December 30

It is very hard to believe I am almost to the halfway mark. I am so excited! Sometimes I get upset at my DH because I feel like he is not excited, but I think it is just because I am moody. I know he is excited, but maybe he just does not show it like I feel he should. Sometimes I wander if it has even truly sank into his head yet. Maybe it will sink in better the closer to the due date we get. A little less than 2 weeks and hopefully we can find out what we are having. The first u/s was not successful at telling us the sex so we are praying the next one will be successful. I have had a gut feeling from the beginning that it is a girl. I do not care what we are having as long as the baby's healthy. My hubby wants a boy so bad he cannot stand it so more than likely it is a girl!I keep trying to tell him that he can still take a little girl golfing, fishing, and hunting just as well as he can a little boy. Oh well, he will love it the same no matter what.

Baby Gender Predictor

January 4

I have finally been feeling my little one move around regularly now! It is not like big kicks or moves, but they are enough that it makes me smile every time it happens. On New Year's Day, my husband and I decided to work on our baby's room a while. We put the crib and changing table together. Also, as bad as I hated to, I shampooed the carpet. I hate doing that! I just cannot wait until Jan. 11 when we will hopefully find out if it is a boy or girl. We both have our fingers crossed. If it is a girl then we are going to do her room in flowers. The crib set we are wanting is so beautiful. I mostly like it because it has so many bright and beautiful colors in it. We will paint the walls of the nursery a pale yellow, and paint flowers on the wall. I am so excited. If it is a boy, then we have our hearts set on a sports theme for the room. Not sure what color we will paint the room if we are having a boy though. Guess we will decide on Friday if we find out! Wish us luck :)

January 8

Well, I start my classes again tomorrow after being out for about a month for the Holidays. I am not excited at all. I think the part I dread the most os having to go to the bathroom alot! I like to carry water with me at all times just to be on the safe side, and I know I will have to get up and go the b/r during most of my classes. The good news is-this is my last semester of classes. It works out really well b/c the baby is due May 24, and I get out of school around May 5. I just hope and pray I do not have to be put on bedrest for some reason. I'll have the summer off with my little one, then I begin student teaching in August. I can imagine how much I will miss leaving my little one after spending almost 3 months at home with it. Oh well, I will be making a good life for her/him. BTW- we are supposed to find out Friday, so hopefully I can say for sure wheter it is a girl or boy.

January 11

YAY! We found out today that our little one is a GIRL! I am so very excited. DH wanted a boy but when the doc said "it's a girl", my hubby was excited. He knows she will be a daddy's girl. I was aggravating him about learning how to fix a girl's hair. I told him he can always practice on me if he wants- I love to have my hair played with. I remember when I was little, everyone knew when my dad fixed my hair because it was not the prettiest ever! I know my husband will be great with a little girl. He is going to be a good daddy. :)

March 13

Well, it has been a while since I have updated everyone. Since I started back to school after Christmas break, my life has been hectic. It is unbelievable that I only have approximately 10 weeks left until my little darling arrives. I am so excited! We are having our baby shower on March 29th. I cannot wait. We already have so many clothes for her that it is unreal. We seriously will not have to buy her any clothes until she is over 1 year old. Her room is beautiful also. It is done in butterflies. We painted a magnetic primer under the paint, so we can hang things by magnets on her wall. It will be good for when she gets older too. Anyways, I have been extremely emotional lately. I know it is just my hormones, but I get so mad at my DH for the smallest things. Hopefully, I can control them from now on though. I sure hope so!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

May 1

I cannot believe I only have three more weeks to go! Everyone keeps saying - gah you have been pregnant forever, but I honestly feel that time has flown by. It seems like yesterday I found out I was pregnant. We are as ready as can be for her though. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow, then straight from there I must go take one of my finals at school. I have so much going on it is hard to believe I am still sane. My last final is Monday! I will be able to spend the summer with my baby girl, then off to student teaching I go. It will be worth it though. I did not spend 4 1/2 years in college for nothing. I might as well get it over with. People are amazed that I am not going to take a semester off with my little girl, but I just feel that I will have three months with her, and it has to be done sometime. Why not go ahead and get it over with? Then, I will be able to help my hubby provide for us. I mean, I work now but I will be able to help alot more when I am teaching. I just can't waint til I get to hold her in my arms. It makes me tear up just thinking about her!

