6.25.08 Sebastian Matthew comes into the world!

OK GIRLS- Sebastian Matthew was born on June 25th at 8:18 am in Montgomery Alabama! Finally after pre-eclampsia nightmare, my sweet little man has arrived!

Hey girls! Congratulations, first and foremost on all you other pregnant Mom's to be out there! This is an exciting time for all involved with me as this little sweepod baby will be our first! I am so very happy to have found this site because you quickly realize you are not alone in all your good times and bad ones with being pregnant! Anyhow, if you want to share thoughts or comments on my page they are so very welcomed here! Best of luck to all of you and thanks for stopping by! :o)

Well I thought I would have made a lot of progress after my weekend of walking and sex and pain. NOPE! I found out today he is not even engaged. They did an ultrasound and he is a floating vertex (?) It means the dr could still push his head back and forth with her hands. I had badly inverted hips as a young child and I have a small pelvis. He doesn't even fit in the top part of my pelvis. There is no way he is coming out through my vagina. My pelvis also has a weird pancake shape which adds to the complications. I was concerned with my bad back too that I wouldn't be able to push him out. He just won't fit. So I scheduled a c section with my dr for next Monday, on his due date! My dr will deliver and the anesthesiologist that I have been to will be there to administer the block. He knows my back the best. I am excited to know that it will be over soon. If I happen to go into labor I will have a c section with whatever dr is there at the time. I don't think it will happen since my body hasn't progressed too far but you never know! I was trying to avoid a c section, we had known it was a possibility since I got pregnant. I am glad I won't go through 20hrs of labor, hours of pushing just to get one anyways. My body isn't made for a vaginal delivery. My sister in law is due tomorrow and I think she will ask to be induced at this point. Our little boys are going to be very close in age! I am excited for us both. YAY, and end in sight!

... I was actually just about to log in and ask about c- sections. I am so nervous. We have stairs and my bedroom and the shower are upstairs. We also have A LOT of family that will be coming over... although it's sweet that they want to see the baby I'm praying no one outstays their visit haha. OKay So I do have a couple questions for you.

What did you bring to wear home from the hospital? How long before you passed gas.. or even pooped? How was breastfeeding? What should I expect the pain to feel like when I'm recovering? thank you so much.

Thanks for the advise!! Do they give you these tips at the hospital or did you have to do your own research?
I agree that bottles are much easier, then my hubby can be more involved and help me. More freedom also.
So hows life with your little one? what you expected? Busy? My hubby loveees the name sabastian (sorry no good at spelling) I'm having a boy too and I would love to name him that for my hubby but i knew someone i wasnt to fond of with that name and I cant get that person out of my head when i hear the name lol. It is cute tho =)

Something told me inside that you had your baby!!!! I signed on to check on you and just what I thought...you telling me that you had your baby. He is so precious!!!! Oh, and by the way...every woman whether you breastfeed or not gets that crazy engorgement after having a baby. I pumped...but they still swelled up like I had a boob job and it hurt like hell!!!! After a couple of days though the pain went away...thank God!!!! For you, if you don't breastfeed, or pump..eventually...they will calm down also. So happy for you girl!!!! Congrats!!!!! Hey girlie, I am glad that you and the baby are ok. I have been wondering where you have been! I am sorry you had to suffer those last weeks with the (pre)eclampsia. I am sure it was worth it. I am envious!! I have an appt tomorrow and we will be talking about how big my boy is. I may need a c section or I may need to get him out sooner. How has recovery from the c section been? I am going to try to breastfeed but am still worried about engorgement. I haven't given birth but I have been weepy on and off too. I imagine it may be a little worse afterwards too. I am here if you need some support!! I will be joining you in the mommy club soon. I hope to keep in touch. Wish you and Sebastian well!!!

Hey, sorry it has been awhile. I cannot believe it may happen for you this coming week. Thats awesome! I bet you are so happy. You have had it rough these past few weeks too so I am sure you are really ready to get it done with and get your body back to normal. My chi Lucy got to be around a 5month old a few days ago for a few hours. She was soo good. She wanted to lick him all over but she also went and ate her bone in her bed. I am glad she doesn't have to be all over the baby all the time. I can't wait until Buddy is old enough to play with here. I agree that you have to raise chihuahuas right from an early age. They have some bad tendencies but if you stay on top of it they are wonderful dogs. I hope you are feeling alright. Hang in there. Almost done. I have an appointment tomorrow so we will see how things are doing. I am worried he is going to be BIG because I am 5'10 and he is filling me up completely. I have pressure on my lungs and cervix. I also strangely have a small pelvis so I want to ask the dr how this is going to work! I can't wait till we have our babies here. I don't think my Buddy has any intention of coming in the next week or 2. I can't wait to have him here though!

Yeah, I've been as uncomfortable as I don't know what . . .and yes, I won't know how to act either when my body is mine again. I'm SO ready to have this baby and as of tomorrow . . I will officially be full term/37 weeks!!! Sorry about your pre-eclampsia . . what are they doing about that? Are they going to induce you soon? I was tested for it, because my blood pressure was up at my appt on Wed, but it was normal on Friday, so I'm not really sure what that was. How many weeks are you exactly?
