hey hun, just read ur message on the twin section. sorry to hear ur having a hard time. i dont know wut the rules and regs are in America as far as health and safety and rights for pregnant ppl. but in the UK u pretty much dont have to do anything if you dont want to. i work in an office so im quite lucky, but a girl in the factory is pregnant, and she has been given sitting jobs and they woont let her lift anything. visit www.direct.gov.uk im sure u shud have the same sorts of rights as any1 else :) x x x x x

Just wanted to comment on the working situation. I worked last time until 27 weeks. I have a pretty physical job and on my feet all day and I would get BHC like crazy. Anyways, I wasn't planning on going on disability leave but it seemed like all of a sudden there was just no way I was able to do my job anymore. My doc had no problem putting me on "bed rest" and took me off work (I wasn't really on bed rest but since the risk of pre-term labour is so much higher with twins he had no problem writing the letter for work). Also, he said that around 28 weeks you are about the same size of a full term 40 week singleton so it was the equivalent of working right to the end anyways and that made me feel better.

Ahh, this time I will be working until 25 weeks (but I only work outside the home one day a week and these two rascals at home are more than full time anyways). I have started to line up help at home for my last two months...well I have the last six weeks for sure taken care of, we need to know that there is someone around to take care of the girls for when I go into labour.

Congrats on the girls! All we know is that there is one boy and the other is a mystery, though I had a dream early on that it was one of each and I still call the other one a she. Hopefully we find out!

i can very much relate with the working situation! the doctor refuses to give me a letter stating my limitations! she said that its good that i stay active...personally i feel as if im too active..i get to sit down but as far as the side work that i have to do, i feel like its too much for my body! and i dont want to quit. i do to much bending, stooping, standing, reaching, etc.....it seems as if they dont ahve any sympathy for poor ol me...lol

My doc appt went fine, I actually know her a bit from the community so we mostly chatted about that stuff. Anyways, I have my next US on the 23 of April so I should find out the sex then if they all cooperate!

Congrats on Pregnancy

twinstwice - Wednesday, 5 Mar
You can only know for sure if you are having identical twins (if they share placenta/ amniotic sac) or for sure fraternal if they are boy and girl. My girls were identical and we knew early on as they shared a placenta and only had a small membrane between them. Congrats on the twins!
