Hey girl, I bought mederma and OMG is it expensive. How often did r u using it? I followed the directions and had been applying it 3x a day. After the 4th day I got super itchy in the areas I applied, so I have stopped using it. I don't know if maybe I used it 2 much now. But I am still itchy and it sux cuz I gave up and scratch now.

Im was thinkin of doin laser surgery too but then i heard it doesnt work well with darker pigment skin. I too have been attacked by ugly really dark stretch marks..from under my butt to halfway thorough my thigh..then on the front of my upper thighs i look like a tiger attacked me. I can feel stretch marks at the bottom of my huge belly...and i can see some light marks travelling up to my navel..now this week i notice some shiny lookin marks above my navel. I gave up on my body..its highly depressing. I would never change it for the world because its all for my baby..but still after is all said and done i hate to think i will hate my body..worse..never get to year a bikini or shorts again!

The hospital should provide you some mesh panties that are awesomely comfortable. So you don't need to go buy anything, mess up what they give you not your own, maybe they can give you a few pair to use at home too, until the bleeding becomes bearable and more period like. I would recommend that you go to wal-mart and go to the pet section, they have indoor training mats for dogs, buy a pack of them, it's the same thing hospitals use under your butt for leaking fluids in the bed. You sleep with them on your bed and change them when you need to, and they also make for great changing pads for the baby. Save your bed. Hope this helps. Also buy some dermaplast, great stuff, if your hospital doesn't give you some you will definitely want it, it numbs your butt good and feels great and has a nice smell too. I would tell you not to forget to pack a razor for the hospital because if you have to get one of theirs, they don't cut anything. Cameras, make-up, bathroom hygeine things, socks or slippers, maybe a pair of your own night clothes for comfort, diaper bag with baby's going home outfit and receiving blanket, car seat. Phone and camera charger cords. I can't think of anything else that you might need, everything else will be up to you with your necessities. Docs will provide your meds. Hope this helps and gives you a general idea.

That's how i felt with my last one.. I thought their date was off by i think a week or two, than he was a week past the doctors due date.. came out 9 pounds 2 ounces... I wish you luck.

Wow. I wonder why that have not been checking mine. I am going to ask that they check me when I go tomorrow. I tell ya you just can not always assume that what they are doing is right. I sure hope that the pills I have been taking have been keeping mine in line. Do you feel any different when yours is higher vs lower?

How do you know your iron is up? My dr checked me months ago and told me I was low and I was to take an iron supp. each day. I do but they have never checked me again. Does your dr check you at your visits?

It isnt even that you cant party with them anymore....you are now in a completly different pace than there are. I remember when I was 18 and my older cousins would have babyshowers....I just didnt get it at all!

Hey Stefani,

Just read your post about your shower--so sorry to hear that. I wanted to share with you my experience because you may be going through something similar. When I had my first son, all my friends changed. Girls that I thought were my best friends disappeared because I could no longer go out with them, or they didn't want to deal with me having my own problems for once, or whatever. Other friends of mine that I didn't think I was that close to really stepped up and were there for me. Friends I never realized were such wonderful people. There are going to be so many changes in your life now and your friendships might change too. The key is too surround yourself with people who love and support both you and your child and cut loose the people who don't. If your friends didn't come to your shower, you should not take it personal at all. It might just be that they are not ready to support a friend through pregnancy like so many of my former friends. It was so hard for me at the time, but now I look back and it was all for the best. I would not take it back for the world because now I really know who my friends are and all my friends are incredible, supportive women!
