Since I have PCOS, it took us 5 years to get to this point. We are very happy and I still cannot believe that I am pregnant!!!

Sixteen weeks pregnant today (1/10/08)! Go to the Dr. on 17th so I am hoping we can see if it is a girl or boy!

1/17/08- Went to the Dr today, heard the heart beat 153bpm, but no US. We will have to wait until 02/21/08 to see if we are having a girl or boy! Can't wait!

1/23/08- Eighteen Weeks Tomorrow!! Second day of all day headaches, but I can take it as long as my lil peanut is doing ok. Hopefully I can get more sleep tonight, kinda hard with having to pee ever few hours and my husband's snoring, lol.

2/3/08- 19 1/2 weeks, feeling the baby move all alot today. Guess the baby likes the music at church, lol. Cant wait until u/s. I have a feeling its a boy!

2/19/08- 21 1/2 weeks pregnant! Cant believe it is going so fast. 2 days until the big u/s. Cant wait!

2/21/08-- ITS A GIRL! 13oz & perfect.!

.

2/28/08- 23 weeks, Chloe was kicking all night, last night was the 1st time that hubby felt her move. He loved it!

3/12/08- 24 weeks, Chloe is such a night owl. She moves and kicks me all night. Eating a lot more now, think I have gained at least 5lbs since last Dr appt. lol

3/20/08- 26 weeks, Went to Dr appt, gained 6lbs. Only 3 months to go! It seems like it is going by so quick. Almost done with Chloe's room. Starting to get the dreaded stretch marks, but it dosen't matter to me. I love that my belly is starting to grow and others can now tell that I am pregnant.

4/3/08- 28 weeks, For the past few days my back has been aching. I bought a heating pad and use it to sleep at night. My belly is getting so big. Chloe is moving so much and loves to kick me in the ribs. I go next week for my sugar test. I hope everything will be ok. Got 4 more stretch marks but I dont care. Hubby is just starting to get nervous about the birth. I know he will be a great dad!

4/24/08- 31 weeks, Went for checkup today, gained 1/2 lb. Heartrate was 147. Passed by sugar test! Chloe is getting so big. Can't wait for here to get here! I love her so much all ready!

5/10/08- 33 weeks, Can't wait to stop working, I am so sleepy and have to drag myself out of bed each morning. Chloe is getting so big and so is my belly & stretch marks. She kicks so hard now that she makes my belly move. Hubby can feel her all the time now. Her room is all ready. Only a few more weeks now!

Thank you so much! I'm so excited and scared. just want to make it to week 14 and then I'll feel relieved. Saw the heartbeat. too early to hear it but that was reassuring. And how are you doing? Almost there!

I didn't poop when I had my chloe... but if you do poop it will be the last thing your husband will be grossed out by. The nastiest thing is the placenta. Go to you tube and check it out... TOTALLY NASTY!

CCQ - Wednesday, 23 April
I am worried about the pooping, the cathater, needing an episiotomy, ending up with a c-section, and of course something being wrong with my baby. My husband will probably laugh if I poop but he says he will be there simply to please and comfort me. Maybe we won't have an complications. I have really got to quit watching all the labor and delivery shows on tv. :)

Hey girl, I agree with Tangerina, i was hysterical about the poop and getting cut. However I went into normal labor at home (thank God) and just had to go and go and go, don't you love the TMI you get on these things.... I asked my hubby if I was not correct in labor and delivery and he said no, but he also said that there are certain things that shifted, grew and changed that thew him off, lol!! ( and no cuts either!)

hi!! your comment about the poop made me laugh!! i was scared about that too.. but i learned in my bradley class that in the majority of natural birth cases, you do not poop.. because you can feel the baby's pressure on your rectum during labor and it will make you go to the bathroom.
so by the time you start pushing, you're either all empty or the baby's head has completely shut your rectum.
it is more common to poop when u get an epidural because you do not feel the pressure so you do not go to the bathroom before the pushing stage.. so it is more common to see this when an epidural is in place ;)

Everyone always over packs with their first. LOL.. I remember leaving the hospital and having to get a cart to carry all the stuff. Then with my second it was better and now I REALLY know what to take. Don't worry about taking much for the baby. The hospital supplies the diapers, wipes, and bottles (if not breastfeeding). You just need to bring a light blanket, and a couple outfits for her. Then for yourself bring your bathroom stuff, the hospital also supplies the pads which is nice since they are longer and thicker there. You will need a outfit for you to go home in something loose. And I always bring my own nursing gown just because the hospital ones are itchy and uncomfortable. LOL.. I hope this helps!

