Hey, nothing here yet!

Thursday, 20 Mar
Hello to all the Girls. On Tuesday nite I lost the `Battle for Baby`. I began cramping after supper and showered to dull the pain. I started to pass large golfball size clots and then the placenta fell out. Blood began to run then pour out. I sat on the toilet for half an hour trying to wait it out. It wouldn`t stop so we called the ambulance. 2 of them showed up and a fire truck. A bit of overkill don`t you think? I soaked thru 3 bed pads & blood pressure had dropped. Passed alot of clots and bleeding slowed around 1am. Ultrasound in the morning showed most material had passed and no need to D&C for fear of scaring. Sent home with antibiotics and Doc`s confirmed blood levels were too low to have likely been a baby so it was assumed Blighted Ovum. Resting now and off until Monday returning to work. I`d like to thank you all for your support, with special mention to Laura & Lisa. All your kindness and correspondance has meant alot to me as you were the ones I shared my experience with and you let me into your lives. Its funny how people you don`t know that are half a world away become `Sisters in Motherhood`. Thank you for reaching out to me and being there when I had no one else to talk to. I hope for all the very best in your pregnancies and know this will be a wonderful time in your lives. My thoughts are with all of you as I sign off for a little while. My husband and I will heal and try one last time after waiting 3 months to get back to normal. Then we are going to throw in the towel. I may let him get a cat. He loves cats. I will miss you and wish good things for you all! xx Sue
