Our Other Babies Syrcee (3 year old Shih Tzu) & Ferrah (6 year old Ferret)
We were TTC for 25+ months .... Baby Dust to all TTC.

UPDATES:
9/20/2009- Avalyn Marie Scott was born at 33 weeks due to eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. She weighted 4 lbs and was 16 inches long. I spend 11 days total in the hospital- 1 week on bedrest before I had her. She is still in the NICU at the hospital but all is well.
2/26/09- We have got several BFPs this week including last night on a Digital Clearblue easy. I was on an all natural cycle!!! Fingers crossed- I will keep you posted.
1/8/09- We have found the Dr. that we want to presue for the IVF/ further infertility treatments. However with the increased thought of multipules or this being a once in a life time thing... we have chosen to wait until my DH is further along in grad school. He currently has 4 semesters left- counting this one. We will still be trying with the Metformin for now and if we have no luck by this time next year we will be headed to the fertility clinic. This will also give us time to save more money and not strain ourselves- since even with insurance it will be about the same $ as a new car.
12/29/08 This month I called the DR. and explained that I just finished 7th round of Femera and this is my 24th month of TTC and that I didn't want to try Clomid- no offence but femera has better to same results as clomid with less side effects and I hated the hotflashes as is. So he said there is nothing else he can do and recomended someone. I am pissed- I feel like he has been just dragging me along.... I feel like he has acted like he was the be all specialist -acting like he could do the injectables, IUIs and IVF- that I just didn't need that yet? So hubby made the calls today to see who the insurance recommends for an RE and how much they could help out. It looks like the insurance will pay up to $10K total/ lifetime toward treatments and up to $5k for fertility drugs. Now I just have to see if we have already used any of that. I am hoping not, we have paid for most out of pocket to my knowledge. So that should at least cover to get my eggs checked and a series of IVF treatments. Now I just have to find the Dr. I like in network.
10/30/08 So I went to the Dr. today for my schuduled appt. I had hoped for it to go better. He wants me to try 2 more months on Femera (that would make 7 cycles) before switching to Clomid. He wants to do this before looking into anything more expensive.I just can't see spending more time trying Clomid when Femera is suppose to be better and have less side effects!!!!!!!!!!
7/14/08: Update: altho I was supposed to be on a TTC break.... I had been having pains on my left side for the last 5 weeks or so- I have a small tube on my left side. So I decided to go into the doctor today- I was afraid it was a cyst. U/S reviels that I ovulated last month-pretty good (possibly two eggs from one side) because it caused painful bleeding around my ovary. However I already spot AF so I'm out for this month... The Dr gave me pain meds and more fertility drugs.... Not exactly what I was hoping for since I kinda wanted a break!!!!!!!!!!
4/7/08: 2 BFPs this past week and the Doctor's Blood Test showed nothing by the end of the week: chemical pg

HISTORY:
We have had DH swimmers tested: all looks good and blood work showed his testosterone level at 285 which is low in the normal range but still normal.
March 2008: I had a Hysterosalpingography (Dye Test). The Dye Test showed that my left tube is much smaller than my right but both tubes are open. I started taken Metformin which will lower my glucose levels but is suppose to help me ovulate with better quality.
I was diagnosed with PCOS right after we got married in 2005. I really wasn't sure what it was untill I started TTC. Latest U/S July 2008 still shows cysts on both ovaries even with medication. At least the Dr. says I am ovulating.
Dr. says to keep taking the Progesterone if I don't start AF at a week or so late & I still have a BFN. I only take it as needed. I used to be on the nuva ring and it really messed up AF. I went a long time without a PD. and I am now real irregular if I don't take the med. I am sure that it is a low dose and I only have to take it a few days. This also avoids letting my lining get too thick. My lining was so thick at one point and my dr. was scared that the cells could become cancerous. That is another reason that he wants me to take it if I am running into 6 week + cycles.
SUMMARY:
I do use OPKs and I was on Metformin (twice a day) and I've taken 7 rounds of Femara day 3-7 of my cycle. I also take Progesterone (as needed to keep my cycles regular.)
