Tanner

Tanner & Nolan

Maurice & I at a football game 11-29-07, It was only in the 20's, even my hand warmers couldn't stay warm in that cold, I had on two blankets. Now were both sick, but we won!

Tuesday, 11 Dec

Today we saw the sun & it was actually 70 degrees, Tanner and I went to the zoo. I can't believe it was this warm today, it has been raining and 40 for like a month straight, so this was a welcome change, although it is supposed to go back to cold and raining tommorrow. :( Baby seems content and must be sleeping, she doesn't seem to be as active as Tanner was (and still is) so maybe she'll be a little calmer when she comes out.

Tuesday, 4 Dec

Hello all, my name is Lori and my husband and I are expecting our second child in April. We have a wonderful boy (all boy and very active) who will be three 12-26-07 and we are very excited and surprised to find out that we are expecting a girl. I felt different this time around and thought it could be a girl but my husbands family seems to only make boys (besides his grandma, he has one aunt) so I am praying that the doc & tech were right. Everyone is so excited were having a girl, my hubby's grandma even called me to thank me for having a girl. Not like I was the deciding factor in it but I was happy to take some credit. :) I wish I could get one more ultrasound just to make sure before I go out and buy all pink. I can't wait to go shopping and get everything all set up. Goodness I think I'm nesting already, I just need to clean and organize everything. Best of luck to each of you, may you have happy and healthy pregnancies.

Its a GIRL! :) :) :)

Tuesday, 27 Nov

I can't wait until Thursday my ultrasound is scheduled for 10:30.

Monday, 25 Feb.

Wow I haven't written anything in a long time. I have gotten to the part of pregnancy where I feel huge, hot and miserable all the time. I crave chocolate and I'm sure thats not helping with the huge part at all. But not much longer to go, hopefully time keeps moving along and doesn't slow down too much. I am so ready to have this baby. But we still need to finnish setting up the nursery. All we've done is set up the crib so far.

Friday, 21 March

Had my doctor appointment today she said she is going to induce me April 22 if I haven't gone by then. I am so excited, there is an end in sight! Everything else looked good, baby is head down and I measured well. I gained 3 pounds in a week, but I can't stop eating. Especially jelly beans! LOL I am nesting something awful. I need to rearange everything, last night I took everything out of our pantry and then put it all back more orderly. It does'nt help that its time to start thinking about spring cleaning. The only problem is I get tired in the middle of a project. Last night I pulled everything out of the pantry and then had to make myself put it all back so we could use the counters.

Friday, 18 April

Well went to the doc yest. Baby had been head down for at least a month and she is now breech. They are going to try to turn her the 22nd (Tuesday) and if that doesn't work then I will have to have a C-Section. My doc seemed almost mystified and somewhat troubled that baby had turned this late. Anyway it happens, I guess. I am still only 2 cm dialated, and have been for weeks now.

my mom only gained 20 pounds...I hit the 20 pound mark a month ago...lol
I'll be nice to be able to go back to the diet I had before...which was pretty healthy...I've just been craving all this crap that I normally never ate before...lol

jen115 - Friday, 15 Feb
yeah...I should cut back on the oreos...hopefully Iwon't gain more then 35 pounds...I just don't want to have to work that hard to loose all this weight after the baby is born...

Gabrielle - Thursday, 14 Feb
I am so sorry to hear that you and your poor little guy are still suffering with being sick!! I would definately ask the doctor if there is anything you can take and if there is anything else you can try for Tanner, too. I hope you both start feeling better soon!!

Thanks for the comment about my pics...sometimes I feel huge and sometimes I look at other women and feel like I barely look pregnant at all. It's strange.

