Glad to hear I'm not the only one having trouble sleeping at night. I don't look forward to it anymore. My husband rubs my back and belly...and I've stolen one of his pillows..so now I have three but still. I like to sleep on my stomach..miss it so bad. Just 4 more months!

Oh thats good to hear that because I was worried if my baby was starving. You know whats weird too, is that i was more hungry when i wasnt pregnant than i am now. I have to really make myself eat. I just can't wait to deliver so we dont have to worry! hahaha!!!

I have had two vag births, and will have one this time around too, unless the baby gets stressed of course. I wouldn't ask for a section ever, the healing process is incredible, and the scar you are left with is not pretty either. A lot of my friends had sections, and recovering from major surgery with a baby to take care of would be hard. I ahve heard you are not supposed to even lift up your newborn. Even though I have had the 2 vag deliveries, I still think about it and get a little scared. But in the moment of labour, you won't care about being scared, you will just want your baby to be born. I think I am more scared of the possibility of having to have an epidural than a vag birth though. When labour arrives, your partner will be there to rub ehatever body part needs its, and also you can huff on the laughing gas which makes the contractions manageable. You just will need to remember that the contractions come and go, and you are not in steady/constant pain. What I did was picture my babies head crowning the whole time I was in labour, and had short labours with both. The power of your mind and positive thinking is incredible. You will do fine. If the pain of labour is scarier than the thought of them sticking a needle into your back, maybe have the epidural right away, but keep in mind that if you are numb and can't really feel anything, it might make your labour last longer since the contractions may be weaker from the numbness. Just a thought, a little advice from someone who has been there, with pretty much natural births. I had a shot of demerol with my first, but that made me sick and a little high, not fun at all.

I just read what you wrote in Week 21!! I am the same exact way, as far as pain goes. I have been having the worst back pain and sometimes I feel it in my butt too - it's hard to explain LOL. But it's quite sore and painful to sit, stand, walk, lay down, etc. UGH!!!!

Also, I am 21wks and I have gained 15.5lbs -- my doc told me to watch how fast I gain bc I should be between 10-14lbs. I'll be 22wks on Friday. So he suggested I take up walking. I'm just watching my "junk food" intake and I'm going to start walking here soon... I'm getting ready to leave on two trips.

My delivery was anything but normal. I had a vaginal delivery with my 2 boys and ended up having to have an emergency c-section with Emma. If this is your 1st child I think you will be fine on your own, just remember if things seem to get overwhelming just take a deep breath and remember that you have a beautiful baby & that it can only get better.

I would say you are safe with shopping for a girl. I have 2 boys and a new baby girl and you can tell at around 14 weeks if it's a boy. Trust me the boy parts are 100% obvious.
When I had my ultrasound at 19 weeks they told me that I was 100% having a girl.

Hi there, read your comment, and congrats on your little girl. U can be 99% sure it is a girl, parts start forming at 14 weeks to their final shape and from week 16 they can say boy or girl. We're having a little boy, his name Aiden. Have u got any names picked out. Good luck and i'll see u in week 20 2morrow.

hey thanks for the reply .I do have bumps around my pelvic region and the belly button has almost popped out.I feel like i'm having a big tummy.Anyway,haven't got any itches.So far so good .Yes ,i think by the beginning of 15th week my appetite has been improved.You got nice pictures.Congrats on pregnancy.enjoy

Hay congrats on your pregnancy!!!! I'v put on a stone, I kept eating little & often to combat the m/s but now i'm hungry all the time... dont worry too much it usualy comes off quite quickly after baby when you breast feed. Heaps of baby dust*****************
