Hi Everyone!

This will be our third girl. We have two girls 9 and 13, so it has been a while since I did the whole pregnancy thing. It was a total shock to us, as I was on bc, but here we are and it is all very exciting. Happy to see that there are so many new gadgets to choose from. Easy to fill days while looking at everything!

Updates:

July 15- No progress, she is still high up and cozy in there. So no chance of an early arrival. Fine by me.

July 9- Can't believe it, but I don't have placenta previa anymore. It was complete at 34 and half weeks and has moved completely in a two week span. So exciting! So now i can wait until she is ready. She weighs 6.5 pounds.

July 8- Can't believe it is almost over. I am scheduled for a c-section on July 17 because the previa is still considered complete.
My back is sore and I am peeing every 30 seconds. My little girl is constantly on the go.

June 3- Another scan, placenta is moving but is still considered a previa. She was sucking her thumb, silly girl! She weighed in at 3 lb 8 oz. Our next scan is June 25, so I am very hopeful the placenta will be in the right place. I am hot, I am bothered, and everything is sore. Though I still love being pregnant!

May 7- Had another scan (starting to have fun with all of my photos) and still I have placenta previa. I go back in another four weeks to see if it has moved. Other than that, I am now weighing 130.2 pounds which is about 30 more than when I started. She is weighing 2 pounds 9 ounces. I feel I am breathing like an elderly overweight person, my heart is pounding a lot harder and stairs and I are no longer companions. Had another glucose test and hoping that the phone does not ring...

March 19- Had another scan today to see if my placenta moved at all. No such luck. But it was soooo great to see our little girl again. I counted fingers and they are all there. Her heartbeat is 151 and she is 12 ounces. We have another appointment in 7 weeks to see if anything has changed. I don't mind if it hasn't changed, but it is annoying not knowing. Our summer plans are all in limbo at the moment. Such is life. We are over the moon to have a healthy bouncing baby girl. I need to do some shopping as we are off this weekend on our lengthy three country trip and none of my shorts fit at all. And although my belly is huge, seems as though my behind and thighs are not keen on being left behind, so they are packing on the weight just the same. Yikes. hehe. Overall feeling brilliant and couldn't be happier.

March 12- Got great results today. Tested negative for gestational diabetes (though I will have to test again at 28 weeks). I can't wait for my appointment next week to see if my placenta has evacuated the area it is not desired in and to see our little girl again. We leave for Singapore, Thailand and Bali next weekend and I am a bit apprehensive about the 50 plus hours of flying. And no, we are not flying first class. I am really looking pregnant, and loving it as I get so much attention. Being pregnant and feeling great is just brilliant. Sleep, no not getting any. Pee, yes, getting plenty. I have put on 25% of my weight and am now up to almost 125. However I believe that my body has gained what it needed to. I ate about the same prior to pregnancy and I couldn't gain an ounce. But our little girlie needs some cushion going on.

This little girl is quite active in her little studio flat. Lots of kicking and punching. At this point I laugh, though I reckon in a few months I might be threatening to kick back. Haha, she just kicked again as I wrote that. Cheeky little girl.

February 22- Writing in pink for a good reason... It's a GIRL! I know I already have two girls, but I love girls and am very excited. I am starting to feel a lot better as well. Losing the morning sickness but gaining aches and charlie horses, ouch! I feel her kicking a lot now which is so exciting. We found out I have complete placenta previa, so hopefully it will go away, otherwise she will not be a Leo and our travel plans will be tossed in the bin. I also seem to have a lot of sugar in my urine, and as I had gestational diabetes with #2, this does not surprise me. I am also showing big time! On our holiday, everyone could tell I was prego and thought I was at least 5 months. Nope, just eating a lot I guess.

January 29- update: Well, I was sooo certain that by week 13 all of my horrible symptoms (constant nausea, excessive belching, wind, headaches, etc.) would be gone. BUTTTT!!!! They are still here. Still, right here and in no rush to go anywhere anytime soon. Which I find very frustrating. Actually my husband probably finds it more frustrating. UGh! Our little bean looks like an alien and my husband is convinced it is missing an arm. hehe.

Hope that all mommies to be are feeling better!!!

December 21- Ultrasound showed a little bean, he/she was so cute! All is well, but still burping like a man, or like a pub full of men. My family just laugh it off, but we are going to visit in-laws tomorrow for a week and I am so worried that I am going to be belching the whole week through. That ought to impress the whole lot.

Thanks so much.. it's good to have an insider's tip!

charlestongurl - Sunday, 8 June
I have the super sensitive belly button pain, and they said I had a hernia (there is a bump right on the inside)... not much they can do now, but they said before I have another baby, I have to have surgery to fix it (out-patient thing)

LizzyB - Sunday, 8 June
Yeah mine came on real quick. I had a scan on a thursday and my back was really uncomfortable but I thought this was just cos I had to lay there for over an hour. By sat lunchtime I could barely walk cos of the back pain. I had no symptoms of a UTI which was quite scary. Hopefully its nothing serious. Hope your feeling better. Take care.

number2intheoven - Sunday, 8 June
I had been cramping all day, like period cramps, and figured it might be prelabor. I decided it was time to have sex. A hour after doing the deed I had contractions....8 hours later our baby was born.

