Tanner & Nolan

Maurice & I at a football game 11-29-07, It was only in the 20's, even my hand warmers couldn't stay warm in that cold, I had on two blankets. Now were both sick, but we won!

Tuesday, 11 Dec

Today we saw the sun & it was actually 70 degrees, Tanner and I went to the zoo. I can't believe it was this warm today, it has been raining and 40 for like a month straight, so this was a welcome change, although it is supposed to go back to cold and raining tommorrow. :( Baby seems content and must be sleeping, she doesn't seem to be as active as Tanner was (and still is) so maybe she'll be a little calmer when she comes out.

Tuesday, 4 Dec

Hello all, my name is Lori and my husband and I are expecting our second child in April. We have a wonderful boy (all boy and very active) who will be three 12-26-07 and we are very excited and surprised to find out that we are expecting a girl. I felt different this time around and thought it could be a girl but my husbands family seems to only make boys (besides his grandma, he has one aunt) so I am praying that the doc & tech were right. Everyone is so excited were having a girl, my hubby's grandma even called me to thank me for having a girl. Not like I was the deciding factor in it but I was happy to take some credit. :) I wish I could get one more ultrasound just to make sure before I go out and buy all pink. I can't wait to go shopping and get everything all set up. Goodness I think I'm nesting already, I just need to clean and organize everything. Best of luck to each of you, may you have happy and healthy pregnancies.

Tuesday, 29 Nov

Its a GIRL! :) :) :)

Tuesday, 27 Nov

I can't wait until Thursday my ultrasound is scheduled for 10:30.

Monday, 25 Feb.

Wow I haven't written anything in a long time. I have gotten to the part of pregnancy where I feel huge, hot and miserable all the time. I crave chocolate and I'm sure thats not helping with the huge part at all. But not much longer to go, hopefully time keeps moving along and doesn't slow down too much. I am so ready to have this baby. But we still need to finnish setting up the nursery. All we've done is set up the crib so far.

Friday, 21 March

Had my doctor appointment today she said she is going to induce me April 22 if I haven't gone by then. I am so excited, there is an end in sight! Everything else looked good, baby is head down and I measured well. I gained 3 pounds in a week, but I can't stop eating. Especially jelly beans! LOL I am nesting something awful. I need to rearange everything, last night I took everything out of our pantry and then put it all back more orderly. It does'nt help that its time to start thinking about spring cleaning. The only problem is I get tired in the middle of a project. Last night I pulled everything out of the pantry and then had to make myself put it all back so we could use the counters.

Friday, 18 April

Well went to the doc yest. Baby had been head down for at least a month and she is now breech. They are going to try to turn her the 22nd (Tuesday) and if that doesn't work then I will have to have a C-Section. My doc seemed almost mystified and somewhat troubled that baby had turned this late. Anyway it happens, I guess. I am still only 2 cm dialated, and have been for weeks now.

Ughh...how annoying that the hosts just sent out your invites!!!! I hope everyone is able to make it, you def deserve a great shower!!

I am doing good, of course like you said about out of a cervix, so I have to keep laying down...I am sneaking away right now to write everybody back and to check emails...but than I am back down for the rest of the day!!
Baby is getting big! She is 4 pounds 12 ounces!!
I really can not wait to meet her!!!

How are you feeling???

Oh, and top things off I have PUPP (itching like crazy) Carpal Tunnel and a trigger finger!~~ Only 3 more weeks!! LOL

Gabrielle - Wednesday, 12 Mar
I've learned that instints in general are pretty good. I'm glad you took him and found out...at least that is easily treatable. Did they give him any drops? I'm also glad he is able to enjoy Thin Mints...I'm not sure what I would do if I couldn't eat GirlScout Cookies!! HAHA!!

