Everything is going well at work. Alison is working out well, I think she's getting more comfortable. The power went out for 3 hrs today- that was nice to get a break.
Oh, I went shopping and got some really, really comfortable clothes so I'm really happy!
Well, I hope the heartburn goes away- real soon!! barbi -
Friday, 25 April Hey Sydney, just thought I'd check in to see how things are going for you two? I also have a two vessel cord pregnancy, things to be going ok for us. Just had an u/s yesterday and baby was over 6 pounds (I am 37 weeks) so he seems to be growing ok. They did find low amniotic fluid so now they need to monitor that, seems like its always something! Can't wait for these stresses to be over, although then we get a whole lifetime of different ones don't we? sunshinemommy1 -

Wednesday, 9 April Just a suggestion, I was going through the same thing and found out I was not eating enough fiber. Make sure you are eating a good amount of protien and fiber. I was getting up twice a night to eat and now I can manage to keep full till atleast 6:30 am.... I have gained a total of 32 pounds. That is good compared to my first 86 pounds and my second 58...Good luck...Fruit/Veggies/Beans/Wheat Breads, and Oatmeal are a big part of my diet now. havinababyinmay -

Friday, 4 April Thank you for your reply to my post. Luckily my hubby's parents have been great! His mom's throwing us another BIG shower after the baby's born since she wasn't invited to the one my mom threw. If we mention to her anything we need, she tells us to go pick something out and then she gives us the cash for it. It doesn't get much better than that! I'm just dissappointed and a little embarrassed that my own parents haven't been as helpful as they said they would be for their first grandchild. maybabiesr4me -
Tuesday, 25 Mar I've had migraines even before pregnancy. They've finally subsided but my doctor told me to take Tylenol which did nothing for them. When I complained, he gave me perscription for codine which I avoided having filled. bigmommat -
Thursday, 20 Mar HI just wanna say that Im feeling the sleeplessness as well and yes constipation is not very nice. This is my 3rd pregnancy (3 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son) and with both of them I really had no issues. This is another boy and its been such a different pregnancy. Good Luck! krpincincinnati -
Wednesday, 12 Mar I just asked that exact question at my appt. yesterday! I told my Dr. it feels like seizure-type movements. She says it is normal!! That their little nervous systems are still forming and the mylan (sp?) sheath is still thin so due to their immaturity that it is normal and babies that she has heard of doing that come out just fine, totally normal. She also mentioned hiccups, but I told her that she gets hiccups too and that it is not the same feeling. Hope this helps!!!

Monday, 10 Mar Hi Sydney, just wanted to update you on how things are progressing with my SUA pregnancy - I had an ultrasound on friday and baby was measuring great at 3.4 pounds. Exactly average so the doctors are not concerned at this point. The doctor doing the ultrasound said it is up to my obgyn as to when I will need another one since they feel baby is fine. Good news but I still preger they keep a close eye on him. Anything new on your end? AlyEwing-Ball -
Sunday, 9 Mar hiya,
thanks for your message. I think the moition sensors are a good idea but i think that 20 seconds is too quick... by the time i've walked from our living room into the kitchen and put the kettle on 20 seconds is over ... i'm just not sure, this is my first and i don't want to go over board really. baby will be in the room with us and there will be two of us each night so i can understand your reasons... barbi -
Tuesday, 19 Feb Hey great to hear your little one is growing well! From what I have read you are out of the very critical period - IUGR in the first half of the pregnancy is of more concern so hopefully you can enjoy the last trimester! barbi -
Tuesday, 19 Feb Hi Sydney, let me know how your u/s turns out, I'm sure baby is great;) I have my regular 28 week check up this week then at 30 weeks I go see my obstetrician for the first time. I have just been seeing my family doc up until this point. I haven't heard anything about another u/s yet except that they will monitor me closer in the 3rd trimester. I would love to have another one to make sure everything is ok and will ask for one at my appointment. Otherwise I feel great, how about you? Keep me posted... dueinmay -

Monday, 21 Jan Hi Sydney. You are the first person I've met with a two-vessel cord as well. I know what you mean by the whole internet thing -- its evil!! Everyone, including my doctor, told me not to read that stuff. My doctor also doesn't seem all that concerned with the situation. But of course I'm still very worried, I try not to be but can't help it. Our detailed ultrasound came back normal and then the specialist told me that there is a 5% chance that the baby could have a heart defect and a 15-20% chance of low birth weight. I was sent for an echocardiogram to check the heart in detail and we just got those results back a normal (thank God!!). So really from this point on I think I get a few extra ultra-sounds to make sure the baby is growing properly. This is just my situation though, what have your doc's said? I'm interested to know if we are in the same situation? Take care hon! Leave a message for sydneynj1979 in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
