Hey, Im new to the sight but it looks like a really great place to meet and talk to people who are going through the same wonderful thing!!!!! I I live in Atlanta,Georgia and graduated from Howard University last year. This is my first pregnancy and god blessed me and my boyfriend with a BOY!!!, I thought it was a girl, I wore pink linen pants to the 20 week visit.....surprise, surprise... The only thing bad about my pregnancy is that my boyfriend plays football and my due date is on a day when they play all the way in Arizonia, I pray he comes early so he can be there,, because it would break both of our hearts if he misses it........

He got a fumble recovery sunday, and brought me the game ball, well i thought it was for me, he said its for the baby, it was so cute, so we put it in his room

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

TO Bad im on bed rest because my feet are huge and hurt.. and on top of that my boyfriend had a away game this weekend so he not here. he wont be back until late tonight.. but he did send me three dozen roses and a diamond bracelet on saturday and called and sung happy bday at 12am so im ok, but its my 25th and i wish i could be out but im happy and my son will be the greatest gift i ever got.....plus im throwing a big party in jan so its not that bad

Dec 10 & 11 birth story

started my labor at my boyfriends monday night game, but since the contractions where slow and not that strong i stayed until the end ... Well the contractioons got stroger and around 2am they started to kick in.... I labored at home until 8am, then me and chauncey went in to see the doctor...i was 3cm so the doctor told me go ahead and go to the hospital.... it was time... well when i got there my midwife broke my water to move things along.... then they suggested getting my epidural to help me rest... so i did, by 7pm i had only got up to about 5cm..... me and my family where in the room just laughing and talking when all of A sudden doctors, nurses and midwifes ran into the room,, i was still drugged so didnt know what was going on.. they kept making me switch sides but i guess that didnt work and my baby's heart rate dropped all the way to the 60`s.... they turned on the emergency light in the hallways and start running my bed down the hallway.. next thing you know im in the O.R with like 12 doctors running crazy yelling and tying to get my baby out.. 2 min later i hear his sweet cry and my boyfriend talking to the doctors... he was perfect nothing wrong at 8.20pm on Dec 11 Chauncey Antoine Davis Jr was born 7pds 10oz, 201/2in .. even though it was not my birth plan i had the best experience and its something i will never forget.....i love him so much

jan 17I love being a mom, at times it can get hard but when you see your baby its like heaven.im almost back to my before body , so happy...I plan to have another one in a year so they can be close in age... i had a doula for the first month ..she was the best, she would come over at 9pm and leave at 6am...i miss her ,lol, we got to sleep and get rested and she helped use get him on a mini schedule and understand things about being parents. if you have the money to hire a baby nurse/doula please get one its is the best thing we could have ever didFeb 23I love my little man, he laughs and talks to me all day now..i thought i would love him being small forever but i like it better the more he grows and becomes independent. i cant wait to have another one. he pulls his hair so i have to keep a cap on and mittens on his hands, other then that he sleeps good and plays well by himself.. i cant stand to be apart from him when me chauncey went away for valentines day, all we did was get tipsy and pull out our phones and compare pics of him..how lame!!! but we had a great getaway..we took him to miami last week, chauncey had an appearence, so we took our first family trip...i was so scared because i didnt want him to be the baby that cries the whole way, but he was PERFECT, he slept through check in, security and the flight , there and back, i was so tired of people coming up to us and trying to see him and trying to talk to us on the plane, me and chauncey tried to put on headphones hoping they would stop they didnt, we go on a cruise in april so i have a trainer 3 days a week so i can get my beach body back, i dont know how im going to leave cj for 7 days when i havent been away from him more then 1march 29why is my hair comin out like crazy uhhhhhhhh.............i know its suppose to do it but i feel like im going to be bold in another month, anybody elsemay 4i just got back from my cruise on the biggest ship in the world, freedom of the seas...me and chauncey had the time of our life but i was missing my cj,june 23CJ is CRAWLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i forgot to tell you ...he started last week. 6 1/2 months

Good. I have lost 5 lbs!!!!! My doctor was very impressed that I am taking this seriously and eating healthy and working out, but not over doing it. I am in week 14 and feeling great. How are you and little CJ he is so adorable. I am hoping for a boy but overall a healthy baby. Oh how far along should I be to take the maternity photos? I was thinking about taking them in Nov and I will be 6 months then. Talk to you soon.

That is so true I never looked at it that way about a nanny but if I do choose to go that route I will definitely make sure she is certified and also a through background check. Also our insurance pays for a doula (via my conversation with the company) well a portion so I am going to begin my search. I also completely understand about having strangers watching your child. We have decided to put my mom in the mother in law suite for at least 3 to 5 months to help out (she told me I better not get rid of my housekeeper because that is not going to be part of her job description

). Thanks for the tips I really appreciate them. I wanna be such a good mommy and I know it will come naturally but we all want it to go so perfectly. Also I headed back to the gym today (my doc told me I was free to go and work out but no squatting but everything else is cool). I am already thinking ahead for our trip to Los Cabos next summer

I didn't understand your reply but I would love to hire them to photograph my pics (At what month did you take your pics?). Also I read that you used a doula. Did you use one for the birth and afterwards? I was considering more so for the birth to help out in the delivry room however I have part time live in nanny for afterwards. I can see my hubbie trying to be supportive during the birth but I think he might do something to piss me off (lol)and I migth throw him out!

Hi Ladies - Just wanted to let you know that my little lady has made 4 months and growing more and more everyday. She's such a joy - laughing out loud, rolling over (well from stomach to back but we're working on the other way) and she's still sleeping about 12 hours every night. I've also started her on solids. I've decided to make her babyfood (huge money saver) so I've been adding bananas and apple sauce to her cereal and she loves it! She has her 4 month checkup on 9/8 so she's not gonna be a happy camper since she has to have more shots but I'm sure she'll be fine. I just hope that the nurse isn't soo rough this time **wishful thinking**... Well that's all our new news. Here are some 4 month pics that we've taken the last couple of days.
