This is my first attempt at writing on this thing. My family doesn `t even know I `m expecting yet. I `m waiting until I get a little further along before I spread the good news. This is such an unexpected surprise, Father to be and I are still trying to get it to sink in. But congrats to all the other mommi `s and daddy `s to-be! I pray for healty and happy pregnancies!!!

Hello Mommies,Today is not a good day for me. I `m really sick today. I dunno what is different, yesterday and night I felt great, but today I just want to lay down and not be bothered by anything or anyone. I hope you all are doing well, this is my last day at 7 weeks. I `ll be 8 tomorrow. This is so EXCITING!!!

We had our first appt. today. they just confirmed the pregnancy and took some blood, poked and prodded. Over all I am in good condition (better be I was training for a marathon up until the point I found out I was preggers). So we go back March 19th for our first Ultra sound. That is 3 days after my birthday so that will be a nice belated gift for me. I `ve been feeling good lately, I feel great when I `m with father to be, he makes me feel safe and I feel so smitten with him, I dunno if its the hormones or the way I really feel about him, I `ve always been crazy about him but this is a little ridiculous. Well I hope all you mommies are feeling well and if you aren `t hold out, before you know it we `ll be at week 12 and the fun parts start. God Bless!!

So, I had my first real weeping session today. I haven `t gotten to see Noah all week except for a few minutes last night. Today I wanted to see him and spend some time with him because he `ll be gone this weekend, and he tells me not tonight. I must have cried for 15 minutes. I wish I didn `t feel this way. I want to be around him constantly, and I want him to take an active part in what is going on with me early. I was really hurt, and now I feel like I `m not going to ask to spend time with him in fear of him saying no. That was the worst ever, I normally wouldn `t have reacted taht way, I know its the hormones. I probably would be out with my friends anyway under normal circumstances. Noah is all I have because my friends have seemingly abandoned me and so has he. So I `m gonna go to sleep and hopefully be in a better mood upon waking up.

So, yesterday I got to hear my little beans heartbeat. 162 beats per minute. They say that is pretty fast and sounds like a girl. I was hoping for a boy. It was the most amazing thing to go from hearing my heartbeat to hearing that frantic but VERY SRONG heartbeat. I had to go to the emergency room because my dog pulled me down the stairs, so it was a huge relief to hear that my baby was still ticking and kicking. I `ve never felt anything like that before. I `ll never forget it as long as I live.

One of my friends always refuses to tell anyone what she's going to name her kids until they are actually born and sometimes it's irritating but now I know why. What a bitch to outright steal your name! I would be concocting some kind of revenge plan!

Hi, read your blog in wk 39. Well, under the circumstances, I would be sensitive also. But, look at it this way....she thought the name that you though of is a unique name and wanted also. It is strange that she would take the whole name. I would focus on you and your baby and the importance of that name for you. Is this person in your area of living? If not just go on and take it as a complement. Your daughters name will be hers only and most likely she will not meet this other person in her life time. But then again if she did, she might think it is cool that she is not alone in having such a cool name. My name is Sharra Lynn and when I got older I met a women that had my whole name and I was happy.....I was not alone. I would distance myself from this other mom on the web and focus on your birth and daughter-this is what is important.
I do undertand though. Relax...this will help also.

She was 7lbs 4 oz 19 in long. thank u for the well wishes we're both doing great, just trying to survive breast feeding

You know...increased energy like that is a progression to labor. If you have more energy, send it my way...I have sliding door tracks and windows that are in bad shape. That gives me the idea to do them today! You are so inspiring! Labor dust to you.

Hey, I had my membranes stripped last week. It just kind of makes your mucous plug dislodge- it is totally safe and will only make your labor progress if your body has already started to anyway. To me, it DID hurt though (like when they check your cervix only 10X worse) but some people say it doesn't hurt too bad. It definitely will NOT lead to a c-section though- it will either help your labor move forward or do nothing. :) Good luck

i had my membranes swept with both of my other babies and labor went fine with both of them. One of the labors was long 15 1/2 hours and the other was only 3 and a half but they were both born naturally and healthy

Yes, getting your membranes stripped is safe. It is like if your husband took his fingers and brushed up against your cervix-very easy and some what painful though. I am not sure what happened with what you heard, but a c-section would have to do with other issues, like the baby is stressed or could not fit, ect. Don't worry-get it done. It did not work for me with my first, but i am getting it done on Thursday if Dr suggests. You, know the baby sends off a hormone to come into the world, not your body. So, it is up to the baby when they want to come. Good luck. Labor dust to you!

hi I had my membranes sweeped on Saturday ... I'm still waiting for something to happen .... I've heard lots of people have had it done on here and I haven't heard a bad story yet ... if you're at all worried speak to your doc or midwife who will be more than happy to discuss it with you I'm sure :)

Oh Im not sure about the pitocin being given due to a sweep.. so far from the ladies on here, I havent heard them mentioned having to get the pit from it. I would just do some research on the net and see what you find.. on how safe it is and what the disadvantages and advantages are. I didnt need to get pitcin during labor after the sweep.

I had my membranes swept 5 days before going into labor. I dont see what would be unsafe about it? When my doc did it, it just felt like an internal exam just a little more rough. It actually didnt put me straight into labor like it does for some women but I did start getting a bloody show about 2 days later. My doc said it will only work if your baby is ready.. so its like a 50/50 thing. Also if it works it usually happens up to 48 hours or so. Maybe do some research on it if you arent sure if you want to get it done.

I am doing fine just trying to conserve gas! My girlfriend who lives in Weddington who is ready to pop any day now has 2 cars and only one has gas and they have no gas in their area therefore they are conserving the one car when she goes into labor!Oh hopefully I will find out what I am having this week!
