Christmas Glitter Graphics

My name is Teresa, I am a school teacher and a high school cheerleading coach, and I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband Doug. We have 2 boys who are our world. We have recently decided to expand our family, although we haven't had much luck. I miscarried back in Aug. on my first day of school (I am a school teacher) and did manage (with much pain and bleeding) to make it 1/2 day. I became pregnant again in December, and went for a routine ultrasound at 9 weeks feeling great, and was shocked to hear the tech say there was nothing there but an empty sac. I was absolutely devastated! We are currently ttc again, and hopefully with some luck and prayers, I will become pregnant again, and be able to carry full term. I am really hoping to add a litle girl to our family!
Thursday, July 5th **** I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! Unfortunately, I got my period yesterday, so we'll be trying again next month. Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be leaving for vacation, and won't be having access to a computer. I am looking forward to a fun, relaxing time at the beach with my husband, boys, and parents. I'll be back next weekend, and will be looking forward to hearing from everyone! To everyone ttc, GOOD LUCK and LOTS of BABY DUST again this month, and to those lucky few who did get pregnant this month, I'm so happy for you and will keep you in my thoughts for a successful pregnancy this time around.
Saturday, July 14th **** Well we are back from vacation and had a FANTASTIC time! I absolutely love the ocean and sitting in the sun all day doing absolutely nothing. The boys had a great time too....They kept Doug and I very busy: Going to the ocean, playing in the sand, swimming in our pool, visiting a water park, going to the arcade, and going minature golfing 5 times. (Yes, my boys love golfing and were amazed at all the different courses) We all hated to come home, but we know it's back to the real world now. During the entire week, I really didn't think about getting pregnant, but we will be ttc again this month and probably won't find out until the beginning of August.......

Thursday, August 2nd****

I'm in shock!!! I tested last night because I ovulated so early this month, so I thought I should start earlier than I normally do. I only bought a cheap test and it came back a very faint positive. So today I bought the digital PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT test and sure enough, I'm PREGNANT! It's weird though because I am more nervous and scared than anything. After losing my last 2 pregnancies, I don't feel the excitement yet as I used to when I had seen that positive. I'm very thankful my prayers have been answered, now hopefully the other part of my prayers can be answered as well......that I'm able to bring a healthy baby into our family. I made a dr. appt. for Aug. 13, to have my levels checked and possibly do an ultrasound. Not too much longer to wait......but it can't come soon enough!!!!

In the weeks to come, I may ramble on a bit more than usual, but this will be my only release of everything I am feeling and going through with this pregnancy (besides my husband and mother). I've learned not to say anything to anyone (not even friends) about being pregnant. Word gets around too quickly...It was easier with the last miscarriage when not too many people knew. This site has been such a big help to me and I have met so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone for you advice, encouragement, and support.

8/12/07 : I had my first dr. appt. today. I know that I'm still pretty early, so I wasn't sure what exactly they would do. She did do a ultrasound and saw the yolk sac which was a good sign, and all that she expected to see at this point.( I thought I was going to throw up before the ultrasound because I was so scared...I haven't had much luck with those things.) I also had some blood work done and will do more on Wed. to make sure they are doubling as they should. I'm scheduled for another appt. with the doc and an ultrasound in 2 weeks, so hopefully all goes well until then.

. 8/16/07: Well, I'm in tears and fearful that things aren't going to work AGAIN. Dr. just called and said my numbers went from 13,900 to only 18,000, although she told me she believes it's not accurate and is a lab error due to my blood sitting over night. I'm going in tomorrow morning to repeat and she will have results back in 2 hours. All I could do is cry because I've been down this road before. I know there is nothing I can do, except pray as I have been from the very start. Please keep your fingers crossed for me....I will let you know my results tomorrow. (However she did tell me my progesterone was very good at 32).