Here's my instinct story: At one of my doctor's office buildings there is an elevator which I have only ridden on three times (and I go every week). So I hate this elevator and I've been dragging my pregnant tushie up THREE flights of stairs every week for the past 4 months. I find out on Tuesday that the elevator got stuck on Monday WITH PEOPLE INSIDE!!! Whew!! I guess I'll have to keep enjoying my workout until I can't possibly climb the stairs anymore...then I will PRAY as I have anxiety attacks riding that scary elevator :o)

Hey i just asked a friend that just had a baby and she said they don't do internals over here so thats kind of a good thing. they only do one once your in labour.

blueyedxdemon - Tuesday, 11 Mar
Yeah the pain I have feels like you described when laying down..sometimes it gets worse and i'll flip to my left then back to my right (i can't breath on my left side...so i can't sleep on it:( )

Mine has been like that for a month now....i tinks it's the tummy getting bigger along with the baby lol. At least i not the only one feeling this...even though i could never wish this on anyone what we are feeling.

btw you've got some awesome pics on your profile:)

Gabrielle - Friday, 7 Mar
It takes a little while to get used to the iron. I had bloodwork done at my appt. on Weds so if my iron is still low I will be taking it a couple of more times per day...yuck!! I'm hoping that will not be the case because my body is finally used to it in the evenings. Kylee is such a cute name!! Aren't you excited...it's getting SO close now!! I'm already so anxious and we still have over a month left...I can't imagine how I will be next month this time.

I hope the Z-Pack can knock whatever is making Tanner sick out for good. OH NO...I can't believe he is allergic to Samoas (those are my favorite)!! You are probably right, though, because coconut is fairly common to be allergic to. I can't imagine the thin mints will get to him (unless it has to do with something where they are made). How did he do with them?? And what did the doctor say about his ear?? It doesn't matter if the doc gets tired of seeing you guys or not, if you don't feel good...go!! I've had to go a lot in a short amount of time before too...it just happens.

I haven't had very many dizzy spells since last week (Thank God)!! But the doctor said it could be a number of things (low iron, low BP, low blood sugar)...he said it's common and if you do pass out you will wake up when you hit the floor. Haha, that made me feel so good :o/ I guess he was just trying to say you won't die or anything. He's kind of old and maybe his bedside manner isn't the best, but I love him!! I've actually been feeling pretty good this last week although I haven't been able to sleep as well as in past weeks because my hip starts hurting. Oh well. And Nate comes home in 8 DAYS (next Saturday night)!!! I can't wait!! I feel like I have grown SO much since he left (actually I know I have b/c I am NINE POUNDS heavier then at my last drs appt which was the day before he left)!! Haha...it's okay though because its all belly :o) Hope you guys are doing better!!! I'll talk to you soon!!

mrspooh - Thursday, 6 Mar
no prob- yeah thats as much blood as I was getting too so don't worry too much. As for the stools, I eat a lot of mangoes, bananas and oranges and drink a lot of juice. I also use a bit of flax seed oil when I know im backed up. Hope this helps! (your son is gorgeous btw!)

MoniL - Thursday, 6 Mar
hey i left you a mess back on the main page, but i wanted to tell you to be careful with the fiber powder and pills they actually did a reverse effect on me making matters worse. I remember one time I bled so much it turned the water in the toilet bloody sorry TMI but it litterly tore me. you can also take milk of magnesia only half a TBspoon though, it will work within hours

mrspooh - Thursday, 6 Mar
hi tannersmommy- I had that 'butt issue' early in pregnancy too, and the bleeding is actually caused by little tears in your rectum and anus called anal fissures. They usually heal up after a few days if you try to eat fruit and other things that will soften your stool. Hemorhoids actually are like little nodules, some are small some are the size of a large raisin, that swell up around your anus. The pain and tenderness will go away eventually with those too but the nodules take a while to shrink back. Either way, just talk to your doctor for suggestions. Ive had both and frankly, Id take anal fissures over hemmorhoids any day! Hope this helps!

Cryptic304 - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Oh yea louisville, that is kinda close...probably closet Ive found too!

Traviesa - Wednesday, 5 Mar
lol! I only laugh at your post because My dog scratches my belly all the time...

moonsmom - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Hi, yes my belly button looked completely normal afterwards just a slight scar I can still see but has faded greatly. I would recommend it maybe you could get it done while you are still in the hospital before bekini time!!

Cryptic304 - Wednesday, 5 Mar
oh and its in northern ky...we are about 5-10 minutes south of cincinnati, oh.

Where are you?

