My profile

WELL so far I am 8 weeks and have my first appointment on Thursday! Only like a day and a 1/2 way! The little guy was not planned and quite a surprise. We are calling him super baby so far, he made it through birth control, a 4 day weekend vacation with my friends drinking and jetskiing, and not to mention, marathon training. So life has changed around completely in the last 4 weeks since we found out, but for the better Im sure. We are planning on breaking the news to the folks in the next weekend or 2, so hopefully it goes well!

If anyone here is a runner and is pregnant, I love to talk, or if you have any advice to help me out! I was training for the Chicago Marathon in October, but seeing how I will be 15 weeks along at that point, that now has to wait. I attempted a 16 miler the week I found out and did fine, but my ankles hurt for days afterwards!! Then next weekend I tried for 18 b/c I was still dead set on running this race (and I dont want to let my cousin down since this would be our 1st marathon!!) but I got so sick at mile 7 I had to call my bf to pick me up off the trail, so I ended up walking the next couple miles until he found me :( I just havent been able to run since. My boobies are so big now they need serious restraints and my back usually hurts (for the days when I dont feel too sick from the m/s to attempt a run with the dog!) Help!

we found out last friday it's a little girlll. we're soo excited. nobody in casey's family has had a boy after him. his brother has 3 girls and this is our 2nd. her name's makynli peyton faith. peyton after her big sister watching over her in heaven and faith that we have the strength to be parents so soon after losing peyton. the dr said she's in her 70th percentile for length and 20th for weight. no suprise as peyton was in the 110th percentile for length at 2 months old and 60th for weight...baby dust and good luck to all the mommies [:

Is your husband allergic? I think the baby will take after you and its father more genetically than his siblings if he isn't allergic. I have multiple pets and always have. My two children aren't even the least bit allergic. I have also been involved with animal rescue for many years and have seen numerous animals given up because people were having babies. People who are allergic have a reaction to the dander and not the hair itself. You can cut the dander down by using baby wipes on the dog. You can get the least expensive, no fragrance baby wipes you can find and wipe the dog down with them daily. That has helped many people with mild allergies and it is easier than giving them full baths, the dogs love being rubbed. Oh yea, my mother in law was so afraid of the same thing, especially with our cats. Jokingly of course I would always say that if the baby was allergic I would have to send it back... She trusts our judgement now. Best of luck and let me know how everything is going.