8/17 Sorry it took me so long to get on here, but we had made plans to take the boys school shopping at an oulet 2 hours away. Well, I'm VERY H APPY to report that my levels were 31,000 today. The doc says she feels much better about this number (and I do too....at least for now). But, she also said she can not guarantee that everything will continue to go well, which I understand. I don't think I'll ever feel completely at a safe point in this pregnancy. I had my mind set to expect the worst today, but I prayed and hoped for the best. I was a mess all day....my stomach felt like it was in a knot until I got the phone call. I'm very glad this day is behind me. Now, I will be anxiously waiting for Aug. 29th to arrive so we can do an ultrasound, and hopefully I will be able to see my baby

8/29/07 ULTRASOUND LOOKED GREAT TODAY! I saw my baby with a strong beating heart, and dr. said everything looks really good and is as it should be. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow, which is only 1 day off from the original date I was given. I'm still feeling really good besides from the tiredness, especially now that I am back to work. But I can handle anything as long as baby is doing well. I am getting a noticible pouch which I never thought I got this early. Hope I can keep things hidden until at least 12 weeks, just to make sure.

10/12/07 Just updating since I haven't in a while. I've barely had any morning sickness through this pregnancy. There were those mornings and days that I felt sick and did some gagging, but nothing too bad. I notice I can't drink orange juice anymore for breakfast ....which is something I drank every morning. For the past couple weeks, my lower back has been hurting, and today it is really bothering me....almost scares me a little. A friend at school told me she had the same thing during her pregnancy and was told to drink alot more water.....I'm willing to try it. I am showing and have gotten some maternity clothes, although I can still sorta fit into my jeans since most are very low wasted. My boys know they will soon have a new brother and sister. Dylan wants a brother (another one to pick on) and when Carson sees 'girly' things on t.v. he comments that he will buy it for his baby sister. Some girl things would be nice for a change, but we shall see. Overall I love being pregnant.....always have! I'm trying to take it easy and not stress out about anything at work or home. I continue to pray everyday for a healthy baby and am so thankful to be pregnant!

10/12/07 I've just returned from my appt. (I'm officially 15 weeks, 5 days) and all is well. We heard a wonderful heartbeat, about 152..........does it sound like a girl? And I've gained another 4 pounds (not so good). This brings my total weight gain to 7 pounds. The dr. I saw today prefers to do an ultrasound closer to 20 weeks, to see more on the baby's development. So, my next appt. is NOVEMBER 19th. I made an evening appt. so Doug and the boys will be able to go too. We'll all find out together what the new addition to our family will be!

11/5/07 This weekend, my family took a mini vacation to Niagra Falls, Canada. It was a nice weekend getaway. We did a lot with the boys, and Doug and I did a little gambling ourselves. I've been feeling good for the most part. Still having some blemishes pop up on the face every now and then, and my lower back is still aching......and the ride up there did not help. Getting bigger and bigger and loving it! I absolutely can not wait for the 19th to get here....feels like forever away! I've been tossing around some nursery ideas....(mostly boys) since that what I'm used to. I'm trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up on having my little girl. With my luck, they won't even be able to tell the sex........although with both boys I sugared up before the ultrasound to get them moving, and they were both spread eagle. As long as I hear that baby is healthy and developing normally is what is most important. HURRY UP NOVEMBER 19TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11/14/07 I've been getting a little worried because I haven't felt the baby moving. I was feeling the flutters around 13-14 weeks, but thouoght I should have been feeling more movement at this point. The last two nights, however, I felt some kicking....but it was for such a short time and didn't happen very often. Only a few here and there.....I'm hoping to start feeling the baby more........to put my mind at ease, and because I love being reminded that a wonderful person is growing inside of me. 5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'M STILL IN COMPLETE SHOCK BUT THEY WERE VERY SURE AT WHAT THEY SAW! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, BABY IS HEALTHY AND GROWING RIGHT ON SCHEDULE. HE STILL EXPECTED MY DUE DATE TO BE APRIL 8TH-10TH. Dylan and Carson were so funny during the scan. They kept saying things like,'How did that ice cream cone get in your belly? And 'why does the baby look like an alien with black eyes? Dylan told Carson to cross his fingers really tight and he just knew it would be a boy . I don't think those two stopped talking the entire time. I forgot how truly amazing those scans were. They even did some 3-D pics which were truly amazing...I never had those with either boy. The baby was very active which was good to see since I'm not really feeling much movement yet and the HB was about 145. I gained another 4.5 p ounds which brings my total weight gain to 12 pounds.......I guess not bad!
I have SO much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Not only have I been blessed with 2 WONDERFUL boys, but hopefully a HEALTHY baby girl as well. My prayers have been answered and I am truly thankful for what I have been given.
11/25/07...Bit of a scare today. After returning home from a nice lunch with Doug, the boys, and my mom, I ended up in the bathroom with horrible cramping, from being constapated. I had sharp, stabbing pains in my stomach and at one point I thought I was going to throw up. Turns out, I found myself laying on the bathroom floor with Doug over me, yelling my name. I somehow blacked out, and passed out, and I do not remember one thing. It took me awhile to come around, and when I did, I was so worried about the baby. I don't know exactly how hard I fell, but it was hard enough for Doug to hear and come running. I went to the ER and baby's heartbeat was nice and strong ( in the 150's). I was VERY relieved. I'm going to call my OB tomorrow to see if there's something they can give me for constipation. I never was like that with my boys, but I've heard many women get this way. I do not want this to happen again.......way too scary!!!!!! I'll continue to pray that my little girl is o.k.

