Hi there mums to be, My name is Natasha. I got married to my high school sweetheart on the 22nd of September 2007. We found out on the 8th of March 2008 that we were pregnant. This is our first pregnancy and we are so excited. Our little one is expected on the 16th of Noveber 2008, a day before my birthday, so I'm secretly praying that I am a day overdue. It would be the best bithday present ever.

Wednesday, 14 May hi honey :) no worries! glad to have helped. I think the key to this whole pregnancy thing is to just relax, and not worry about being too rigid... it's a natural process :) I was talking to a girl at work, who is pregnant with her third. She said she was VERY strict on her first, a little less on her second, and with this one, she's just enjoying it and eating/doing what she wants lol - within reason obviously. I'll take her advice anyday :)
Hope you're doing okay and that PG is treating you well! ali-with-B3 -
Tuesday, 6 May It's okay to eat cheese, as your body is probably craving calcium. I'm taking a liquid calcium supplement because I don't drink milk. If your worried about the extra pounds go for something like that at about a half dose. You can never have enough calcuim during pregnancy! ....also interesting to know, calcium is one of those substances that flushes fat out of your system. One study showed that if you double your calcium intake you decrease your fat absorbtion by half. So half that fat just flushes out! Best of luck to you! nancy26 -
Tuesday, 6 May Hey tash – congrats! Relax on the cheese issue… Try to cut down what you eat, but there’s no real reason to cut out soft cheese completely. I’ve eaten Brie all the way through my PG and my lil guy is fine. In fact when my Doc went through the list of “no-no”s, he sort of frowned at the cheese, and said that in all his years as a doctor he’s never known ANY pregnant woman to get sick or her baby to have side effects as a result of soft cheese, and that it was okay to keep eating it, as long as it’s in moderation (I have it about once a week to once every two weeks). Honestly your chances of getting sick off it are statistically so low, but they tell you not to to cover their backsides just in case. Anyhoo, just my opinion :) All the best!

Thursday, 1 May My sister has had 3 and it's been a surprise for her with all of them. They all ended up being girls! She thinks I'm nuts for finding out. I'm just too impatient and I couldn't wait. I would've been thrilled with a boy or girl, I just wanted things pink or blue...not, green and yellow. My friend is due a few days before me and they don't know what they're having either. I think the suspense is killing me more than them! Good luck! Mommy@33 -

Tuesday, 22 April You can't go by the heart rate. My little girl had me thinking she was a boy until I was 20 weeks along. It all depends on the baby's activity when they take it. If they are wild it will be higher but if they are sleeping it will be lower. Like I said, I just knew I had a boy and then WHAM! It's a GIRL! It was like finding out I was pregnant all over again. And, I mean this, sleep while you can, I have 10 weeks to go and I can never get comfy enough to really sleep good. Best wishes and I hope you get a healthy little angel!!! Mommy@33 -
Tuesday, 22 April Regarding the heart rate, there are old wives tales, but none is really scientifically accurate. The earlier on in your pregnancy you are the higher the heart rate. As your baby grows and gets larger the heart rate will slow. Old wives tales say that the higher heart rate is a girl and slower is a boy, but like I said this is not very accurate. I'm having a girl and her heart rate is in the 130s. amygirl22 -
