We have been TTC for 19 months .... Baby Dust to all TTC.

UPDATES:

8/14/08:This month: Fifth month on Metformin. month off Femara (like Clomid) day 3-7 of my cycle.

7/14/08: Update: altho I am supposed to be on a TTC break.... I have been having pains on my left side for the last 5 weeks or so- I have a small tube on my left side. So I decided to go into the doctor today- I was afraid it was a cyst. U/S reviels that I ovulated last month-pretty good (possibly two eggs from one side) because it caused painful bleeding around my ovary. However I already spot AF so I'm out for this month... The Dr gave me pain meds and more fertility drugs.... Not exactly what I was hoping for since I kinda wanted a break!!!!!!!!!!

4/7/08: 2 BFPs this past week and the Doctor's Blood Test showed nothing by the end of the week: chemical pg

HISTORY:

We have had DH swimmers tested: all looks good and blood work showed his testosterone level at 285 which is low in the normal range but still normal.

March 2008: I had a Hysterosalpingography (Dye Test). The Dye Test showed that my left tube is much smaller than my right but both tubes are open. I started taken Metformin which will lower my glucose levels but is suppose to help me ovulate with better quality.

I was diagnosed with PCOS right after we got married in 2005. I really wasn't sure what it was untill I started TTC. Latest U/S July 2008 still shows cysts on both ovaries even with medication. At least the Dr. says I am ovulating.

Dr. says to keep taking the Progesterone if I don't start AF at a week or so late & I still have a BFN. I only take it as needed. I used to be on the nuva ring and it really messed up AF. I went a long time without a PD. and I am now real irregular if I don't take the med. I am sure that it is a low dose and I only have to take it a few days. This also avoids letting my lining get too thick. My lining was so thick at one point and my dr. was scared that the cells could become cancerous. That is another reason that he wants me to take it if I am running into 6 week + cycles which has become regular about every 6 months. I go to the OBGYN about every 2-4 months for check ups. I love my Dr. he is supportive and very positive that we are on the right track.

SUMMARY:

I do use OPKs and I am on Metformin (twice a day) and Femara day 3-7 of my cycle. I also take Progesterone (as needed to keep my cycles regular.)

I really didn't know that it was a cyst I actually just thought it was going to be nothing...my coworker and I were talking about it and she said "I don't think it is normal to have pain like that and you need to go get checked" (Why did I listen???) Anyway, the pain was on my right side (and worse during mensturation) so I was expecting something on that side but that side looked great. The left however revealed this huge mass on the left ovary. The US tech, which usually aren't at liberty to say much just said "you have a large cyst on your left ovary" I was like OK now what? Then all of this has lead up to possibly losing it!! I am tring to stay positive but this year has been rough for us. We lost a baby (our first) in May and now I could lose an ovary! The Lord had better have something good in store for us! LOL!
Anyway, I don't think your pain is probably serious from what you said. A lot of women experience pain during ovulation---I wouldn't worry too much especially if they did do a scan. Well, now that I have written a novel I will end by sending you some baby dust!!! ~~~~~BABT DUST~~~
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I do agree with you, big girls need babies too. I too have pcos that went undiagnosed for 8 years and 3 doctors. How long did it take for your periods to regulate. I have only had 1 since I started metformin 3 months ago?

hello ladies! has any of you been doing the cervical position check while TTC?

dahreel28 - Tuesday, 26 August
hi there. I was diagnosed with PCOS 8 months ago when i had my u/s after my m/m last october. But i was wondering because i am having AF every month and usually 28-33 day cycle. and as i read the forum on PCOS they usually get 60 to 70 days cycle. I am also using the OPK to detect ovulation and I also get a positive OPK result.I really wanted to get pegnant again after an m/c.

Hello My Friends!

How are all of you? I started school on Thursday and I am SO excited! Only taking one course right now...Psychology, but it should be a breeze and there's no reason I shouldn't get an "A"! Mo is standing now and scooting along whenever he gets the chance! Cannot believe how fast he is growing. I would like to have another, but that may have to wait a couple of years til I get my BA or until I'm further along close to my degree. Would like to have my second and last by the time I'm 42. I'm feeling better about my lifestyle. although it's still hard not having the community. I know we will one day and I just hope it's sooner than later. Tropical Storm Faye TORTURED FL, but luckily for us here in the panhandle, she came and went rather quickly. Lots of rain, more drizzle than anything and she' s moved on to AL. Just wanted to say hello to all of you and hope to hear from you soon.

Be blessed and take care!

Denise
