Tanner & Nolan

Maurice & I at a football game 11-29-07, It was only in the 20's, even my hand warmers couldn't stay warm in that cold, I had on two blankets. Now were both sick, but we won!

Tuesday, 11 Dec

Today we saw the sun & it was actually 70 degrees, Tanner and I went to the zoo. I can't believe it was this warm today, it has been raining and 40 for like a month straight, so this was a welcome change, although it is supposed to go back to cold and raining tommorrow. :( Baby seems content and must be sleeping, she doesn't seem to be as active as Tanner was (and still is) so maybe she'll be a little calmer when she comes out.

Tuesday, 4 Dec

Hello all, my name is Lori and my husband and I are expecting our second child in April. We have a wonderful boy (all boy and very active) who will be three 12-26-07 and we are very excited and surprised to find out that we are expecting a girl. I felt different this time around and thought it could be a girl but my husbands family seems to only make boys (besides his grandma, he has one aunt) so I am praying that the doc & tech were right. Everyone is so excited were having a girl, my hubby's grandma even called me to thank me for having a girl. Not like I was the deciding factor in it but I was happy to take some credit. :) I wish I could get one more ultrasound just to make sure before I go out and buy all pink. I can't wait to go shopping and get everything all set up. Goodness I think I'm nesting already, I just need to clean and organize everything. Best of luck to each of you, may you have happy and healthy pregnancies.

Its a GIRL! :) :) :)

Tuesday, 27 Nov

I can't wait until Thursday my ultrasound is scheduled for 10:30.

Monday, 25 Feb.

Wow I haven't written anything in a long time. I have gotten to the part of pregnancy where I feel huge, hot and miserable all the time. I crave chocolate and I'm sure thats not helping with the huge part at all. But not much longer to go, hopefully time keeps moving along and doesn't slow down too much. I am so ready to have this baby. But we still need to finnish setting up the nursery. All we've done is set up the crib so far.

Friday, 21 March

Had my doctor appointment today she said she is going to induce me April 22 if I haven't gone by then. I am so excited, there is an end in sight! Everything else looked good, baby is head down and I measured well. I gained 3 pounds in a week, but I can't stop eating. Especially jelly beans! LOL I am nesting something awful. I need to rearange everything, last night I took everything out of our pantry and then put it all back more orderly. It does'nt help that its time to start thinking about spring cleaning. The only problem is I get tired in the middle of a project. Last night I pulled everything out of the pantry and then had to make myself put it all back so we could use the counters.

Friday, 18 April

Well went to the doc yest. Baby had been head down for at least a month and she is now breech. They are going to try to turn her the 22nd (Tuesday) and if that doesn't work then I will have to have a C-Section. My doc seemed almost mystified and somewhat troubled that baby had turned this late. Anyway it happens, I guess. I am still only 2 cm dialated, and have been for weeks now.

Yeah...I see you had your little girl!! Rivers actually came on his due date...April 22. Is that when your little girl came?? Well I know things are busy there (and are here as well). I hope you are doing good...my blood pressure is really out of wack so I'm kind of having a rough time but hopefully they will get it straightened out soon. Congratulations to you, Maurice, and big brother Tanner!! Talk to you soon!!

miracle-baby - Tuesday, 22 April
Good luck and I know everything will be fine. Yes, they brought the baby into the recovery room with me. It was a great experience.

Gabrielle - Tuesday, 22 April
I will be praying things go well for you induction tomorrow (if you haven't already had the baby). We spent most of the day in labor/delivery (you'll have to read my page because its a LONG story) but maybe our kiddos will have the same b-day!!! SWEET!! Take care and fill me in when you get the chance!!

blueyedxdemon - Tuesday, 22 April
any news yet?

miracle-baby - Sunday, 20 April
I know that having a c-section is scary because I have been exactly where you are right now but it really isn't as bad as everyone portrays it. Plus, you get your little one in your arms either way. I was able to breastfeed and hold my son within a half hour to forty minutes. I always say to myself that if it wasn't for modern technology and a c-section, neither my son nor I would be here right now. A vaginal birth scares me because the chord could wrap around the baby's neck and they could have severe complications with breathing. At least a c-section is safe for the baby. The only real complications are to the mother. I know how you feel because I am facing another c-section this time and I would prefer to try this naturally but you to know that it will be ok. As for them trying to turn the baby at least they give you meds. LOL Everything is forgettable once you hold the baby. The yoga comment was funny. I remember trying to turn my son and I put myself into all these hilarious positions. He was just happy to be up by his mama. He is still that way. LOL Good luck! I am thinking about you and praying that your little girl turns.

mulan - Sunday, 20 April
Oh, wow! Sorry to hear that!!! I hope your baby turns around though. Mine did! Earlier this month he was in breech, but he turned back around in like 5 days. A friend of mine had her babygirl start turning and stop half way! She satayed like that for a few days.(And I must add, her tummy was looking extra deformed) The doctors were worried that the baby might suffer some type of damage, but right before she went into labor, babygirl turned around all on her own and everything was Ok.

Gabrielle - Sunday, 20 April
HAHA!! It's worth a shot, right?? How cool would that be if Tanner could get her to turn the right way?? Neat-o!!

youngstudentandmom2be - Saturday, 19 April
thanks for the input about the plug and the cervix... this is my first so i'm learning a lot about these things as they happen. how did having your cervix in that position affect your pregnancies??

mulan - Saturday, 19 April
If your baby is breech, many nurse-midwives recommend specific exercises you can do to help turn your baby on its head — the best exit strategy when it comes to birthing. Pelvic tilts might help, or try kneeling with knees slightly apart, and bending over so your breasts touch the floor and your belly nearly does. Repeat three times a day. Good luck!

blueyedxdemon - Saturday, 19 April
Hey girl, I hadn't heard from ya in a while. hope everything is going ok. I had my little girl Tuesday @10:43 pm. She is so precious. I'll have to send you pictures of her...how are things going with you? Had yours yet? I hope all is well and I'll email you here shortly...never thought in a million years i'd be fighting for time on the computer lol.:) ttyl.

Gabrielle - Saturday, 19 April
HAHAHAHA!!!! I've actually heard (now that you mentioned it...I had forgotten) that babies will turn to face familiar voices. Worth a shot. Hopefully he will stay open-minded and won't freak out too badly!! He might have to start at the top of your tummy and work his way down or around...maybe she'll follow the leader :o) Good luck...let me know!!! I'll talk to you soon!!!

miracle-baby - Saturday, 19 April
The good news is they give you some type of pain medication. Mine was four years ago so I didn't get anything. LOL I thought this one was breeched at one point and decided to skip that step. (I think the memory of that procedure is worse than the actual c-section) But luckily she is head down. I hope your little one turns for you. Perhaps your baby will turn on its own. :) If you have to have a c-section don't worry about that either. As long as you move as much as possible afterwards than recovery time is shorter. If I don't go into labor on my own by this Thursday then I have to have another section. I am almost relieved because I am so afraid of a vaginal birth. Isn't that funny???? I know what to expect with a section. But I would love to attempt a vaginal delivery and know what it is like. I hope everything works out for you and you get the delivery you want.

MoniL - Saturday, 19 April
Oh bless your heart, I hope the doctor is able to turn the baby. Have you tried any home remedies like putting a frozen bag of veggies on top of your tummy or doing some cat poses and arching and slowly dropping your back ?? I have been doing squats like crazy trying to get her to come sooner. I finally have all my bags and EVERYthing ready!!
I hope everything works out for the best for you and she turns ASAP
