Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Thursday, 24 July I think I am experiencing the same thing with the hem you have extending into the vag. Did you get any feedback on it or have it checked out? Just trying to clear up what I may have.
Thanks! LissaJurgens -
Wednesday, 9 April I have the same swollen down there, pain, and pressure. I take warm baths twice a night (once when I get home from work and then again 2 hours later before bed). I also sit on ice all day and usually put ice between my legs to sleep at night. It is very painful. The contractions I am having aren't as bad as the other pain sometimes. My Dr. said not to look down there- because it will scare you how swollen you can get. It is normal. I have been this way for 3-4 weeks now. I am almost done with early labor! aimallen -
Wednesday, 9 April Yeah, she said that most pregnancy varicose veins get better after the baby's born. I would mention it to your doc next time you go just incase its something else though. aimallen -
Tuesday, 8 April I was talking to my midwife last week about varicose veins (i have a HUGE one at the back of my knee!) and she said you can get them everywhere (even down there!) I bet thats what it is. Momaem -
Tuesday, 8 April hey there just thought i would let you know i had the same thing going on. Doc said it was a ruptured vericose vein, yup we can even get them there lol. Good luck barbi -
Monday, 24 Mar Thanks for your response, it makes me feel better knowing it is normal. Everyone keeps saying how small I am so I can't help but get worried... teenybaby -
Thursday, 13 Mar Thanks everyone for responding. Not that I am glad that you are experiencing the same as me, but I am glad to know I am not alone. It sure is frustrating, especially since he is normally the go getter in our relationship. Just wait till he thinks he can have sex shortly after birth and I am the one saying sorry you will have to wait for a few weeks yet. prose -
Wednesday, 12 Mar hello, yeeesss my husband is the same way, this is our third but around this time of the pregnancy he feels uncomfortable about intercourse, I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!!!I always reassure him that it is not harming the baby, but he still doesn't want to. Even cuddling is rare, i keep saying this is NOT fair, i'm doing the hard work here i need a little of something! I'm glad i'm not the only one is going through this... winnowillr -
Wednesday, 12 Mar Due to my health, our baby is being adopted. Because of this, my husband is afraid to get attached to the baby, so he has been avoiding physical contact with me. He won't even lie next to me in bed to snuggle anymore, he sleeps with his head at the foot of the bed. I can't talk about the pregnancy without him going in the other room. So yes, I do understand what it feels like to be deprived of the affection I need so dearly right now.

Wednesday, 12 Mar My husband will touch my belly but we haven't had sex in like 2 or 3 months. We tried about 2 months ago and it weirded him out. Oh well. Another thing to look foward to. (sorry if TMI) mhaley85 -
Wednesday, 12 Mar My boyfriend treats me the same way. We haven't had intercourse since december and he freaks out at anything that I do. If I barely poke my belly to get her to move he screams and says 'your going to hurt her' he doesn't understand that if I'm not hurting she's definately not hurting. He'll talk to my belly and put his hand on there but if I push his hand a little bit he pulls away. I can't even dance just a little if I hear a good song. He thinks I'm going to bounce the baby out of me :-). I know what you are going through. Good luck!! irishblonde77 -
Tuesday, 11 Mar Hi There. My hubby was totally freaked out too! We just started watching an 'at home' birthing class dvd. The woman at one point directed her attention to the men and went over all the myths about pregnancy and sex. I kid you not, we finally had sex after 6 months!!! Just try to communicate with him and ask him to lie down naked with you just to feel each other. I know how are you feeling. Good luck!!! OurBabyBean0508 -
Tuesday, 11 Mar My bf is totally freaked out too. This is my 2nd baby, but it's his first and so everything is new to him and he's just totally weirded out by the fact that there is a baby in there. He loves to talk to my belly and feel her roll / kick, but when it comes to intimacy there is just NOTHING going on. Our sex life came to a crashing halt in mid December. I'm just trying to be understanding and looking forward to August (when hopefully I can get me some). LOL Good luck doll! babyboysmama -
Tuesday, 11 Mar Yes. I am having the same exact problem. My boyfriend Mike is so weirded out by the fact the baby is in my stomach and it actually hurts my feelins a bit, even though I know it shouldn't. We have not had sex since Jan, and whenever I asked him to feel the baby kick, he says no, he just can't. He only felt the baby kick one time and it was by accident. He was rubbing my belly when the baby kicked and it moved his hand away immediately and stopped the rubbing. I'm trying to be understanding b/c this is all very new for him too, but I just want him to be as excited about the kicks and squirming around as I am.