30 MORE DAYS until Nate gets home!! It seems do-able, but still a long time. I haven't heard from him in a few days and I tend to worry (which I know is not good for me or for Rivers). And I think Rivers is missing him, too, because he has not been moving as much since he left...he just started being more active again yesterday. I wonder if even before they are born they can miss someone. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! I'll talk to you soon! :o)

jen115 - Thursday, 14 Feb
yeah...I think I'm gonna go buy the book when we go get the stroller and car seat...
my doctor's appointment is on the 20th...I'm scared to see how much I weigh...I think so far I've gained over 25 pounds...eeekkkk! I'ver never seen the scale go that high...lol - oh well...the diet after the baby will be lots of fun....lol...maybe I should stop munching on oreos all day long...lol
:o)

mavy143 - Thursday, 14 Feb
Lunch sounds great! Especially since it will give a nice little break during the day!
My Valentine's day os going to suck! Hubby got into a car accident this morining on his way to work...so he is in a poopie mood. He read my card this morning, but obviously when I talked to him after the accident the last thing on his mind was V-Day!. Oh, well!
I am marinating so tasty Filet Mignon for dinner...and hope that by the time he gets home he is not as angry! (Not that I don't blame him)
Have an awesome lunch!! Yummy....I love Olive Garden Breadsticks and Salad!!

MY inner thighs hurt so bad I can varly walk- I wish I knew what to do about it- I remember it only gets worse right?!?

MoniL - Thursday, 14 Feb
Its true, if your constipated you will hold on to that weight that needs to go.
Im a carboholic too, cereal is my fave crave-just ate a bowl of cinnamon toast cruch- I LOVE IT THOUGH everything else is too much for me to digest and I will get HBurn too.
The business is going great actually, hubby usually has to work out of town, whereever it hails. Well he's working close to home and will be home everynight & weekends.
My business is going good too, just sold a couple of ponies (mare and her little colt) today that I've trained and got them ready for children to ride- the colt is a stinker had to chase him forever:) I usually buy in the spring and the girls and I work w them till there safe for a child. Probley slack up this spring a little. I'm expecting a colt around the same time Alana will be born-that should be fun!
Are things going good for you ?? Oh yes my inner thighs are killing me, actually its those tendon things that connect to I guess my pelvic bone- IT ALL HURTS, really bad at night while trying to turn over. Its hurting now too from chasing that darn baby pony- glad to see him go. Ive taken 2 tylenols and it still hurts

MoniL - Thursday, 14 Feb
Hey there, I left you a mess back on the board. Sorry your having a bad time w that.

mavy143 - Wednesday, 13 Feb
I am doing good. Dr told me today another 8 weeks of bed rest. He wants me to go at least 37 weeks!! I understand, and what is another 8 when I have been on it for 10 already!!

I haven't heard any plans for valentines day from hubby...he is so stressed at work (Work with family...and live next door) that I am thinking it is probably going to skip his mind...but I can't really do anything special for him either....blah

Get the sitter?

jen115 - Wednesday, 13 Feb
hi
I haven't read the other book yet...I'll probably end up buying it next month...
I heard that one was good too.
:o)

Gabrielle - Friday, 8 Feb
Luckily I haven't been sick this pregnancy (except for the things that have sent me straight to labor/delivery. Normally, though, when I get sick I can call my primary doctor and he gets me in that day. Otherwise, I just go to Portsmouth Naval Hospital and get it taken care of, so I'm not really sure what to tell you :o( Too bad you can't take Mucinex or Nyquil because a combo of those would knock it right out. I hope you get to feeling better soon, though!! And, I am a wreck...I'm trying to stay positive but I'm really missing Nathan already! At least Rivers's bedding came in today so when my parents come up we can finish up the nursery...that's exciting!! Take care (and feel better) and I will talk to you soon!!!

mavy143 - Thursday, 7 Feb
Ekkk...ou have double duty...Valentine's Day and a Birthday....Get that sitter!! LOL
We can't go anywhere...as I am home bound...But hmmm....I will have to think of something. I am not going to rely n him doing anything...as honestly he has so much on his plate doing everything around here as ot is. (I will hold him to it on Mother's Day though LOL)
How are you feeling??

jen115 - Thursday, 7 Feb
Good morning.
hope you're feeling better...and I hope you eventually get the nap you need. :o)
I would defintely buy the book...I got mine as a gift from one of my managers (she had a baby last year) she told me that she hates reading...but she couldn't put this book down...I'm actually going to read it again...
:o)

MoniL - Thursday, 7 Feb
I think sibling classes are a great idea, my girls are scheduled the end of March for them. I bet your son will be a great big brother- he looks soooo sweet and yall look like a happy family. You should take as many naps as you can, prepare yourself for those for when baby gets here. We'll be living on cat naps then... I left you a mess earlier about the sling/cover.. you get it??

mavy143 - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Thanks...I think that is how I am going to look at it...The more I gain the bigger and healthier she will be!! Of course within reason....I won't go jump on the dessert tray!!