Don not be emabarrassed about hemrroids. It is just one of those wonderful perks and thatis what this site is for anyways, for us to talk about all the gross stuff goingo n with us.. I think I am starting to get one, but I am not sure. Sounds gross, but I will have to take a closer look when i get home. I did happen to read the hemrroids forum early on in my pregnancy about this just incase, and there was a really good post for easing the pain. It was getting a plastic glove. a throw away one, and filling the fingers with water and freezing it, then just sticking one of those fingers in the crack so that it can sooth the pain. Sounds kind of weird, but hey if I got one, that is exactly what I will be doing. I hope yours gets better. :)

Hi there, I have a cat and a dog, and we have come to the decision that the cat is going to live with my grandad before the baby arrives. The main reason for this are because if the stories regarding cats suffocating babies is true I'm just not willing to take the risk and advice about keeping doors etc shut is not practical when we are like zombies from lack of sleep with our new babies! On a hygeine front though I know it will be better for baby too as our cat goes wherever he wants in the house and his hairs get everywhere. I know I'll miss him, but I at the end of the day only your gut feeling about the situation is all that matters. You know whether it's managable/feasible for you or not. Good luck with your decision and keep in touch x x

ukdutypaid - Monday, 14 April
cats are wonderful, and they do things that they dont understand is wrong... now cats like pregnant women, they also like babys, cats can lie on babys chest at night, they dont know there doing something wrong, but obviously it can suffocate the baby. it likes the babys breathing, its calming for the cat. now u will get told by cat lovers that u can have both, but is it worth the risk, and of course u have the germs in the cat poo that can harm the unborn baby, aswell as the new baby. the toxins in the poo are very dangerous.
im not trying to scare you , but i know when u have a hard decision to make, its easier to be told the truth and not cotton wool the situation. dont ever feel bad... do u have a cat protection or even a animal shelter or a rescue place, they understand about babies and cats...good luck..

mizzhoney - Monday, 14 April
I've always heard bad things about cats and babies. Cats smothering babies or what some people call "sucking the babies breath" because they smell the milk. I don't know that any of that is true. They're most likely old wive's tales. I say make the best decision you can from what you know. Good Luck!

DonnaG - Monday, 14 April
My sister had 2 cats when she had her babies. I think that it's completely up to you. You just have to be careful of always keeping the baby's door closed so the cats don't go in and snuggle up to warm baby which could be dangerous (suffocating). And not changing their kitty litter while you are pregnant because of that disease you can get from cat poo! All the best with your decision and the rest of your pregnancy : )

I have one cat and no I am not giving it away. Do what you want we both know how annoying it is that everyone is telling us what we should do since they think we became stupid when we became pregnant, haha!!!

loveatfirstbump - Monday, 14 April
Hey! I have two adult cats, my parents own one. We are moving in to my parents home after the baby is born to save some money. Anywho, my mother nearly fainted when I reminded her that I'd be bringing my 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs and one VERY fury rabbit with us when we move in. The thought of giving any of them away brings me to tears. I plan to keep the rabbit and piggies in the backyard. As for all the cat hair, I'll just have to do some serious vacuming and dusting everyday. If the baby is allergic then I'll have to find the baby a new home. I hope not, I'd really like to keep the baby :-( Good luck with whatever you choose..it'll be hard either way.

lh0407 - Monday, 14 April
Hey. I have 2 house cats and we are going to keep them. If they start to cause problems for the baby then we will give them away but until we know we arent going to do anything.

Rachel918 - Monday, 14 April
Hey, I dont have a cat but have a one year old chocolate lab who can well be extremely crazy at times and has a personality of her own and thinks she is a human. I wouldnt get rid of her for anything she is my first baby and love her to death. My husband got her for me when my family dog of 13 years past away last march. My family though has been questioning things and doesnt know how she is going to act with the baby. But I know she will be fine she kisses my stomach all the time. Do you what you feel is best though, dont let others talk you into something if your not even sure about it yourself, if anything keep the cats until the baby is born see how things work out and if you cant adjust then decided. Good luck:)

Hey there, I had a cat with my kids and have 2 cats now that my third is on the way. I just trained them that bedrooms are off limits (used a squirt gun). My kitties are 8 and 9 and I have had no probs with cat hair because they know what their living areas are. Good luck!
