Jackson went to his 6 month check up today. He now weighs 15 pounds 6 ounces and is 27 1/2 inches long. He is doing great! They are going to refer him to a doctor about his tongue because he is tongue tied. Just to see if he needs to have it clipped. I hope he doesn't but I dont want to leave it and it cause problems later. They will have to put him to sleep to do it and that scares me a bit but we will do what we have to do. They said he is right on schedule with everything else. He is eating fruit and cereal more now and seems to like it. He really wants to sit up. He tries so hard. It shouldnt be long now. He is rolling over from his stomach to his back but not from his back to his stomach yet. He almost has it! He tries to talk but hasnt gotten any words out yet.

I had to take Jackson to the doctor today for his cough. Didn't think it was anything big but wanted to make sure he didn't have RSV. His rsv test was neg. thank God! But he does have 2 ear infections and a red throat. He was also wheezing. Jackson has been a little fussy but I was really surprised to hear he was so sick. He is taking an antibiotic and on a nebulizer for the wheezing. He weighs 15 pounds now. He is getting so big. He wants to sit up really bad and I dont think it will be long but he just really doesn't like laying down so the rolling over thing just isn't happening right now. I keep trying though!

December 12th

Jackson went to the doctor for his 4 month check up. He now weighs 12 pounds 5 ounces. 25 inches long. He got 3 shots and some oral meds. He was not happy! :( He cried for a couple days on and off. I gave him tylenol and that seemed to help him. I have stopped pumping now and he is on formula full time. I hate that but I ran out of milk. The doctor said he should be ok because he got a good start. The doctor said he looks great and should go back in 2 months for more shots :(

Jackson went to the doctor today because he has the sniffles. He weighs 10 pounds 10 ounces. I was so excited to hear that he gained weight. The doctor said his ears, throat, and lungs were great. He said he just has a cold and to use nose spray and suck out his nose and he should be fine.

I took Jackson to the doctor today and he is now weighing 10 pounds. I was so relieved when the nurse said 10 pounds. I have been pumping to make sure he is getting enough milk. I have started using my frozen supply because I am not making enough milk now to feed him. I think he was only getting like 2 or 3 ounces at his feedings. He was not gaining any weight but he is now. Thank God! He goes back to the doctor again in about 2 weeks for another weight check. Will let you know the results!

MY BIRTH STORY

I went to the doctor for my NST. My blood pressure was up. They put me on the monitor and noticed I was having regular contractions so decided to check my cervix. I was still dilated to 2 but 70% effaced. The doctor said I was already 39 weeks and my blood pressure was getting higher and he thought it would be more of a risk to allow me to stay pregnant so he sent me on to the hospital. I called Trista which was babysitting Owen and asked her to get ready because we were going to the hospital. She was so excited. When I got home I parked in the garage and started upstairs and noticed Owen at the top of the stairs waiting for me. He had his superbag(superman backpack) on his back and in his underware. He said "Im ready mommy". It was so cute! Anyway we gathered things up and off to the hospital we went. My husband works near the hospital so he met us there. We checked in the hospital at 2:00. I told them how fast Owen came once my water was broken and I didn't get the epideral so they promised they would get it for me asap. They started my IV and started me on pitosin. They gave me the epideral and then the doctor broke me water. I was still a 2 at that time. It seemed like I was never going to change from a 2. I finally did about 4:00 am I was finally a 5. Then at 5:00 am I was fully dilated. The doctor promised my husband he could catch the baby so he began to get ready. They called the doctor and told her I was ready. She came in and noticed the baby's heartrate was really low so she told my husband that he would not get to catch the baby. She pulled out the suction and began pulling the baby out. The cord was around his neck. She pulled his head and sholders out and then allowed Mike to pull his the rest of the way out and place him on my tummy. When he put him on my tummy he was very lifeless. I was really scared. They took him over and started working on him and in a few minutes he made a small sound. They worked with him for about an hour and decided to keep him in the nursery for a couple hours to watch him. They allowed me to hold him for about 5 minutes and then took him. When they brought him to me they stated he was much better and we didn't have anything to worry about. They did an X-Ray on his lungs several times and then Thursday they told us that he had a little fluid on his lungs and a small hole in his lungs but they thought it would heal on its own. We finally got to come home on Friday. He is a little yellow. His numbers had to be under 12 and they were 11.4. Everything but my blood pressure is better. They put me on bloodpressure meds twice a day for about 6 months or until my bloodpressure regulates. We have our beautiful boy home now and he is doing ok just sleeping all the time and not doing much eating. We go back on Monday or Tuesday for a check up.

Im 36 will be 37 when the baby is born. I have been married for almost 5 years and have 2 children. My daughter is 18 from a previous marriage and my son is 3. My son is so excited he thinks we are having 2 babies because we have 2 names picked out. Tessa Jaye if its a girl and Jackson Keyser if its a boy. My daughter is excited now but wasn't too excited when we were talking about having another baby. She was my only child for so long and got a big life change when Owen was born. She loves him but she loves her own space and he loves her space as well. I just couldn't stand the idea of the 2 of them being so far apart in age and thinking they may not be close because of that. I wanted him to have a brother or sister to grow up with and be close to. I am a stay at home mom and love every minute of it.