12/5/07...YIPEE!!!!!!!! My morning began with a 2 hour delay, which I was pretty excited about, but that soon turned into SCHOOL BEING CANCELED. So, It's just me and the boys today hanging out and relaxing (at least I'm trying to). I was supposed to have a follow up appt. today from my little accident almost a week ago, but they called to cancel that as well. I'm hoping to get to Target later to buy a plain, red or green long sleeve t shirt. I bought a 'Merry Christmas' iron on.....I really can't find any holiday shirts, and being a teacher, I love to wear them this time of year.

1/3/08..HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! And we're starting the year off right.....another snow day today. This gave me a chance to mess with my camera on the computer (something I've never done). I've added some pics from the holidays, and hopefully soon I'll post a belly pic! I'm going Monday for another ultrasound just to make sure SHE is still there. I've held off beginning the nursery, but do have things picked out. I can't wait!

1/7/07...I had an ultrasound done today just to convince myself that we're having a little girl, and we indeed are! She was moving around like crazy...so much in fact the tech couldn't get her heartbeat because she wasn't still for a minute! It was so amazing to see....I even caught her with a great big yawn! We did get 1 good picture, but it was too difficult with all the movement. I'm trying to post it on here, but I'm having some difficulty (but I'll figure it out somehow!) She weighs 2 pounds and 4 ounces and everything seems to look good! Now I will officially start buying like crazy!!!!!!!!!!

WE HAVE FINALLY CHOSEN A NAME (although I think I knew it all along)

1/21/08...Just got back from my dr. appt. (almost 29 weeks now) and Bria is doing great. Unfortunately, I've now gained 25 pounds, but I'll worry about that later. As long as my baby is growing and healthy, that's all that matters. I also had to take the 1 hour glucose test, but won't know the results for a couple days. My nursery bedding came in (pink and green), but still waiting on a few accessories. I've ordered a new crib and dresser/changing table and am waiting for that to arrive. I need to decide on carpeting and wall colors now so we can begin to make it a room fit for our little girl. We've also bought a new carseat/stroller (pink......imagine that!) because mine was 7 years old and I was told they've made some changes in carseats since then. I will now be seeing the doctor every 2 weeks from this point on.....which really made me realize how close I'm getting. Next appt. is Feb. 4th.

