Hello to all the mommies or soon-to-be mommies out there!
My name is Linh and right now i am about 10 weeks along. It's my first pregnancy and I am about to turn 19.
I'm nervous about this whole process, mainly on what to expect during my first appointment, and ESPECIALLY LABOR & DELIVERY!! oh man, i can feel the pain already by saying those 2 words, lol.
Any young mothers out there, or ANY mothers out there, who would like to chat, feel free to come by and leave comments or any advice from experience. Right now, I am experiencing bad morning sickness and i hope this will get better towards the end of my first trimester. My first appt is this week so wish me luck! <3
Sunday, April 6, 2008-- i just found out on friday that my boyfriend and i are expecting a baby BOY! so exciting. i wanted a girl but my boyfriend wanted a boy so i guess it's okay! doctor says i need to eat more to gain more weight.. i came in 105 4 weeks ago and now i'm 103. but so far she said the baby is looking good. =)
Sunday, June 1, 2008-- So i took my glucose test on Friday.. and im waiting on the results. i hope it goes okay because i do not want to come back for a 3 hour test! ahh i hate all these testings.. i heard the glucose drink would be bad but it wasnt bad at all. in fact, it was pretty good lol. it tasted like soda to me. shrugs. anyhow.. i cant believe how fast all of this is going by... im halfway through and im excited yet so nervous at the same time. i feel like im in this alone because i have no family behind me besides my boyfriend and his family. and they're great and im truly grateful for that. anyways i didnt get a picture of my recent ultrasound on friday.. but this ultrasound below is when i was 19 weeks!

mommy-allie - Monday, 8 September im soo excited for you! you'll be fine dont worry. im going to see if i can be induced the 17th if i havent had her by then... we'll see! some cramps but nothing really.
aejh143 - Sunday, 7 September see when I had cramps, they had me on a monitor once and they were showing up as contractions. My doc said those were my Braxton Hicks contractions...it was much earlier on. Lately when I have cramps I honestly think it's me dilating because they've really kicked up here the last few weeks and that's when I started seeing progress. I've also been on the monitor that night I went into L&D for 2 min apart contractions for 8 hours. That was like my uterus tightening from my pelvis up, until my stomach was in a ball and there was pressure in my pelvis and back. After those there would be crampiness. I don't know if yours are BH contractions or if your body is dilating, but I know from mine it IS doing something for you. (I've also heard that some women only ever felt the cramps and that was their contractions...so I don't know, it's so confusing that it's so different for each person.) how many weeks are you?
mommy-allie - Saturday, 6 September good luck next week!!!! im so jealous :)
mommaxamanda - Thursday, 4 September such a cute belly!!!!!!
mommaxamanda - Thursday, 4 September Well, hopefully I'll be getting induced on the 9th. If I am being induced, it'll most likely be at night. I talked to my doctor about getting induced last week, and he sees no problem with it. Do you have a name picked out? Good luck with everything!!!!!
medina08 - Wednesday, 3 September I am doing well just very tired and in pain. No progress here. Did you make the decision to get induced? Well good luck with labor n delivery. Keep us updated!
tamisfirst - Wednesday, 3 September I'm not sure she didn't say?! I guess they are all different but I really don't want to be induced either so lets hope they come before Tuesday!!! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for us!
mommy-allie - Wednesday, 3 September i dont know i eat everything! Im really athletic though so i think thats part of the reason. The doctor didnt seem too worried about it so neither am I. Induction wont be as bad as you think. ill probably end up going over and being induced. im going to ask if i can be on my due date if i havent had her; im stressing about school and work and not knowing when to expect her. i dont wanna be surprised really
trintansmommie - Wednesday, 3 September Hey sorry it took so long for me to get back I'm being induced because of gestational diabetes I can't wait
lizzie287 - Tuesday, 2 September No it didn't at all. My biggest fear was a spinal headache after birth and that didn't happen either. All that stuff they warn you about it is so rare it's not even worth worrying about, honestly.
kyliecogger - Tuesday, 2 September I was induced with my first. They usually induce because you have not dilated yourself- once you start to dialate you are in labour. Once they induced me it took eight hours for me to deliver. You do go straight into second stage labour so the pain does come on quick and faster than going into labour naturally. Everyone is different but the actual induction process does not hurt and can be a bit uncomfortable depending on how they do it. I started with gel being inserted and then I was hooked up to the drip and they broke my waters. Good luck and try to think past the labour and how good it will feel to hold your bub on the other side of it all.
mommy-allie - Tuesday, 2 September ive only gained 10 lbs so my doctor wants to do an ultrasound fri to see. he thinks shes gonna be small though, im guessing like 6.5lbs. atleast you have a def end date... im gonna be pregnant forever!
