My name is Linda I live in Ontario, Canada. My husband and I are expecting our second baby.
We have our chubby chicks Victoria Daniela, she is 20 months old.

Baby is 12 weeks and 2 days, HB is at 160, everything looks fine. We are soooohappy
This last ultrasound was my daughter's when she was 17 weeks and 6 days. I think they are almost the same size
Tuesday January 8
I had a appt. with my doctor, everything looked ok, I had to have the second part of my screening test .
Friday January 11th
I got a call from my doctor, she said I have 1 in 40 chance of having a baby with Down's syndrome. She told me the 98% of the baby could be ok, but the 2% could have the syndrome.
It was a nightmare for my husband and I, I don't wish anybody to live those moments, and I pray for all the moms who are passing for situation like that, maybe for someone is easy but not for me, I tried my best to be strong but just i couldn't.
Monday January 14th
We had to go to Genetics, the doctor was very clear with her explanations, she gave us some comfort, but the posibilities were there killing me. She told us I was 18 weeks and 6 days, I'm not sure about that because I think I'm 18 weeks and 2 days. I have to ask my doctor on my next appt.
We were booked for the next day to have done the anmiocentesis, usually the result of this test takes 2-3 weeks, which it will be terrible waiting for something good or bad. She told us there is a new method that takes 1-2 days but only reads the abnormalities in the cromosoms which is our mayor concern, and the general information we will have in the next 12 days. This one was a very good option for us.
Tuesday january 15th
9am the test Anmiocentesis was done, I was a little bit painful but nothing out of control.
We couldn't sleep all night just thinking about the results. I'm telling you guys tha is the worse situation for someone to live.
Wednesday January 16th
We got the results, chromosomes 21, 18 13 are fine, they just are normal!!!!what a relieved!!!!!! Thanks GOD!!!!, and we are going to have a baby BOY!!!!!!!!We are soooo happy I can't wait to have my little one with me.

Hey! Doesn't look like you've been on in a while. I just wanted to let you know that I had the baby last Friday. He was 7 lbs 3 oz and is perfectly healthy (even with being a month early.) I hope that you're doing well, and have just been busy the last month.

I hadn't said 'hi' in a while, and just wondered how you were doing. When I went to the doctor on Friday, I was 2 1/2 cm dilated, and he thinks the baby is already 7.5-8 lbs, so he doesn't need to stay in way too much longer. I ran out of space in my torso a couple of weeks ago, and sometimes it feels like he's going to break off on of my ribs if he pushes any harder. I hope you had a good Mother's Day! How have you been feeling?