2/5/08...Everything was fine at my appt. yesterday. Bria is doing good...heartrate and measurements were all normal. I gained only 2 pounds since my last appt. which I was happy about. Aside from the back cramps and somewhat swollen legs, all is well with my pregnancy. Everything is officially picked out for the nursery, now it's just getting everyone to do their job, so things can get done. I need the electrician to put in the chandelier, next will be the painting, then carpeting, and finally the furniture and decorating. All the furniture is in, but still in boxes. I'm anxious about getting everything done, and am starting to feel like I'm running out of time. I found an outfit I think I will be bringing her home in.......it is the CUTEST!! I'll post a pic of it in my photos tonight. Of course, if she comes early, like say in March, I'll need a back up !!!

2/18/08...Routine dr. appt. today. Another 3 pounds gained:( so that brings my total to 28 pounds. Blood pressure, measurements, etc. are all normal. I'm in and out of the office in like 10 minutes. But I do love hearing that little heart beating! I also pre-registered at the hospital today, which made everything seem so real. They also gave me a tour of the floor since this will be my first time delivering at this hospital. Bria is VERY active...kicking and moving alot these days. Doug made a comment last night about my hand always being on my stomach....I just cant' help it. I love feeling all her movements. This weekend, Doug put together the dresser/changing table and the dollhouse bookshelf. The room is being pained tomorrow and I'm sooooo excited to see it once it's done. Carpet has been orderd and they will be measuring for that Wed. The chandelier is being put up on Saturday. We'll put the crib together once the new carpet is down. Can't believe only 7 more weeks. I think the weeks have been going very fast........hope that continues!

3/15/07...Had my 36 week appt. on Thursday. I had the strep B done and he also did an internal exam. No dialation yet, but he felt her head so she's in position. I've definately noticed that she has dropped. I've also been experiencing VERY BAD pains in my right lower back. It hurts whether I'm sitting or standing. My bags are packed and ready to go. I guess at this point, it could be any time now, especially since this is my third. He said things would probably progress alot more rapidly. My co workers had a surprise baby shower for me on Friday....They had a big cake, decorated, and even made favors. I got sooo many nice things, and all those little things I haven't gotten yet. I'm really ready for her to be here. I'm thinking I better do all my Easter Bunny shopping soon, just in case I wouldn't be around. The bunny will still have to come with or without me at home!

********I've posted pictures of Bria's nursery. Just click on Latest Photos at the top of the page, then click Nursery Rooms. It's titled "Bria's Room."

******** I re-arranged some furniture in the nursery, and we also finally put the mirror up over the changing table. The little changes make a big difference.....so check it out if you'd like. The only thing I'll be adding for now is a cushioned chair that is of course pink and green and says"princess."

3/28/08...What a night! I've been having MAJOR back cramps (menstrual like) since Wed. I know I'm going to have back labor because I had it with my boys, but I never felt anything like this that is so consistent. My doc said to go get checked to see what's going on. When we arrived, the monitor showed I was having contractions 7 minutes apart....but I wasn't really feeling them. THat's what scares me!! I was also 2 cm dialated and 80% effaced. So, they admitted me. After being there for 4 hours, another nurse came in and said I hadn't changed and I probably wouldn't be delivering tonight, so they let me come home. Now, my back is still cramping, and I don't know how far apart my contractions are because I'm not really feeling them in my abdomen. I am in early labor, but how long will I have to endure these cramps? I really hope something happens soon.......

3/30/08....Lost my mucus plug this morning! I never had this happen w hen pregnant with either of my boys. Still feeling very crampy this morning. I was starting to feel some contractions last night, but nothing regular.

4/2/08...Went to Dr. today, and he doesn't want to induce yet since I'm not due till next Thursday. My cervix is not cooperating, even though my back is still cramping. On top of it, I now have this horrible cough. I was coughing so hard, I must have pulled something on my lower right side. When I cough the tiniest bit, it hurts SO bad...I'm talking excruciating pain! I pray that it goes away soon. I'm also still working because I don't GET maternity leave....I have to use accumulated sick days, and I need those after she's born. He said he"probably won't let me go past my due date." He also said there's still a chance I could go into labor on my own, but I'm not hopeful of that happening. So, back to the doc Monday to see what we're going to do. I'm getting so anxious now....I know it's all worth it...we're just so excited to meet our newest addition!

