Hi Everyone!

Oh the beauty of this site, I have become codependent on here.

Updates:

Aug 1- Sitting here at week 40 with no sign of her debut. I had plenty of 'pressure waves' but they did not produce any results. I also lost my mucus plug over a week ago. I don't mind waiting, but really, it is like 110 degrees and my bits are soo sore that every step feels like I have a super heavy bowling ball in my bits. Not to mention, I have to step to the toilet ever 6 minutes. And i might be the moodiest fat prego I have ever come across.
It can't be long now, or else my kids and husband might bury me!!!

July 15- No progress, she is still high up and cozy in there. So no chance of an early arrival.

July 9- Can't believe it, but I don't have placenta previa anymore. It was complete at 34 and half weeks and has moved completely in a two week span. So exciting! So now i can wait until she is ready. She weighs 6.5 pounds.

July 8- Can't believe it is almost over. I am scheduled for a c-section on July 17 because the previa is still considered complete.
My back is sore and I am peeing every 30 seconds. My little girl is constantly on the go.

June 3- Another scan, placenta is moving but is still considered a previa. She was sucking her thumb, silly girl! She weighed in at 3 lb 8 oz. Our next scan is June 25, so I am very hopeful the placenta will be in the right place. I am hot, I am bothered, and everything is sore. Though I still love being pregnant!

May 7- Had another scan (starting to have fun with all of my photos) and still I have placenta previa. I go back in another four weeks to see if it has moved. Other than that, I am now weighing 130.2 pounds which is about 30 more than when I started. She is weighing 2 pounds 9 ounces. I feel I am breathing like an elderly overweight person, my heart is pounding a lot harder and stairs and I are no longer companions. Had another glucose test and hoping that the phone does not ring...

March 19- Had another scan today to see if my placenta moved at all. No such luck. But it was soooo great to see our little girl again. I counted fingers and they are all there. Her heartbeat is 151 and she is 12 ounces. We have another appointment in 7 weeks to see if anything has changed. I don't mind if it hasn't changed, but it is annoying not knowing. Our summer plans are all in limbo at the moment. Such is life. We are over the moon to have a healthy bouncing baby girl. I need to do some shopping as we are off this weekend on our lengthy three country trip and none of my shorts fit at all. And although my belly is huge, seems as though my behind and thighs are not keen on being left behind, so they are packing on the weight just the same. Yikes. hehe. Overall feeling brilliant and couldn't be happier.

March 12- Got great results today. Tested negative for gestational diabetes (though I will have to test again at 28 weeks). I can't wait for my appointment next week to see if my placenta has evacuated the area it is not desired in and to see our little girl again. We leave for Singapore, Thailand and Bali next weekend and I am a bit apprehensive about the 50 plus hours of flying. And no, we are not flying first class. I am really looking pregnant, and loving it as I get so much attention. Being pregnant and feeling great is just brilliant. Sleep, no not getting any. Pee, yes, getting plenty. I have put on 25% of my weight and am now up to almost 125. However I believe that my body has gained what it needed to. I ate about the same prior to pregnancy and I couldn't gain an ounce. But our little girlie needs some cushion going on.

This little girl is quite active in her little studio flat. Lots of kicking and punching. At this point I laugh, though I reckon in a few months I might be threatening to kick back. Haha, she just kicked again as I wrote that. Cheeky little girl.

February 22- Writing in pink for a good reason... It's a GIRL! I know I already have two girls, but I love girls and am very excited. I am starting to feel a lot better as well. Losing the morning sickness but gaining aches and charlie horses, ouch! I feel her kicking a lot now which is so exciting. We found out I have complete placenta previa, so hopefully it will go away, otherwise she will not be a Leo and our travel plans will be tossed in the bin. I also seem to have a lot of sugar in my urine, and as I had gestational diabetes with #2, this does not surprise me. I am also showing big time! On our holiday, everyone could tell I was prego and thought I was at least 5 months. Nope, just eating a lot I guess.

