About us and our baby...

We've been married since June 2nd of 2006. And on October 25th, my wonderful hubby and I found out we were pregnant! I had been testing with the dipping strips for about 4 days and kept getting really faint lines... my mom got sick of it all and got me a digital one. I could hardly sleep that night and when it was time to get up and pee, i was shaking!!

The test immediately showed pregnant and I've been in a dream-like state ever since!!

We found out our baby is a boy on February 13th and we were soooooooooooooo HAPPY!!! We thought all along that he was a girl because people kept telling me that I was carrying high, that I had too much morning sickness for it to be a boy, and my hubby and I had had multiple dreams even when we were just dating that we would have a little girl. So we had named the baby Isabella Anna...

Even the night before the ultrasound I had a dream that the baby was born and it was a girl.. so it was a HUGE surprise but we were both very very happy! My hubby is a drummer so we are praying that he will be born with some kind of musical gift :)

I'm also going to nursing school to later pursue a career in midwifery.. so this baby has come at the perfect time! I'm passionate about life and birth and pregnancy (although I know I will NOT miss being pregnant!) It has been an amazing experience so far and although I have had a lot of rough times, it has been a great ride.

I love my little boy more and more each day and I cannot wait to hold him in my arms and smell his hair.. and stare at him all day :) I've dreamt of being a mother since I was 3.. and I'm so excited that I'm finally one to a very healthy and sweet little guy :)

Yea I cant say it has been the most pleasant thing... I grew up in a really small town it was bascially a farm town. I loved growing up there and hate it here. Im not sure if you ever lived somewhere and just could never call it home but thats where I am at right now lol.. The end of the summer we are going to be house searching and go to a town that appeals to both of us!!!! But this has nothing to do with me being a mom. I love it!! DONT love the sore boobs but just keep pumping or giving alexa the boob:) I hope you have a good night and can get some rest through all the pressure and peeing.

I have had some anxiety issues for about a year now.. Ever since i moved away and into my husbands hometown... It sucks but a lot happened last year so i think it all got to me and the change of everything made me anxious. Plus there is a lot to handle once the baby arrives and I dont want to become depressed.. My husband is really getting to me lately so i think i just need to a place to vent and how to handle him with out getting into a fight.

I'm doing very well. No BH, no nausea, no anything =)

I'm just soooo hungry most of the time, soooo sleepy all the time and soooo lazy half the time. I'm obviously enjoying every minute. lol

Ahhhh so soon eh?? You, your baby and your family will be in my prayers. Hope you have an easy delivery. I'll definitely check on you page... every day!!!!!

Yea thats what I want something I can go to the office maybe one day a week or even for half a day and work the rest from home. I will not put alexa in daycare. I have worked at them before and it is not something i would do to my child, plus those kids are always sick!!! Ohh the pressure the last few days of being prego it was soo intense! and yes the being every 5 mins stinks i soo dont miss that!!. healing hmm im trying. My hubby asked me yesterday if i have the blues im like umm not that i am aware of why? He said well you didnt take a shower today and you dont seem happy.. Ummm hunni im freaking exhausted and the baby was on my boob for 3 straight hours. Then he tells me how he is worried about things i swear he is the one who has the blues lol!!!!
I did decide i am going to see a therapist for my anxiety issues and see if that helps!!!
on the healing, still bleeding here and there, y bum still hurts to poop from the episiotomy, my sciatica is killing me and still have those leg pains!!! I guess things just take time!! But besides all of that I cant get enough of alexa lol!!!

That's so cool about your friend/doula. My VERY BEST friend from 5th grade is a midwife/doula that delivered babies in the Phillipines for awhile, and I really wanted her to come be my doula, but she is a nanny right now and can't make it. You're lucky to have her! GOOD LUCK!

I was up a lot last night with contractions and vaginal pressure and pains, but nothing yet.... They are getting stronger though! I dunno, maybe I will go get checked if I continue to be so uncomfortable and having pains. I will definately let ya know!

You got me on that one. I have never seen my mucus plug, and I have never had bleeding....but I did talk alot to my doctor and MW about alot of things and just last week he told me no stress if you have not seen it. And Blood it's ok......I just want to make sure that you are calm and ok. Cause when some one writes CALL YOUR DOC NOW!!!! It really can scare the crap out of you. My guess is the next 24hrs. But then again I am not a doc...lol

Thanks girl, I am soooooo glad it is over, whooohooo! Story coming soon and thankfully it is just a house play by play, no drama, aside from having to get gas before going to the hospital.... =)

I saw your post and wanted to offer my experience. This is my first baby so I really have no idea what is going on : ), but I lost my plug about 10 days ago and there was no blood, just kinda clear looking, but from how I described it to my doctor, he said that's exactly what it sounds like. He told me it doesn't have to have blood in it and that can or may not come later. I still have had no spotting or bleeding at all so I guess the two can be seperate.

Yes, last day is Wednesday and I can't wait! I have had it with work! lol... I really wish I had the patience to stick it out all week, but I just don't think I can do it! I hate getting up every morning and coming in here! Not that I don't like my job, just sick of getting my "tubby" butt outta bed when I don't feel like it!

Not yet!!!! I am dyin here! I even walked 4 miles over the weekend and nothing! This is insane! First I had to have shots to keep her in, now I think she is too comfy and wants to stay in there! I will def keep ya updated if something comes up!

Def dont buy anything yet.... My hips are still huge and so isnt my ass lol.. I guess all those bones take the 6 weeks till post partum to go back to normal.. Looks like i will be wearing a mommy bathing suit when we go to the cape in july lol....

crazy to think my due date is this week haha.
Ohhhh yes tired isnt even the word right now. Alexa actually sleeps too much lol.. I had to wake her up for her feeding last night since she slept for 5 hours with out eating.. Then she was up and still hungry so i fed her more then pumped and hubby went back to work today so i had to get up before he left to feed her again and have been up basically since 430 lol... Its all worth it though. We have to go to the dr today, she has all thsi gunk in her eye, its probably just a blocked tear duct but it looks aweful. The joys of being a mom and ohh did i mention i look like complete ass!!! but have already lost 16 pounds i cant wait to hit the gym and loose the other "cough" 50 pounds lol... Keep me posted!!!!!!!!