4/7/08....O.K., here's how my appt. went today. My cervix is finally thinned out (yea!!) which is progress from my last visit. I go back to be checked on Friday. He's hoping I go into labor on my own this week. However, he said if nothing comes of it, I will be induced on Monday. So, I think my last day of school will be Thursday, and hopefully this time next week (or sooner) I will be holding my little girl.

SHE HAS ARRIVED....

MISS BRIA ANNE

BORN: 4-14 08

3:27 AM

7LB 12oz

birth story listed under children!!!

4-28-08.....Well, Bria is 2 weeks old today! Things are going really well....we just love her to pieces! Dylan is very helpful and likes to hold her, and Carson walks past her and tells her that he loves her quite often. It has been a very easy adjustment bringing her home, she just fit right in. She sleeps most of the day, and is up every 3-4 hours at night which isn't too bad. She is a very calm, easy baby so far...I'm enjoying my time home with her while off work. I'll be going back in 2 weeks to finish out the school year. Then I can at least look forward to having my summer off.

****I'VE ADDED SOME PICS IF YOU'D LIKE TO CHECK THEM OUT*************

Hello. We haven't moved you. We are in ythe process of packing, which is hard with a baby! I think Andrew is teething also. He constaly has his fingers in his mouth and drools everywhere. He grabs his lower teeth. I tried giving him a teething rig, but he doesn't like it. I am sure he will once they start to breaj through. I don't see anything poling through, but the bottom looks a little lighter than the top. Everytime I try to look at it, he sticks his tongue out.
I am still waiting for Andrew to sleep through the night. He only wakees up and eats a little bit, but wants to be cuddled. I only have one more week of summer school. I am so glad about that. The kids are getting on my nerves! At least it is good money! My mom and dad are coming down to help us move in. We settle on the 8th and move in and out on the 8th so it is going to be a busy busy day! But it will be well worth it. Hope things are going well with you. I hope to hear from you soon.

good morning. How are things going with you and your family? Did you get a chance to go to Sandcastle and Kennywood and Idlewild? We haven't gone anywhere. We are packing up the house and getting ready to move. I am so excited! I hate packing though and this will be my 6th time moving since I moved to Maryland 7 years ago (not including the move here.) It is a pain.
I hope things are going well for you> Andrew is getting so big! I can't believe he is 3 months old already. I can't belive that not that long ago, we were anxious for their arrival and now here they are and growing fast! I hope you have a great day!

msims - Monday, 14 July

My boys start back ball in about 2 weeks, I love that Mustang still of course!! Glad to hear you are feeling better. Grandma tried to explain some of that, but, well, you know Grandma. I understood nothing except that you were feeling better. How is your foot doing?
The doctor called yesterday and said all the bloodwork came back as normal. So no answers. I give up.It goes beyond not being able to get pregnant or carry a baby to term. I am constantly tired no matter what I do, get light headed nearly every time I stand up, and other issues. But doctors either don't believe me and tell me it is in my head, or can't find anything wrong with me. It is so frustrating.

Sarah M - Sunday, 13 July
Glad you are all ok - hope you and the boys enjoyed the movie - what was it?? I know what you mean about the weaning - found the first thing Noah doesn't like this morning - avacado on its own (with a little milk), he has had it with banana and loved it but just would not take it til I mixed it with banana this morning! We have also introduced a bottle of formula a day. We need him about to take bottles well before I go back to work. He was feeding from it ok but then we realised that he was still relying on nursing to help him sleep so we were giving bottle feeds before sleep times. He is waking in the night now and not feeding well as he's tired so we decided on another small bottle of my milk but taht means so much expressing its getting very difficult so we have substituted his bedtime feed for formula - just last night - he slept an extra 2.5 hours before waking at 4.45 so I'm hoping after a few nights and a slight increase in the amount (he only had 5oz as he's not used to the richness) he might go through til about 6/6.30 which will be ideal for when I start back at work for me to feed him before I get ready for work, then hoping he might go back to sleep til about 8 so his dad doesn't have to get up too early! I hope Bria let you go back to sleep, how does she normally sleep at night?? It's funny when you suddenly realise that people on here are not so close( although you know its easily forgotten), you left your message less than an hour ago and it was 4pm for you, its 10.20 here now!!!

