Thank you for taking the time to read about us.........

I'm happy to say I have made it to week 14! The past two weeks I was out on bed rest b/c I started bleeding pretty bad. I have had two previous miscarriages so I thought it was happening again. But thank God I went to the dr & had an ultrasound & all looked good. My little one was kicking & moving as if nothing was wrong.

The dr had no really explination for the bleeding other than that I am on a medication called Lovenox which is a blood thinner so it might have thinned out my blood to much. I go back & see her on the 8th & they will decide if I should be put on this med again.

Three years ago I was blessed with the birth of my daughter McKenna. She is the greatest thing that ever happen to me. When I was pregnant with her I was on the same medication but never had bleeding. I have a blood disorder that makes my blood thick which is why the dr's think I had those 2 m/c.

McKenna is a healthy and very active three year old. We have not told her about the baby yet b/c of my "high risk" status. Besides she just turned three and has no concept of time she would ask me everyday when is the baby coming!!!! HA!HE!

As for my partner and father of my children I was also blessed. He is a loving and caring man. He is a fireman and we met on a job that we shared to gether. I had to arrest a drunk girl that pushed him b/c he was taking her drunk friend to the hospital. Our first date was her court date and we have been together since that day. I guess I owe that drunk girl a lot! HA!HE!

Now I am on desk duty b/c of my pregnancy but look forward to going back out on the streets after I have the baby.....

15 Weeks!I went to the Dr. on the 8th of Feb & we were able to hear a heartbeat. To me that is the greatest sound I can hear. I go see my specialist in 2 weeks. After that huge scare I had at 13 weeks I feel so much better about this pregnancy. I pray & hope I am able to have a healthy and full term baby. That is something that is not very easy for me to due giving my history. But I guess having a positive mental attitude is all I can have.


May 25th 2008

30 weeks! I happy to say that things are finally going great! I am really looking forward to big day when we all get to meet our little one. McKenna is so excited to be a big sister, she talks & kisses my belly all the time. She is such a sweet kid. I can't wait to be a mother of two!

JULY 21, 2008

So today is the big day. It's 3am & I'm so excited that I can not sleep. We have to be at the hospital at 6am, the c-section is set for 7:30am I guess I'll get some sleep during recovery. I can not wait to meet our new baby. We have a boys name ready but still no girls name. We better hurry & pick because it's show time! As soon as I can I will add my birth story!
