Im so nervous about not getting pregnant, I feel like everyone around be gets pregnant so fast, but me. Let me know any advice, wish me luck, and good luck to all of you!

Starting to show now, I gained 13lb so far, yuk I hate gaining weight, because it doesnt come off easy for me and I gain everywhere, my legs, arms, Im pretty proportional when it comes to weight gain. The baby has been lazy lately,, must be going through a growth spurt... cant wait for her to be here.. saturday I will be 23 weeks :)

yesterday I went to labor in delivery for increase vaginal discharge. The doctor was worried for amnion leakage. So the Dr. did a pelvic exam, used stripes to test for fluid, and one under the microscope. It was just vaginal discharge, thank god. They had me on the monitor for the entire time. Tested my urine, and did an ultrasound to check for fluids. Me and the baby were healthy.. Thank god :)

so its been a week today since she started her meds. She really seems to be doing better. She got her shots yesterday but the doc wants us to come back next week to weigh her again b/c she hasnt gained any weight (actually lost 2 oz) since shes been in the hospital. Seeing that shes eating good (3oz of breastmilk every 3 hours) she should be gaining weight. If she hasnt gained enough next week we are going to be seeing a GI specialist. Hopefully we wont have to though. I'm ready for all this to be over and her get better! So I'm wondering if shes doing good b/c she is still lethargic from her shots or if she really is starting to get better b/c of the meds! I'm going to give her some rice cereal tonight, slowly introduce it to her again. How is Maja?

HEY GIRL! Long time no talk. I was browsing through the GERD forum and saw your baby girl has the reflux too. THIS IS HELL!!!!!!!!!! Gracie has it bad. She was in the hospital last week for three days b/c of it. I'm at my wits end and dont know what to do anymore. Right now I'm pumping but I'm starting to think she has a milk allergy too? I'm thinking about starting her on soy..i have the similac kind right now that I might try. What all have you done that has worked? Gracie is on reglan and zantac since Friday and so far its not really making much of a difference. I wonder how long it takes to work?

Gosh, its so hard to tell if the Prevacid worked better than the Zantac. He was really bad, spitting up a ton and really unconfortable when on the Zantac, then we started the Prevacid, but shortly thereafter, we started the Emfamil A/R and it was like a miracle. He was soooo much happier and didn't spit up at all. (I tried it because you said your baby was doing well on it) I don't know if it was the A/R or the Prevacid or both that made him feel better. Then, we decided to try the regular Emfamil because the A/R was clumping and clogging the nipple. Its only been a couple of days but he seems to be handling it well. We've been adding a little rice cereal to it too. I don't know, its so challenging. I am sorry that your little girl is having such a hard time, again.... My baby is about three and a half months old and I'm hoping that he is getting to the end of this. People keep telling me that pretty soon, I won't even remember this...I hope they are right.

Oh that's pretty cool that you live in Franklin park because I head over that way a lot. If you want I can meet you somewhere in the next few days and give em to you. Do you know where the Oasis is off of 294 before Irving Park?

Yeah i read that that's all it does. I went and got a second opinion, and the doctor told me to not give him the medication anymore and that yes he might have silent reflux, but it's not to the point where he is like some babies where they just cry in pain, etc. He just needs the small frequent meals. My concern is that he just won't eat every 2 hours. Because I do 3 oz every 2 hours now, and sometimes he cant eat in 2 hours he would still be full. I just don't know. I'm going to give it one more week with adjusting to this schedule, and then we go back to the doctors, and if nothing works or if hes losing weight, we will probobly get him back on the meds. Thansk for your opinion. :)

Poor thing, I am sure the cold has a lot to do with it. Addy just got put on zantaz .75 ml 2x a day. I feel so bad for these little peanuits, I have had acid reflux and it hurts! I hope your little one is feeling better and taking more ounces, hopefully they will grow out of this. Oh and being tired... I know how you feel! I thank the high heavens when I get a consecutive 4 hours of sleep at night! I hope soon she will sleep a little more throughout the night-

Hi Suzi! I remembered you from having the same due date. Well Morgan came early and and we are going through probably the same issues. She has reflux and is of course colic!!! It has been so hard. She is just coming around. After switching her formula a couple times she is now on Nutramigan and zantac. She is doing better. What has been going on w/ your new addition. I came across you in looking up about relux lol.

pawsitvemama - Wednesday, 28 May
How is your little one doing with the reflux? I think my little girl has it. I feel so bad latley she has been so uncomfortable and irritable while feeding. she sucks for a brief period then crys flaring all over, she is eating less and less and is spitting up sometimes puking non stop. Doctors tommorrow. I hope they can help her....

Is your daughter still doing well on the Emfamil AR? We've been thickening the formula with rice cereal, it seemed to work for a couple of days but now, all hell has broken loose. When you took your daughter to the GI doc, did they do a bunch of invasive tests?

cko1522 - Wednesday, 21 May
Thanks for letting me know about the thicker formula. I thought the rice cereal and Prevacid were doing the trick, now I'm not so sure. He's had a terrible yesterday and morning today. I may go get some of the Emfamil AR and see if that does the trick. I just hate to keep switching him. Anyway, I am so glad your little one is feeling better. Hopefully it will keep up. :)

How's your daughter doing with the zantac? The prilosec has been working a bit better for my son.

Maddux - Friday, 16 May
My little girl is on Zantac too, I feel for you. How is she doing on the formula? I am breastfeeding right now but will have to switch over to formula at the end of the summer. Is the Zantac helping? What dose is she on? My daughter is only taking .3 ml three times a day and I don't think that is enough to really help.

If I were you I'd sell them on ebay. You can get a lot more for thm there. I just looked for you. Here's the link. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&sax=enfamil+nutramigen&category0=

Hi,

Thanks, : )

We just started the Prevacid last night. They said to give it at least 5 days to see the effects. He's had a really rough morning. Hoping things get better soon.

niseybear - Wednesday, 14 May
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with your little one. I hope you work it out soon. Take care.

cko1522 - Wednesday, 14 May
My son is on a milk based Target brand formula. We've asked if we should switch him but the doctors don't seem to think so yet. I don't know, if we switch, that would suck because my mom just bought us 5 cans and we can't really afford Similac. Where I'm from, its $30 a can. But the doctor said the Target stuff is essentially the same stuff but its half the price. I don't know...I'm thinking we should switch him. Is your daughter on a special formula?
