Do you mean bottle as in put the breastmilk in the bottle after you pump or formula? If you're talking about pumping and putting it in a bottle, it wasn't confusing for Kammy, she was able to go back and forth with no problem. If you're talking about bottle feeding with formula and breastfeeding too I think you're talking about when some people breastfeed predominately and then supplement with formula at times. Maybe if they can't breastfeed they can supplement a meal here and there with formula or if their breast doesn't produce enough milk for the baby, they'll breastfeed first and then finish the meal with formula. I think its fine if you want to do that, the only thing is breastmilk is unlike any other formula and their bellies are soo small, some babies don't take too well to switching out like that and it can upset their tummy. Every baby is different so if you are going to do that, just find a formula that doesn't upset his tummy. I tried supplementing one day and gave Kammy one bottle of the Similac Advance with Iron and when I went back to the breastmilk, she vomitted all over the place girl. She literally threw up her next three feedings of breastmilk. I think that her tummy was sooo used to the breastmilk, it rejected the Similac advance because it was like going from one extreme to the next. Plus, breastmilk is really thin and that formula is thick and it just didn't sit well with her. So I tried the Similac Isomil Advance (Soy) and its a lot thinner than the regular cow's milk and she had no problem digesting that one. I've said all that to say, if you choose to supplement, just find something that works for him. It wasn't confusing for her at all - she would eat whatever I put in front of her girl - she's greedy like that - LOLOL! The only confusion would come in at the beginning when I would transfer her back and forth from the bottle to the nipple and sometimes she would be confused as it how she needed to position her mouth for the feeding. Should she open wide for the nipple and latch or just open her mouth a little bit for the bottle and suck? It was a bit frustrating for her until she got used to it girl. I will say that the Avent bottles helped me with going back and forth because their much wider than most bottles so she still has to open wide either way it goes. Closer resemblence to the breast. Ggggguuuuurrrrlllll - running thangs over her is a true understatement! She is the Teacher, the President, the HNIC with all that that entails honey! Did you see those looks that she's given me on those pictures. She already has pizazz and attitude already girl! OMG - I need a moment of silence cause she makes me sooo proud - fiesty just like her mamma!!!

I'm going to try to rest.But I don't think I'm going to be able to.Matter of fact,I'm tired right now,and I feel like there is so much I have to do still.(little things like making sure the batteries are charged for the camcorder.)
Oh,and now I don't know if I need to pack the baby another outfit,since the doctor said she is 8 lbs already! My husband said that;s just an estimate,so what I did was packed one NB (5-8 lbs) and one 0-3 months(up to 12 lbs)
I'm getting frustrated.I will be getting my nails done ASAP.(to relax) a

thanks girl all is well with me and the lil bean we had a a scare the other night i was bleeding like mad after hubby and i had sex....

: im so mad cuz now im really not having sex for 7 more months..lol but yeah we went to the doc the next day and all was well the baby is there with a hb and all i just have to take it easy. how are u and the lil one?

I am having a girl. She weighs one pound so far. She was sucking on something and then opened her mouth and waved. It was so cute. The ultrasound tech got so involved that she lost track of what she was doing. She said ok let me get back to work and measure your baby. lol