Danielle M - Saturday, 12 July
Hey there, how are you? We have not talked in a while and I thought I would write and see how things are going. How is your foot?? That must have been so hard with a newborn!Did you have to have surgery?? I hope not!!Things here are going well. I started back to work, but only part time. It is still really hard, though. Owen is getting so big and he is so fun!! I can't believe he is 71/2 months old already. He only sleeps through the night every now and then. Sometimes he gets up in the middle of the night and starts to cry and then I can't get him calmed down and so I end up bringing him into the bed with us. Thank goodness he has not been sick in a while though. He did have to go on the nebulizer AGAIN (not sure if i already told you that), but so far it has been a couple of months since he has been sick. I probably just jinxed myself....lol! I do have some big news....I am pregnant....AGAIN! I can't believe it. It was not planned but we are very happy. I am just nervous about handling both of them at such an early age. My due date is March 7th so they will be about 15 months apart. Well, I guess that is about it on my end. Write back when you get a chance and let me know how everything is going. Talk to you soon. Danielle

How are you doing? Grandma was just telling my mom you were not doing well and now my mom and I are both freaked out worried about you!

Sarah M - Thursday, 10 July
Sorry about your bad start to the summer! We are doing great. Noah started on solids a couple of weeks ago, he was so ready and was starting not to put on the weight he should so we started and now he's back up! He loves it and has tried all sorts of foods, pureed fruits mixed with baby rice and some different veg (mainly mixed with potato cause we've found that helps him sleep). I know, time is passing so quick, after this week I only have 6wks at home before going back to work

Sarah M - Wednesday, 9 July
Hi, how are you all. I'm sure you are enjoying your time at home now - don't they grow up so quickly?!!!!

Preggers123 - Monday, 7 July
Hi girl sorry it took a while to get back to you my son just got 4 shots today and he is very cranky and sad. I cried with him when he got his shots I felt so sorry for him. Hoipe you guys had fun at Kennywood. I miss going there now that I have a son, I won't be going for a very long time lol.

Cristy - Sunday, 6 July
How have you been feeling? Did they say why you got the kidney stones? I hope you are feeling better now. I have never had those but have heard they are really painful.

The doctor didn't say when we could try again. I think we probably will this cycle but not like before. I am not doing the ovulation kits or anything. I will chart but that is it. I should get the results of my bloodwork on Tuesday and we will go from there. At this point, I am pretty much done. I need to move on with my life.

zobo x - Friday, 4 July

Hi! the beach was nice. The weather was sunny and hot the whole time we were there. I did get a horrible rash on my feet from my flip flops that is finally looking a little better.

I went back to the doctor yesterday. The tests found nothing. Everything came back normal so we still have no answers. He did send me for more bloodwork to check my thyroid and to see if I have a clotting disorder. My Grandma has that so it is possible that I do as well. I told the doctor that when I first saw him so I don't know why he didn't check it sooner. However, even if I do have that, it doesn't explain why I have such a difficult time getting pregnant in the first place.

Hey you. Jared and i are not going on vacation this year. We really don't have the money with the new house and everything. I really do miss going to Kennywood. That is where we had our school picnics every year and I used to go there every summer when I lived at college. It was a lot of fun. I was jsut talking about it with Jared's sister the other day. I am also working summer school. I got a call Thursday asking if I wanted a position. I had to be there Friday! Talk about last minute! It starts today for the kids but I can't be there because we are having a well inspection on the new house. They understand because I was hired late. I wanted to enjoy time with Andrew this summer, but we need the money I get from summer school. Well Andrew jsut woke up so I better go feed him. I hope you have a wonderful day.
