 4 pair of granny panties, some kotex, reading material, snacks, slippers, toiletries/makeup, camera/charger, warm socks, nursing bras/pads, hair tie, shoes for the shower, hardy candy to suck on, spare change for vending machines, and a can of dermaplast (some of the girls on here recommended it). Also don't forget your going home outfit. good luck in packing! azmommytobe -
Thursday, 1 May We had 3 games at our shower. The diaper one already mentioned, the "My water broke" and "count the jelly beans".
For the "my water broke" it was a relay race with everyone having a water balloon between thier knees and running to the finish line. The jelly bean one was a baby bottle filled with beans and guests had to guess how many were in there. Hope this helps and have fun!
