*** If you friend request me and I haven't chatted with you on the boards on multiple occasions, I will decline your request. I am all about making new friends, but with fake profiles being prolific, I am being more cautious about who I accept as a friend. I hope no one is offended.
About me...
Hubby and I have been married for 12 years as of February 6th, 2011! Yep, we're officially an old married couple! I am a stay at home mom to one wonderful little boy and a gorgeous little girl! I think I must be one of the luckiest people in the world to have been blessed with two healthy and beautiful children after battling infertility. Life is sweet!
About little Cadence...
Hubby and I started trying for our second baby soon after our son was born in 2008. I think we officially started in November 2008. I hoped that I would fall pregnant more easily the second time around, but it was still a slow process. I did things naturally for a while, but my cycles were still not regular. This time, however, instead of cycling 2 or 3 times a year I was cycling about once every 45 to 60 days, but my period would last 2 to 3 weeks at a time! AHHHHH! So I went to the doc toward the end of 2009 and we tried Clomid for 3 cycles. I never did ovulate on Clomid. I hit a really low point toward the beginning of 2010 because I felt we had exhausted our inexpensive options and because we have a son and I had quit my job to be a SAHM we could no longer afford to do the same fertility treatment we had done to conceive our son.
I decided I needed something else besides ttc to focus on so I began a weight loss effort. I lost 30 lbs in 12 weeks. During this time, I still hadn't completely given up on ttc. After doing a lot of research on my own I became curious if my PCOS-like symptoms (but without the official diagnosis of PCOS) would be effectively helped by taking Metformin. I asked my doc and he was reluctant, but finally agreed that it wouldn't hurt to try. I conceived around cycle day 45 of my FIRST Metformin cycle!
I found out on August 3, 2010 that IT'S A GIRL!
CADENCE MAXINE was born on November 24, 2010! You can read my birth story here.

About Darwin....
Hubby and I started trying to have our first baby in January of 2006. We went through a great deal to get pregnant. After months of trying on our own, 4 cycles of Clomid, and 2 IUI's we finally got pregnant! You can read more about my fertility journey in my fertility blogs.
I found out on January 16, 2008 that IT'S A BOY! I really didn't care for one or the other gender either way, but once I knew, I was thrilled! You can read about my pregnancy in my pregnancy blogs.
DARWIN PATRICK was born on May 25th, 2008 at 10:25am. He was 7lbs, 14oz and 22 inches long. He is healthy and handsome and much loved by everyone he meets! To read the whole story about his beautiful arrival into this world, read my birth story.
