More.... Hello everyone! My name is Summer and my husbands name is Charlie. I have polycystic ovarian disease and was having a hard time getting pregnant. We had been seeing a fertility specialist for about a year, when I finally got pregnant. I had a miscarriage in June at 9 weeks. It was heartbreaking. When they gave us the ok to try again, I got pregnant right away. Now I am 15 weeks with this little one. I have been very nervous this time around, keeping my fingers crossed & lots of prayers! We will have our next ultrasound on Dec 26 to find out if this is a boy or a girl! I am so excited. I had been feeling the baby last week, for the first time..but not this week. We have a girls name picked out but cannot come up with a boys name at all. We are very happy about this baby and it is loved very much!
12-26-07: I had my anatomy ultrasound this morning and it was amazing!! She took lots of measurements of the little baby... Measuring the head, the leg bones, arm bones, and looking at the hands and feet. The little one weighs 7oz! They said my due date is May 26, which will put me one week ahead of where we originally thought. But looks like its a little chubby one :) The baby was moving all around and the lady had to chase her around to get the measurements she needed! The ultrasound tech said the baby had its feet tight together and she tried and tried but could not get a view, to see if it was a boy or a girl. She let me go pee and she tried one more time............... ITS A GIRL!!
We had the second part of our anatomy u/s on Friday Feb 1, 2008. As soon as she got a look at the baby, the lady asked "what did they say you were having??" I said A GIRL!! ...she said "NOPE , these are definite boy parts!" I think my hubby and I both had to lift our jaws off of the ground. total shock! During the last u/s the baby had its feet together and would not move for her to get a clear view..but this time, the baby had its legs open and it was clear. When the Dr came in to review the u/s with us, he was laughing and said "something grew!" HA! We have NO idea on boy names. We are just so happy its a healthy baby.
ITS A BOY!!
2-21-08 I signed up for my child birth classes & I am so excited! It was so funny after I called and got all registered, I talked to my mom and told her. She asked when they started and I said March 3. She said oh wow thats next week! And all of the sudden it hit me that this baby is coming SOON! I kinda knew that but I guess it just hit me like a ton of bricks at that moment! HA. As far as the baby, he is kicking and wiggling all around. I tell my hubby that I think he is doing some kind of martial arts in there! I feel most of the kicks down very low in my pelvis, so I think he is breech (at least for now) Im sure he will turn at some point. I can lay on my back and see my belly move when he kicks me. IT IS SO NEAT! I am getting more and more excited every day. We still have NO names for this little boy. Girl names were easy, but boy names have us drawing a blank! Im sure we will come up with something. I hope anyway!!
04-18-08 Today I had another ultrasound to see how much this little baby boy is weighing now. My last u/s the Dr estimated him to be born weighing 10 pounds WOW! So my new Dr wanted to see the baby and see his position. I was SO nervous for this one for some reason. I was SO happy to see him. The u/s tech took all his measurements and looked at his organs...everything looks great! He is in the head down, fetal position. He has hair! and this week at 34 weeks he was weighing 5 lbs 6 oz. He is perfect and I cant wait to see him and hold him... counting down the days!! Oh, and we have finally picked out a name..... Nathan Cole.
4-30-08 today was the first of my weekly dr visits. They did my strep b test & I have to wait 48 hours for those results.. They checked my cervix and I am 50% effaced, and 2 cm dilated! I was so happy to hear that something is going on down there! I woke up this morning with a few contractions, but nothing regular or major. I have been having so much pain in my hips and pressure down low in my vagina & bottom. They said its normal and just where the baby has dropped and is pushing down. But I am having a hard time walking! I am so ready for this little boy to be born :)