Cryptic304 - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Yea it just kills me how some women dont get them at all! Ive heard laser treatments as well, but yea def a pretty penny I bet.

moonsmom - Sunday, 2 Mar
Hi, I had no problems with any of my deliveries with the hernia. You'll be fine, and it shouldn't hurt as bad after the baby comes. The surgery is really nothing at all, it's under 30 minutes for sure. It seemed like I had just fallen asleep and it was over. I don't remember much pain afterwards either.

Gabrielle - Sunday, 2 Mar
Hey Lori!! Haven't heard from you in a while and just wanted to drop you a line to see how you and the handsome little man have been feeling. I'm doing pretty good...for the last few days I've been having spells of lightheadedness (I feel kind of dizzy, feel hot, and my palms get clammy). Ever had anything like that? I'll just be glad when next month the new little ones come!!! Rivers is already in position (which I hope doesn't mean he is getting ready to come this early). I meant to ask you how the iron is working out for you?? I hope you are well and I will talk to you soon!! By the way, have you and your hubby decided on a name for your little girl??

ExpectingAgain08 - Saturday, 1 Mar
woot woot. well thats exciting! thats not that far away!

Good Luck two you as well! :-D

dixonbaby08 - Saturday, 1 Mar
I have a herniated navel as well. However, I do not have an 'outie', mine is still an 'innie'. The hernia is just above my belly button and it hurts so bad, feels like I am going to split in half. Dr. said I could need to have the muscles stitched back together afterwards, but I REALLY hope not! I hope it resolves itself which is a possibility. I have a c-section scheduled and I don't want to have any more belly surgeries after that!

beckym - Friday, 29 Feb
Ouch, poor little guy. That would drive me crazy if the doctor was trying to imply that. You are over there, distressed about your son and they are being aquisitory towards you, not nice. But true, I guess there are some people like that they have to watch for, that would do it intentionally or something. Talk to you soon, gonna go make dinner.

moonsmom - Friday, 29 Feb
Hi, Yes I had the same problem with my first 3 pregnancies. My belly button looked like a pig's nose! I was a huge outie. Since my last baby I had the surgery to repair it. It was still a quarter of an outie before the surgery but afterwards it was back to normal. With this pregnancy I still have an innie, YEAH. So it must have been successful! You don't have to have the surgery done ever if you don't want to. I just had to because of a new job I got that required lifting. Hope this helps.

darkangel - Friday, 29 Feb
Hi there, I had a hernia develope right between my ribcage with my first child and it went away after I had her without surgery. Hopefully yours will just go away. They are painful though, I am so glad that I haven't gotten one this time around.

my3lilones - Friday, 29 Feb
MY HERNIATED NAVEL WAS TAKEN CARE OF AS A CHILD BUT TILL THIS DAY WHEN I GET PREGNANT I DO FEEL A STRANGE PULL ON TOP OF MY NAVEL. NOTE TO SELF IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE SURGERY ASK THEM WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE AFTERWARDS. I HATE MY NAVEL. IT'S NOT ONE OF THOSE CUTE ONES....

mavy143 - Friday, 29 Feb
Ughh...how frustrating with the shower hosts. It seams a lot of people are having trouble, according to the boards.
I think my invitations were sent out 6 weeks in advance (really early). all the RSVPs were in 2 weeks ago.
I guess this is where I am lucky when it comes to having over-bearing IL's LOL ((HAIL TO THE POSITIVE))

So, okay...I think my body has been taken over by itchy rash. It is so weird, first I thought it was strecth marks, but now I realized it is tiny pimple/bug bite like rash...and it is on my arms, legs, feet and belly. I looked it up on-line and it sounds like it is PUPP...but fortunatly it isn't as bad as the pcitures show..I hope to not let it get too bad...Going to Dr on Tuesday to BEG for relief. I had totake tylenol PM last night to sleep...and I am covering myself in Benadryl during the day...SEXY BED REST PREGGO COVERED IN PINK!! lol

So, what are your plans for weekend....

natalie75 - Friday, 29 Feb
I am having the same problem with a hernia. I was talking to one lady and she had to have surgery about 2 months after her baby was born.

mavy143 - Thursday, 28 Feb
Ha ha

You got him to shave you...I actually did the deed myself last week...but I think I am going to have hubby get back to the grooming LOL Hey, it is the least they can do!!!

So, any word from the shower planners?????