January 29- update: Well, I was sooo certain that by week 13 all of my horrible symptoms (constant nausea, excessive belching, wind, headaches, etc.) would be gone. BUTTTT!!!! They are still here. Still, right here and in no rush to go anywhere anytime soon. Which I find very frustrating. Actually my husband probably finds it more frustrating. UGh! Our little bean looks like an alien and my husband is convinced it is missing an arm. hehe.

Hope that all mommies to be are feeling better!!!

December 21- Ultrasound showed a little bean, he/she was so cute! All is well, but still burping like a man, or like a pub full of men. My family just laugh it off, but we are going to visit in-laws tomorrow for a week and I am so worried that I am going to be belching the whole week through. That ought to impress the whole lot.

Your still prego??? I posted my birth story and a few pics up of baby Jack. Are you planning on getting drugs during delivery?? May I suggest you do. lol. I LOVE DRUGS! They made my labor so managable.

Hi - I heard that a normal pregnancy is usually over the 40 wk due date anyway and that the supposed due date that they mention is an early estimate. A normal pregnancy can be anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks. So dont rush it if you can three days over would be pretty normal and I hear contractions can be faster and more furious with induction. try to wait a bit longer if you can. Good Luck

I really hope so - thank you!!!

I have Hindu music to listen to. Very meditative. I also have a doula, so hopefully she will be giving me affirmations!

I am lucky--have a birthing center nearby. I have a midwife. They don't induce. They have a list of natural ways to induce labor--red raspberry tea is one of them. Let me know if you want more!

becky468 - Friday, 25 July
ohh yeah....well i'm gonna go do a triatalon and do the baby dance for 48 hours straight and then go buy a pogo stick and jump on that for a few hours!

becky468 - Friday, 25 July
I asked him about induction and he said after my due date if i'm making progress then we'll talk about it. I don't think they should be passe dout like candy either.

Well its nice to know I won't be alone in 40 weeks talking to myself.

Ohh and food don't get me started...i'm so wanting some hot wings. I ate at a pizza buffet today. I know its totally bad but that place is a pregnant womans dream!

I'm tired of hearing all these b**ches getting induced and comming on here and bragging about it. lol

At least you got an inductuon date...so I kinda hate you. lol j/k

Hot is not the word. Thank God for A/C. My hubby, daughter and I went for our hr walk this am I barely made it. Walking and gyming it have been beating me up, yet my patience is running out. Are you going to breastfeed? It hurt so bad with my first but I owe it to the baby to do it again for at least 3 months. Have a nice weekend!

I did vomit with my first born, so be prepared.
I was up most of the night with mild cramping. Passed out around 2:30am after a shower.... Got 5 hrs of sleep, woke up with more cramping and loose poo. These were the early signs of labor with my first. It is supposed to be 90+ degrees here today, so I am going to get out and walk now while I still can. Just had a protein shake, so I have a bit of energy and belly ache. How are you today?

miamimommy - Wednesday, 16 July
All three were born vaginally. Two of them were with demerol in the IV and one was with no medication at all. I've never had an epidural but I'm definitely going for it this time. Try not to worry too much about vomiting. Trust me, you'll be so preoccupied with every other aspect of labor and delivery that even if you do begin vomiting, it will be insignificant in comparison to everything else that will be going on. You'll be fine!

mumofsix - Wednesday, 16 July
I've only vomited once in transition so I think it just depends. Not everyone does. I had no pain relief for my last 4 babies.

miamimommy - Wednesday, 16 July
Hi there. I read your question in the 37 week comments. I have given birth 3 times, and each time I experienced vomiting during labor/delivery. My doctor says that it's pretty common but I'm hoping that it won't happen with this one (although my track record doesn't look so great). I hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Congratulations on your pregnancy, you are almost there.
My induction was a request. Since things are moving along ... it is safe:)

rosie08 - Sunday, 13 July
Your welcome...I have 3 large fibroids, that have chose to "behave" themselves, so I know what GREAT news dodging a c-section is!

mumofsix - Friday, 11 July
Hi, I'm feeling great thanks. I'm actually having a few strong contractions at the moment. Not enough to make me think labour is upon me but enough to make me stop and take notice.