My daugher used to projectile poop to. I realized that it was the breastfeeding that made her stools soft and the actoin of me wiping encouraged her to push again and again the more I wiped the more she pushed. What I did was cover her bottom well with Balmex and give her an extra 10 minutes to finish up. Also wiping her with a warm wipie or warm wt towels also helped.

Wow! Morning sickness at the end! I've never had that!however i am a member of the morning sickness club! i had it very bad with Dominick and the doctor stuck me on a pill called Dicyclin. Its a small small pregnancy pill to help will the vomitting.. it worked like a charm!

i havent had anything with this baby yet, with dominick it hit me at about 9 - 15 weeks. So im guessing it may come later.. But if it doesnt ill be happy with that too!

Im so excited your getting closer.. i cant wait to see the pics and read the birth story! i hope its a piece of CaKe!

 I'm hungry now.. lol!

pinkb00h - Wednesday, 7 May
LOL well. I haven't exactly told my mom that, either. But I'm getting close to it!!

But hey, if you really do whatn your mom in there, then by all means - I'm not trying to discourage you lol. Just telling you my opinion, and what I'm doing!!

12.31.08 - Wednesday, 7 May
Aww no problem hun!
Your situations sounds identical to mine. And as time goes by she will let go more and more.. when my mom dropped me and the baby off from the hospital.. she cried her eyes out.. I was like.. aa ok this is my baby.. why you crying to leave him with me.. lol

Dont worrie.. it can be fustrating but remeber there is a line and be firm if something is making you unhappy you need to stress it.

How are you otherwise..

kash

pinkb00h - Tuesday, 6 May
yea.. a small part of me does want my mom in there, but then, I mean.. she wasn't there when we MADE the baby, so I don't want her there when the baby comes out. It may sound a little selfish, but this is something that I feel should just be shared between me and my husband. How many other times, besides the birth of your child, will it just be you and your husband experiencing something as emotional and joyous as birth??

pinkb00h - Tuesday, 6 May
My mom is driving me nuts, too. I changed my mind a few weeks ago about having her in the delivery room with me. I just want me, my husband, and w/e nurses and doctors need to be in there. Originally, I told her I wanted her in there as well. Well, after I told her, she's been acting like I did the world's worst thing to her, and she's been so distant with me and my husband, and keeps trying to make me feel guilty about not having her in there.

With her, I just kind of ignore her on the whole thing. I can't argue with her anymore. I'm too hormonal and I hit the roof before I even get started. So I guess, it depends on what you're mom or mil is doing, before I can really give you any advice on how to deal with them. If it's their stupid crazy advice that you've heard 848169412 times, and you have your own way of doing things, I'd say ignore them. Smile and nod, and just let it go through one ear and out the other. If your mom is actually trying to take over with everything that has to deal with your baby, I would probably talk to her about it, let her know that this is YOUR baby, not hers, and that you have your own way you want to do things, and that you need to do this by yourself (don't tell her you don't want help though, cuz I'm sure you'll need it, as will most of us), so you can learn to become a mother, instead of depending on her all the time.

Sorry if this is kind of all over the place, my brain has been scattered all day!! I hope it helps though, and good luck! I know how hard it can be with all these women around you, trust me! My mom is an RN, and seems to think she knows absolutely everything...

12.31.08 - Monday, 5 May
If you have everything ready to take care of her.. the rest will soon follow.. i think parenting is allot easier then some make it out to be. Everyday is insane but at the end your like "that wasnt so bad"
I was scared a little as well but mostly when i saw him.. i thought i would break him.. i have four younger brothers but the sight of a new born baby who was mine.. was scary... i remeber giving the first nurse who touched him a dirty look .. I was so prtective already..

but its not all the bad.. its so much fun!