JanelleMarie - Friday, 6 June
I called the hospital about 3 times before I went in labor. I kept thinking what I was feeling was actually it. Finally after passing my due date by 3 days I went walking around Mall of America here in MN. I walked until I could not walk anymore. That next morning around 10 a.m. I started feeling contractions and I just knew it was it. It was like I had never felt before. Not painful but consistent. I went to the hospital and they wanted to send me home until the contractions were stronger but I lived about an hour away. Instead they put a gown on me and made me walk again! I walked around the hospital for 2 hours until I could not take the contractions anymore. They gave me a pain reliever to knock me out. The next morning the contractions were gone and I was upset. The nurse said well start walking again! 30 min into my walking they were back and strong. They then told me they were going to break my water and get the baby out. By 7:00 p.m. that evening I had my daughter. Moral of the story...walking works. It just takes a lot of will power to keep on walking when all you wanna do is sit.

I hope things go well for you too. The tech said that it was well out of the way but it was between the outside of my belly and the baby (in the front of my belly) So, she told me to just be careful but no C-section...yea!

And then click on the link "this beautiful tool".

My baby has 50% chance of having brown
40% of having green
10% blue
I'm hoping for her daddy's bright beautiful green eyes!

I understand exactly what you mean about changing weeks. When I first started on this page it really bothered me because I felt like I was missing out on something by moving on without some of the others but as I have gone on I have gotten a little more used to it. Though there are still some weeks where I just don't want to move yet.

LizzyB - Friday, 6 June
Also, my urine tested positive for protein with the kidney infection so it may be just cos you have a UTI.

LizzyB - Friday, 6 June
I had a UTI about 4 weeks ago with no symptoms at all so because it went untreated I ended up with vomiting, fever and extreme backache so I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a kidney infection and had to stay in for 2 days. I now have to take antibiotics daily till my twins come in case it comes back. I'd check with your Dr or midwife if you think you have one cos kidney infections are very serious and can cause preterm labour.

tetera - Friday, 6 June
I've had loads of issues with UTIs and kidney infections over the past 10 years and also wanted to second the cranberry suggestion. I can't tolerate cranberry juice so I take cranberry capsules (from the health food store) any time I feel a uti coming in and it almost always holds them back!

strackbaby - Thursday, 5 June
I was told monday that I have a UTI, I was in the hospital with it, it was giving me lower cramps, back pain and blood in my urine. It mustve been bad. I'm on antibiotics and if it turns into a kidney infection that's bad news for baby! I thought the need to pee a lot is normal in pregnancy, sheesh!

becca0x - Wednesday, 4 June
I think that you would of felt her turn. I felt my little girl turn about 2 weeks ago. But maybe she turned in your sleep thats why you didnt feel it. Either way you don't have to worry about her being breach right now she has plenty of time to turn. I just went for an u/s yesterday and they said she is head down even though she doesnt need to be yet. So I wouldnt worry too much. Good luck.

aville - Tuesday, 3 June
I know!! It is going by so quickly... only 7 and half more weeks. I stop working in two weeks, so i'm looking forward to resting. I'm really trying to get myself psyched up and prepared for natural childbirth and I heard that hypnobirthing is a good way to go. what is the name of the program you ordered? and where did you order it from?
thanks!

LOL I was reading your post in 31 wks about the hospital. I feel the same way. Where I am from you just have one room from start to finish, and its your very own room. Well I moved and here I can't even have my bf stay the night with me if there is another person in the room. That is such crap. I am glad another woman shares this pain lol. :)

GoonieMomma - Friday, 30 May
Yeah, I guess it does happen a little less at home... maybe it is the stress. So I enjoyed the chai and now I'm enjoying an M&M cookie. Did I hear "Salads all weekend, Jennifer!" MUST find some other activity to keep mood up... :-)

glamour313 - Friday, 30 May
I was jusrt reading about the gas and it made me lol cause the same happen to me but it made my boy stop kicking as to say "Aint that a B****, i can hear you lady" hahaha

lynnerbugs1 - Friday, 30 May
I had partial we noticed it on my 17 week scan. My Dr. said that if it didn't move he would check up until 3 weeks before my due date but I got lucky. It moved just enough to have a vaginal birth. Good luck with your scan!

Your not alone tamain! My bf is the same, but im in awful moods since 30 weeks or even less. Cant help it. The boyfriend hates me buying anything for baby he believes i be cursing it! and says oh we plenty of time to be buying stuff etc! I was like ya so ill giv you big list whilst in the hosp and you get em all in 1 day! I dont think so! So lucky enough i got bits for the hosp and i think if i hadnt got what i gotten so far it would be very stressful! Not to mention the cash better to spread it out over the months getting stuff, Iv few more bits to get like swing, sling, nursing clothes, cast, mattress for cot sheeting etc but am i allowed no! But ill get em anyway wen his not around lol,

The ice cream sounds great...but calcium inhibits the absorption of iron...you would be better off downing the iron pill with a glass of orange juice or any vitamin C fortified drink, and saving the ice cream for at least an hour later. Vit C increases the absorption of iron, so you'll get more benefit from the supplement. Hope this helps.

mizzy - Wednesday, 28 May
omg the ice cream and milk sound sooo good together.and thanks alot by the way, cause we have no ice cream! haha :P