So, do you guys have any plans for Valentine's Day?

firsttimeinvonda - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Thank you I will let everyone know what I find out tomorrow after my U/s. How are you feeling lately?

jen115 - Wednesday, 6 Feb
glad you're doing a little better.
:o)
hopefully you'll be able to cough up everything...

MoniL - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Hey girl,
We live by the weather, thats our livlyhood LOL! We own a bussiness that rapairs Hail Damaged autos across the US and Europe. So Im always doing business with insurance comps and dealerships, thats my end of the business, repairing the cars is what my hubby and the workers do. So if you ever hear of any hail damage inform me, thats less work I have to do- LOL... Its a little harder to go from 1-2 kids and to be the only one there, but they have someone to play with now and it is actually easier for me that way, luckily my girls get along really well, so they have been a joy to raise- so far. My oldest is usually the one to get annoyed, shes 11 and thinks she shouldnt play dolls etc. anymore, but then her sister will give her this little sad face and they're gone to play. Its hard the first month or two of course, getting baby adjusted to your schedule, but Im sure you'll do just fine:)

jen115 - Wednesday, 6 Feb
you should definitely read that book...I loved it...it was so funny...
Hope you're feeling better today. I know what you mean about waiting rooms...I'd rather be miserable at home then a waiting room...I probably should have gone to the hospital last week (dehydration from the stomach flue) but I didn't want to be in a strange place feeling like crap...probably not too smart..but oh well...lol

MoniL - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Well that just stinks!! Are you taking OTC meds ?? Looks like I'll be abbanded for a while. We own a business handeling hail damaged autos and he has to leave for a few days, there has been alot of storms tonight. I am gonna be wore out taking care of the kiddos alone, but then again thats almost like getting rid of a kid-huh LOL- maybe Ill be able to get more rest.

marina - Tuesday, 5 Feb
I noticed your comment on another page and it sounded like you had questions about prenatal massages? We had our first lamaze class last night at the hospital and a licensed massage therapist who works at the hospital came to teach us about it during the second half of the class. Someone asked about prenatal massages and she said to just lay on your side, and make sure the therapist is familiar with massaging pregnant women, and an unscented (grapeseed) oil is best, since fragrances in the oil could possibly get into your bloodstream through your pores from the close contact/rubbing motion of a massage. ALSO, do not let them massage your feet or hands as some people believe there may be pressure points in these areas that induce labor - same goes for pedicures - be careful of them rubbing your feet too much. Let me know if you have any other questions about it..

Gabrielle - Tuesday, 5 Feb
I'm glad Tanner is feeling better now. That really stinks about you having 'the crud' the whole pregnancy. Sometimes I wonder why doctors make the big bucks. I haven't been having too much trouble with my back lately, but when I wake up in the mornings my stomach kills me!! I think it is all of the weight stretching on one side all night, but it STINKS!! I hope the iron will help. If it stops you up too bad, ask the doctor about ferro-sequels iron (it has something in it to help)...I swear I go more often now then I did before :o) I go back to the doctor tomorrow for the 28 weeks appt (about a week late, but oh well). Then Nate leaves for 1 1/2 months in Korea on Thursday morning. Not really looking forward to that, but with my bff moving to VA on the 17th and my parents coming down for a couple of days on the 22nd I should make it :o) I hope you keep feeling good, and I'll talk to you soon!!

MoniL - Tuesday, 5 Feb
Sounds like you def need some meds. or maybe an antibiotic. My little one is out of school sick w a cold. Robatussin always knocks chest conjestion out for her. But Im not sure if we can take that during pregnancy. Maybe I need to do the splits my pelvis is killing me today. After my walk this morning it felt like they were splitting in half and throbbing. My doc says that normal- Ughh! I wish I couldve found a female doc, that has had a 9.7lb baby before so I could get a little sympathy :)

jen115 - Tuesday, 5 Feb
and...yes...I would definitley get over to the doc's office asap.
:o)
feel better soon.
